How does it feel that Death Note and Code Geass are now considered anime classics?

How does it feel that Death Note and Code Geass are now considered anime classics?

Good

Feels bad.

I feel nothing.

Classic in my opinion will always mean pre-digital.

Indifferent.

how is pizza hut the anime a classic

Code Geass could be justified as "classic" worthy even as it was airing though

If a piece of work is ten years or older and it's still renowned in its media, then the work is considered a classic.

>chode gayass
>still renowed

No

Eh
I'm okay with it since I watched those shows in middle school/early high school
I don't think they're fantastic but I'm definitely nostalgic about them. It's nice to see that the nostalgia is shared.

Didn't some US publisher start labeling DtB and E7 as "anime classics" a few years back? That was fucking weird.

>always
I hope you die young, then, because you'll look like a fucking retard if you're in your 60s and still insisting that anime made 50+ years ago can't be classics.

I'll always remember that penis.

I feel okay about that
Death Note is a very high quality anime. The realistic style and good animation really hooks the normies. And the story is a matter of taste. Since most people like the story, the other aspects easily lift it up to "classic" standards

Code Geass is a differend beast, though. The style is, well, really "out there" and the animation is bumpy . not Eva tier, but not really consistant. And the story seems to really be a hit-or-miss. Some people love Death Note, most agree that it's at least solid. While with CG you either love it or hate it. I really quite enjoyed it, although I wouldn't watch it again

Death Note is kinda shit so I'm mad.

Haven't seen CG so no opinion.

>normies

Where's the realism in Death Note?
Light is a 10/10 anime pretty boy, Misa is a 10/10 idol, L is a very attractive man
Then there's all the over the top stuff like Light going fucking insane when he kills people and Mikami literally slashing the death note while yelling DELETE

Fine, they were good series, at least in the first half

1st half of death note is okay, the second doesn't exist

Only newfriends dislike code geass

Why do people say it's the first "half"?
25/37 isn't half, it's 2/3rd

First half of the story........

The second DN OP is way better than first though

It did have lewder Misa so yes

Because in the first 25 some episodes were subpar

I have to agree on that
Was it ever stated exactly how many people Light killed by the way?
After several years it must have been in the hundreds of thousands

By whom?

>not Eva tier, but not really consistant
I dunno if you're implying it's badly animated but when Eva has proper animation it tends to be REALLY good
Plenty of people on Sup Forums disliked Geass as it was airing from what I recall, many just watched S2 to see how dumb it gets

IIRC season 1 was well liked though

It just means they're old.
Shakeaspeare can eat a dick.

Im glad theyre considered classics. Now theyre staples and can be shared in the future. Just in case some day all anime just becomes clickbait fanservice bullshit

Death note was nowhere near perfect but alright at first. It seemed over the top though

>seemed
It was very over the top
Remember the potato chip?

>Code Geass is a differend beast, though. The style is, well, really "out there" and the animation is bumpy . not Eva tier, but not really consistant.
If you are implying CG has better animation than NGE you may want to get your eyes checked.
NGE suffers from the Gainax reuse of animation cuts, but it's miles ahead CG in every visual aspect (I would say any aspect and that comparing CG to NGE is in itself a sin, but that's a different story).

Death Note was a great 25 episodes series followed by a season of garbage which didn't need to exist.

Code Geass was 50 episodes of awesomeness.

seconded

You'll look like a retard anyway if you're in your 60s and talking about anime to literally anyone.

both are okay, but dnfags are fujoshits end of story

>How does it feel that Death Note and Code Geass are now considered anime classics?
By whom?

Both shows were fujoshit pandering garbage.

Elfen Lied > Death Note

Is Anzu the closest we'll ever get to making anime real?

Seriously no. Only reason anyone knows it is because edgelords soon after finishing DN search for another self insert smartass character and ends with Lelouch

CG, DN, Trigan, Cowboy Bebop, Slayers - can you name past-2010-show that is on the same level as them?

Samurai champloo? God tier soundtrack and smooth animation

>past-2010-show
>samurai champloo (2004)

Maybe 'post-2010'?

...

I literally just finished watching it after a decade of neglecting to do so.

From design, to music, to even the plot itself it shows that quite a level of effort was put in.

After all the negatives I heard I thoroughly enjoyed it more than most of what has been aired so far this year.

Am I the only one who likes tehe last third of Death Note?
At least Light gor what he deserved

It was best anime (and manga) till L's death. Then plot went shit.
But the first part was best of best with so much intensity that it delivers feels even after third time watching.

It's still really good. The entire FBI arc, up to Naomi's death, is fucking superb, with episode 7 being one of the best episodes of anime I have ever see. I'm rewatching it right now, ant it's holding up so far.

I's slow at watching anime, after 16 years I only have a 150 shoes, but on the other hand I pick ones I really like. Pretty glad I finally watched it. L's theme tellingly taking Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells.

wat
all my friends will have around same age, why would we stop talking about things we like

No, fuck off
The way they made it was horrible
You don't make Light lose after killing L and achieving such a humiliating curbstomp
Especially not with discount L as the new guy
Besides, Light was too emotional and choked when he should have killed the rest of the team and gone completely off the radar

WATASHI WA L DESU

His wriggly mouth movements combined with his staring creeped me out a little when he said that to Light.

*WATASHI WA L DESU, MAZAFACKKA

it's funny and sad at the same time how they predicted the future.

+1

Hey calm down man, NGE is not the holy grail of animé

Normie confirmed

>Not seen CG
Why are you here ?

>Code Geass
A classical example of trainwreck that is.

Not that trainwrecks can't be enjoyable, but the shitty writing is still there.

Let me try
