Best gril by far.

What would have happened if Britain had voted to leave the Holy Britannian Empire?

The British Isles were not part of Britannia

Posting more Kallen

Which power of geass would you choose and why?

Rolo did nothing wrong.
C.C. is best girl.

Rolo's power because I'm a Jojofag

Yeah you fucking wish, rolo deserved to die

I like this girl from the Oz the Reflection spinoff.
Shame there wasn't more of her.

>watch Akito the Exiled
>expect Panzer-Hummel goodness
>get a golden centaur and insects with hive-minded pilots
The disappointment was palpable.

So what happens in a couple of centuries when corruption and hatred inevitably takes hold in governments across the world, war and discrimination return in full force, and the world Lulu built falls to pieces?

Posting best girl, my waifu

Nothing political about this I swear

Trump 2016

1-9 Rewatch Code Geass
0 Dont rewatch it

People can't be assed to edit it into "Make Britannia great again"?

Have fun.

Same to you, should I bring the popcorns?

C.C. finds someone to fix things.

Who's the closest thing to Lulu in the current world?

Lelouch's geass easily. You can loophole the shit out of its drawback by just saying to everyone "You will forever be entirely obedient to my every request."

Now you win.

Threadly reminder that Kaguya is best girl

No Jibun Wo?

In which CD Drama does C.C. talk to Lelouch about Geassverse history? I can't find it.

...

Why? She was just a horny loli with connections to Kyoto and Tianzi.

Code Geass has great girls, but in the main series and in spinoffs.

Only bad ones are Nina and Villetta

you should rewatch and pay more attention to her if you really think that.
I dunno, Nina kinda redeemed herself mostly, except for poor table-kun. Villetta on the other hand got an underserved happy ending.

Literally finished a rewatch on Wednesday.

She gets very little characterization beyond admiring Zero's ideals and accomplishments and having connections. She ends up as a politician. Oh yeah and she has some childhood relation to Lulu and Suzaku that isn't particularly fleshed out. She doesn't have much substance as an individual. She's not necessarily terrible nor dislikeable, but she is not best girl by any stretch.

I can't really think of a single great girl from Akito the Exiled nor Oz the Reflection.

Also, shouldn't it be titled Oz of the Reflection instead?

Leila and Ayano are both great
The Oz girls are good too.

Leila and Ayano both had decent looks, but I wasn't really charmed by their characters. They were either grating or plain boring.

Anya is nonexistent as a character.

You do understand Lelouch was only able to do that at the end because his Geass became extremely powerful, which was shown by both eyes showing the symbol. For at least two years you won't be able to do that perhaps even more considering that both major powerups occured at high stress moments, which you probably never will face.

C.C.s it's ultimately the most useful since you don't even need to mind-control people to get them what you want to do. They do it themselves meaning they don't have such a stark change in personality.
You could then stick trade your way up using the connections everyone has with each-other until you hit a ridiculously influential person and acquire their power.

I would explain the whole idea and shit of why it would work but fuck that you only get a brief explanation. Essentially norms are created and then develop and get stronger and stronger with the only real way to change this pattern being some sort of large force. Lelouch in his actions literally reset the world and created a new norm. Also there is now a constant reminder and threat personified, which will have great over future society. This is hinted at when they explained how Lelouch (a person) would be a better common enemy than prince schneizel's floating castle (an object).

(one last thing)
Even if you don't think lelouch's change is permanent (I think it is because the precedent he set will only go stronger and stronger as the golden age of humanity sees its results) he will undoubtebly have created at least a few hundred years of peace.

Lelouch actually dies, right?

Yes.

Good. It would severely cheapen his sacrifice if he was the cart driver at the end or some other bullshit.

Although I would like the idea of him dying you need to realize how else would he have been able to send Nunally his memories of what actually happened if he didn't have code. C.C showed at the beginning of the second season that those with code can send memories because she broke Lelouch's memory lock by sending some of her memories to him about his true self. Also in the series it was said that there must always to two codes and if you remember lelouch killed charles who had code.

Yes. He was a ghost in Miraculous Birthday

>it was said that there must always to two codes and if you remember lelouch killed charles who had code.
Hory shit. This level of subtlety exceeds what one usually expects from the chinese cartoons. So I was fooled.

>severely cheapen his sacrifice
>missing the point that badly
He sacrificed an image he himself created. Whether he actually died or not wasn't important at all.

someone who gets it.

I would have to agree with you one of the major themes of the series was masks and their importance. With this theme it only makes sense that the his name's meaning being defiled is more important than the physical death.

agree with you*
that his name's meaning*

agree with you. One*
>->

Completely ignores the intended punishment angle. Lelouch wanted to live, so death was his punishment, while Suzaku, who truly does want to die, is forced to live on as Zero.

Lelouch at this core didn't really want to live he wanted to live so that he could use obtained power to change the world.

Yes he did. The thing Lelouch wanted most was to live on with Nunnally and the other people precious to him.

Not quite. The theme is characters overcoming their unwillingness to live in the face of all the shit they did, be it C.C., Nina, Nunally, or even Suzaku. For the latter, existing as Zero would be a way to live without hating himself, so it wasn't really a punishment. Or, rather, Lelouch saying that this is Suzaku's punishment will allow himself to live without punishing himself. It would be strange for Lelouch to kill himself to atone for something, since he definitely isn't the only mass murderer among the main cast.

Although this only holds true if Lelouch actually buys into that ideology. He's a well known liar, as you know.

The Geass grows stronger with use. It will inevitably spread to two eyes if you use it a lot. And what kept Lelouch from using it like that was not it's lac of power but his morality.

To use a more familiar example, Lelouch is Hitler. Acting like he did will have people calling for your head. It would be like being a neo nazi today.

>Lelouch is Hitler
Nothing alike. Hitler was quite popular and defeated in war, the population then brainwashed to hate him. Lelouch purposely acted in a way to be hated by the people he ruled.

Upon further research, it seems this was a DVD rather than BD extra, and may have been a sort of history lesson booklet rather than a CD Drama, although all of the more recent sources I see point to the latter. Any anons have additional info?

Then why would he give up his life you genius.

He literally did not

Lelouch's whole mindset was to get his hands dirty for the greater good. What makes you think he could kill well meaning souldiers but not control them with geass. Before his geass grew stronger with Euphemia he could only give single and simple commands. (scratch this wall everyday). Then he was able to make more complex single direction. (Do not report anything and insist there is nothing to report). After Geass spread to his two eyes he could do complex commands that could change. (be my slave).
"The only ones who should kill are those willing to be killed"
- Lelouch
Lelouch killed people his whole way through you dunce.

Actually there is this one thread on my animelist with pages of parallels between Lelouch and Hitler.

A punishment isn't something you want.

Nevermind, I finally found it, or at least something else with a great deal of overlap, courtesy of /m/. Now to improve my moonrunes so I can actually read it.

I'll be honest, I was fishing for the reply of "Lelouch and and C.C. enact Zero Requiem Part 2."
On a more serious note, I think it's simply a matter of human nature that the world he built would inevitably fall apart in time. I do agree that there would be a few centuries of peace, though.

I'd argue that a part of him wanted to die as a form of atonement for Geassing so many people and trampling on the hearts of those he cared about.

On the other hand, living but cutting himself off from all those people is a punishment in and of itself. He'd never be able to see his loved ones again.

Although it is easy to say that this utopia will eventually fall apart it is important to look upon something both Suzaku and leouch said way back in the first season in seperate scenarios. The world's conflict is a cycle of hate of people reacting to the pain that was thrust on them. This belief is actually a common held theory that states all new national conflicts can be attributed to previous conflicts no matter how small or impossible to see the connection can be. Lelouch essentially took the cycle of hatred and focused it all on him. Although I feel like there will always be some suffering it is my belief that lelouch's plan created a society that would never allow this suffering to spread or consume people, which seem like it would be sustainable.
(Also Lelouch and C.C will act as the watchers of humanity to ensure their sacrifice was not in vain).

On the other hand, selfishness, hatred, lust for power, nationalism, and discrimination are so fundamental aspects of human nature that they're bound to come to resurgence down the line. Systems that keep these in check will become infected and fall apart. War would be inevitable, though perhaps not on a global scale in the best case scenario.
(Lelouch is dead. I do believe you mean to say L.L. and C.C.)

GUYS guys I have a problem!

Is it hypocrisy?

I guess we can settle on your best case scenario :P
also L.L. not lelouch kek

NO, i-its just that im at the store and I cant find any clothes, what I mean is it's just soup

Are you trying to buy soup?

Suzuku and Lelouch are your two gay fathers now.

I went into the next aisle but theres just more soup!

Clearly you should have gone to a different store, then.

Thread derailed by soup.
Nice.

I would have thought pizza would have been a more likely sustenance to derail the thread.

When someone mentioned a messed up Suzaka our intelligent discussion was already doomed.

Germany a shit. Long live Britannia!
>youtube.com/watch?v=vnuv0SNfHBU

Merkel is daemons!

I honestly feel like the show should have been much longer like make a 12 episode arc of retaking Asia or another 12 episode arc for the world elevator to really let the show develop.

you read my mind, I am having a drink on my brothers tonight, hope it goes well for them

Rebellion 3 when?

There's nothing left to rebel against. Lulu destroyed the world and created it anew, and he made it good.

a reminder that there are people who still debate the ending of this

Reminder that Code MENT is still on hiatus

Writer's frustration at Evangelion was palpable. Like, "Shinji's parents are assholes, why couldn't he just tell them to go fuck themselves". Which Lelouch did. Shit was so satisfying.

Non-canon.

This is the whole reason I find the idea of Lelouch being dead to be bullshit. They made up so many rules to show he CAN'T be dead that him being dead feels like a cheap cop-out for a dramatic sacrificial ending.

>not just an excuse to talk politics
Which politicians would you associate each character with?

bump

Lelouch = Trump

Trump's an idiot who couldn't make money if his life depended on it.

Lelouch managed to conquer the world.

Trump has some of Lelouch style, but none of his brains.

...

What does this picture imply? That Lelouch fucked up personnel management? Because he did.

Lelouch is alive and you fuckers will never convince me otherwise.
And and his immortal waifu are living out in the country together, until the world needs them again.
Or until Sunrise wises up and makes a new series.

Trump probably has more succesful business than anime you've watched

and certainly more brains than you've got.

By the way with brexit we've officially moved in the code geass timeline. Britannia shall arise to conquer the world.

If memory serves, Britannia is in the same location as the USA in the Geass alternate history, not Britain. I think the split happened back during the revolutionary war? CC was a spy for Washington, I think. Or at least his friend.

I need to brush up on my Geass history.

Let me guess, you support Sanders, right?

>succesful business

Most of his business ventures are failures. In fact, most of them are frauds. Ever hear of Trump University?
