Not a single anime this season will hit 10K except for idolshit

>not a single anime this season will hit 10K except for idolshit

Is anime dead?

Not as long as idolshit keeps it alive
Long live idolshit

Anime was alive?

Yes.

Wait a few months and it'll get better, it's completely retarded to post this so soon.

>ANIME SALES ARE DROPPING WHAT DO WE DO
>cut costs by outsourcing more and making fewer episodes
>also, increase BD prices so the few sales we do make will be enough
>GENIUS
and that's why the anime industry is so shit

>idolshit
mecha. Idolshit alone tend to sell more than mecha nowadays.

What about ReZero? Is not selling?

Overestimated by stalker, maybe it'll reach 8K before dropping off.

The worst thing that could have happened to anime was for it to be licensed and sold to the West. It gives the false impression that it is made for westerners and it is just not. Complaints about bad stories, bad protagonists, lack of popularity for "good" stories is just entitled whinging. These anime and manga are not made for you. They will never cater to your preferences because you are not the target audience. Get over yourself.

Back when NO anime was licensed in the West, fans and fansubs knew that they were consuming something that was from not only a foreign culture but a completely alien one. It was subversive, imported by fans, subbed by fans. Now companies are trying to market it to edgy teens and wondering why their sales projections are so far off.

Its time to tell these companies like Crunchydong and Funishition to fuck off. Stop buying what they're trying to sell you. Fansubs will fill the gap.

Shit season, happens from time to time, nothing new, move on.

>shit season
This season was great. It was last season that was dogshit.

As long as my CR subscription doesn't go up im fine with those methods.

They should stop selling their shit in 8 volumes 6k yen each.

Doesn't really matter. What's the manabi line again? Like 6k?

Wow it's almost like the 2016 season sales aren't complete? Who would've guessed?

>is anime dead
fuck off with your reactionary alarmist bullshit

Most of the big sellers have already gone on sale.

What the fuck do that fucking autistic rant you just wrote has a single thing to do with Anime doing awfully in Japan you weeaboo fucktard?

Did you not read the
>past spring sales

Those aren't projections of the whole year

Are you retarded? 1. we're looking at japan sales here. 2. Fansubs are the fucking problem, more specifically, the internet age as a whole. Back in the day, people actually HAD to buy shit they liked, now the broadcast is posted on every anime fan site no more than 30 minutes after it airs. And the fansubs come out for illegal download soon after. So, after a whole season airs and most people download it... what makes you think the majority of people will actually support the original release? Don't get me wrong, I download shit too, but I always buy a series when I think it's worth it. The problem is, the vast majority of people just fuck off after that, and the anime's sales take a huge hit... Just look at fucking porn, it has the same problem. The 80's and 90's had good production values for the time, and often featured ongoing stories, on location sets and shit like that. There are obviously going to be some exceptions now and again, but on the whole just like anime, when people get shit for free, 9 times out of 10 they ain't gonna buy it. And that is why total anime sales are garbage, especially when you factor in what decade it is and how much more popular anime is in the west.

lurk for 2 years before posting

>not understanding how sales work

what aired in 2013 that sold so much?

Idolshitters like you are part of the problem (with content if not sales).

SnK

What went so wrong in 2012?

2899

And Monogatari.

Nice copypasta

This season was better than winter but it was still bad.

Two "intentional" train wrecks that ended up forgettable tripe, the AoT clone but better ended up being AoT dipped in Guilty Crown brand nonsense, Re:zero can no longer have coherent discussion, the SoLs are ignored by nips/Kuma Miko's anime orginal ending was a mistake.

Even after saying this its still slightly better than something as unremarkable as Konosuba ruling over two meme shows, fujo bait Sup Forums pretends to like so they look smart, and a time travel murder mystery that'll only be remembered due to cuck memes
