The church that I used to attend had tons of young people. I'd say the average age was around 25-30, and our youth group was growing a lot at the time. European Christianity is dying, the US is somewhat undergoing the same fate, although at a slower pace.
I've met tons of southern baptists who have churches like pic related. Although don't expect to find that with catholicism. Protestant churches are like that in the US, cathedrals are more European.

I think the problem in particular is with catholicism in Europe. The young catholics here are basically leftliberals who strayed so far from the bible you can hardly call them christians. Same with younger teachers in religious class at school, all they preach is a faith that is inclusive, arbitrary and in tune with the zeitgeist, but not with the bible mostly.
