Why did the Japanese-French co-production anime stopped being a thing?

Why did the Japanese-French co-production anime stopped being a thing?
I think of series like Anime Sanjushi and The Mysteries Cities of Gold.

There are some every few years.

They're about to be a thing again soon too.

I think there was also a few italian collaborations. Like their animated show of the zorro or this days with the new lupin

Remember me?

Richelieu did nothing wrong.

There were tons of anime about famous western novels/fables/etc.

I think Japanese animation was relatively cheap but high quality back then. So that's why they produced our cartoons in Europe for us. Too bad that today we import more and more shit from that degenerate dung heap of a country known as the US.

the music was great too

Was this the one with female Aramis? I remember it having a got bath scene with her
Also 2QueenS when?
youtube.com/watch?v=Fs105n836l8

yeah it's the series with reverse-trap Aramis

Japan + France = great reverse traps

I realized it was a reverse-trap before the bath scene, mainly because of the VA

Nips were fascinated by Europe back in the 70s, especially girls. That's why many shoujo mangas were localized on Europe. After the lost decade, Japan lost interest to the rest of the world and they want foreigners to leave them alone to be able to indulge into idol faggotry, outdated cellphones, relatively low use of the internet, etc.

USA isn't that bad. Thanks to them we had stuff like Panty and Stocking

There are still french people working in anime

Thomas Romain is talented but also an obnoxious person and I should probably stop following artist Twitters

New Ghibli film will be a co production if I recall.

I've not seen Heidi so I dunon what its production values are like but Anne of Green Gables also by Takahata is probably the most high-budget looking 70s anime I've seen.

Miyazaki's Future Boy Conan is cool but feels significantly cheaper, there are more overt "ok time to save money" episodes much earlier

Oh by 70s anime I mean 70s TV anime

Movie-wise it's Animal Treasure Island

Franco-japanese co-production ?

What anime ?

So much better than what we got.

Je m'appelle rémi et je suis sans famille !

The one that didn't happen.

Yes.

Oh might be cool

RIP

Why ?
So is it a real anime or was it canceled before airing ?

Do you live under a rock?

I don't know that.... Thing
So it might be possible

He's retarded. Look at the way he types.

>Sup Forums crap
>does not even have a japanese wiki entry
Nice try, faggot.

You know it was supposed to be an anime first, right?

>Why?
In an interview the staff said it was changed because 3D is more popular worldwide

Fuck It looked promising in 2D

>Too bad that today we import more and more shit from that degenerate dung heap of a country known as the US

most US animation is done in Canada or Korea, the more you know.

Can't believe you guys didn't mention Ulysses 31, shit was hype as fuck.

Wow le coup de vieux

Keit-ai.

it still sucks, you know

What makes France such a superior country?

>people unironically liking the 3d artstyle more
Why do I even read the comments

Relatively early tech adoption compared to the rest of the world.

Leave by the way.

Why do you think 2D western films are dead. Most people prefer shitty CGI films for whatever reason

I'm trying to forget.

I remember watching this every morning as a kid. So much nostalgia.

The CGI isn't even the only problem, you can tell they dumbed down the writing as well.

>that degenerate dung heap of a country known as the US.
Euroshits still jealous of how much better we are than them I see

yeah no, tried to keep it going one last time but fell through, french don't care enough to go through the trouble of 2D animation when they have artists popping out the wazoo trying to get 3D animation jobs

The next Ghibli film.

probably 3D just like Red Turtle, French are doing most of the work and just using the studio in name because they're all huge Ghibli fans

Red Turtle was fully 3D?

looks like it

Huh. I didn't even know it was out already.

Pokemon?

Because Japanese-UK anime is better

>Life of Pi: The animation
