Why are humans so touchy about the placement of their souls?

Why are humans so touchy about the placement of their souls?

Stupid essentialists

Maybe because the soul is a gift from God and what separates humans from animals.

Playing with people's souls is an insult to God and Jesus

This.

We're a Christian imageboard after all.

This pretty much.
Not that nips would know anything about it, filthy pagan savages.

Weird spiritual/religious stuff.

Shit thread for shit show. Makes sense.

Dubs approve it

>Playing with people's souls is an insult to God and Jesus
It's actually a Confucian belief. Many Christians would gladly accept external storage of their souls in return for a literally bulletproof body.

I bet you would be touchy as well if I crammed your soul into your anus.

Because the uncle D said it's in your pineal gland not in a gemstone.

Dubs approves it

Shit
I'll stop samefagging, sorr

...

I am only about the placement of my cock. As long as its in kyouko, im cool.

Kyouko enjoys mine.

Who knows. The brain is like a soul antenna anyway. You're not even really here nostly. Look straight up, you're wayyyyyyyy up there, and everything in between. This is like, just the very tip of you.

I'll take you seriously. First of all, there is no universally agreed-on definition of the term "soul". We should use the term "consciousness" and accept that, in context of this being a fantasy show, a consciousness can exist independently of a nervous system or a computer network in a crystal.

Gender theory tells us that we derive our identity from the way our bodies are structured, especially in relation to thr bodies of other people. While gender theory has been perverted for the ends of radical SJWs and modern tumblr feminists, I'd say there's some true to that idea. Your body is the most and only concrete marker of who you are; everything else, such as your relationships with others or your place in society, are only fictions: they are only true because everyone else also believes them to be true. Suppose you consider nationality to be part of your identity. You are only of a certain nationality insofar as you believe that you are of that nationality, and that the relevant authorities believe/accept that you are of that nationality. This is mutable. But your body is not.

Aside from your body, your personality (and by relation, your values and memories) is probably one other immutable marker of identity. But think about it. If one day you woke up and you were a girl (assuming you were male before), or if you woke up and you were black/Hispanic/Asian/Slavic/Caucasian, you would likely come to identify with other such people more, and your personality and values will change accordingly.

It makes sense for the girls to be shocked about where their souls were. But even as that divided them from normal humans, it should also unite them.

You sound like my mother.

Kyoko is so fucking cute.

shes not supposed to be cute tho, shes supposed to be dangerous.....

Dangerously cute.

She tries not to be cute and fails gracefully at this.

Why do anime characters think that they're monsters if they're slightly different from everyone else?
>I have superpowers = I'm a monster
I don't understand where this thinking comes from. Why is it always such a huge conflict?

>Gender theory tells us
I'll keep listening buat damn user, people will stiop reading there

Well in the context of the show that's not true. They don't have a problem with their powers, rather with the way they achieve them.
Addmittedly beeing just a soul in a gem attached to a body that only doesn't rot because it's sustained by magic that you have to fight for with your life is kind of a scary concept.

Why does Madoka attract tripfags so much?

The terrible ones are not here. One of them is even banned.

I think it's more that in Madoka Magica that the girls didn't really understand what it meant when they agreed to a contract.

Most probably assumed that meant fighting monsters and looking cool and get a wish on top of it as well. What they don't realise is that they agreed to sell their soul and doomed themself to die tragically - either by a Witch's hand or another Magical Girl's.
Plus most girls don't understand what they can wish for. I mean, Charlotte sold her soul to eat cake with her dying mother when she could have wished for her mother to be cured.

If you don't care about where your soul is, Kyouko-chan, may I stick it up my ass?

I want to convert her back to the right path

That sounds very different.

It was QB who said that line, not Kyouko.

...

>Lawnchair banned
>Madoka threads down to once or twice a day with 100 replies or less
I hope it's permenant.

amen.

Poor Kyouko. Such a tragic past.

I have bad news.

What?

I think part of the problem is that the souls are transformed. Their souls are destroyed and replaced with something that isn't the same. That would be a problem for a lot of people.

Oh Apple-chan, you shouldn't disrespect you're waifu's religion like that.

Very cute.

If the tripfags stay gone, maybe people will have real Madoka threads because they don't have to worry about getting assimilated into the perpetual circle jerk and autism wars.

There's also the whole aspect that they were never told that this would happen.

There's also the whole concept of bodily autonomy, that you dictate what is done with your body. By default, you have to sign up to be an organ donor, even though you're dead and will no longer need your organs anyways. Although "zombie" is technically not the correct term, the fact is that having your consciousness unknowingly torn out of you and placed in a gem, reducing your physical body to a corpse animated by magic, is kind of disturbing.

Well, you could go be a missionary, user-kun. Isn't that part of your duty as a Christian, to spread the Lord's message?

But you are right. I only met one other Christian family there as far as I can remember.

>kind of disturbing
I see no "kind of" in any of this. I see straight up horror here, like what would happen if you took Friday the 13th, The Giver, District 9, and Parasyte, put them in a blender with some high octane nightmare fuel, and set it on "pureƩ".

I just want to give her a hug and lie to her that everything is going to be okay.

I want to hug her too, but I wouldn't lie to her. I would protect her somehow and make sure things really will be okay.

But the body has no purpose except to be your soul's vessel, according to Western religion.

It's the East that views the body as important as the soul, thus making their separation unholy.

>Assume blue-haired girl died when her gem left the radius of her body
>Oh no she just deactivated for a bit

Tons of drama over nothing. Magical boys would have found this rad as hell.

>watching a show with just men
Are you gay, son?

>Cute magical boys doing cute things is gay

That would not be a lie.
You haven't told her the definition of 'okay' and exacty when will everything go 'okay'. You can make it true when you want.

It's p gay, man

She did die, though. Well, her body did, and the soul gem's return revived her.

Same thing when she went witch, her body was dead. Kyouko was keeping it fresh via magic, in the hopes that they could get her soul gem back and it would revive her body.

Are you guys ready for next season featuring Sentai Magica Madoka with demon-queen Homura creating a new witch to terrorize the town every week?

Holy shit, yes

She had no pulse and wasn't breathing. She was clinically dead, until her soul gem was returned so that magic could resustain her vitals. If the soul gem was removed for too long, her body would have begun to decompose.

>Kyuubey fills the role of her cringing, often abused manservant who provides play-by-play narration for battles and events

How long until the milking stops?

Somewhere after the season where they start using military vehicles to fight witch battleships.
