To them, standing for the national anthem is a holy ritual. And the teams that kneeled pissed all over that. So that 70% are upset. They're not being loud about it. They're just piling hundreds of dollars in in NFL merchandise into trash cans and burning it. I've seen one retired cop who was a lifelong Steelers fan burn his season tickets. He lit them with a BBQ lighter and tossed them in a bucket saying "end of an era," before walking away. These people feel a deep sense of betrayal and they're done with the NFL. I work at a factory and everyone I work with has declared "I'll never watch another NFL game." They aren't loud about it or dramatic. They simply state it as fact.
