Not only will this not happen, but AfD would lose all of their credibility by inevitably being complicit in further mass migration. So AfD is likely open to coalition but forcing conditions that CDU would never accept. The greens are doing this as well, but Merkel is much more likely to cave left than right.

In theory CDU and especially the CSU part are the parties closest to the AfD, but in practice a coalition with them will not happen.
But we need a government and since the SPD refuses to coalition, the only viable option is CDU/CSU + Greens + FDP.

She could also mean that the wars must never happen again, she says that "a year like 2015 must never happen again", that is very different from admitting her own mistakes.
