tell your war story anons. my grandfather was in auchwitz until he died after falling from a guard tower in 1943

I hear Mortal Kombat was invented in a concentration camp

My uncle was the mechanic on the Bockscar, which bombed Nagasaki.

Didn't knew that "falling from guard tower" could mean "getting into the oven", kike.

>go to Iraq
>Hot as balls
>Smells like sewage
>Don't even get shot at
>The people are mostly okay
My deployment was weird

You are all cannon fodder, unitelligent men posing as martyrs, fanatics , ideologists.. Not a single achievement in life but this quotes and phrases that you toss around like if they belong to what you actually believe. Are you people the reflection of your thoughts? People like you were víctims of the great wars. Because they created enemies and smiled at a danger they didnt understand. We are a cursed generatión of sad people.

It's a classic joke in slav countries, calm down

My great grandfather was drafted to fight for the persian army during WWII but Russia and Britain invaded Iran and disbanded the army.

My father joined the Iranian army to fight the Iraqi army.

I deployed to Afghanistan in 08-09. I worked as the vehicle commander of the chase vehicle on a O-7's PSD. We had a really good rep, if you wanted to go somewhere fast and safely in Kabul you rode with us.

Occasionally we would have people ask for rides. The usually rode in the chase vehicle because it's harder to exfil a VIP if there are a bunch of passengers in the VIPs car.

One day two US GS types ask for a ride, they mount up in my vehicle. One passenger worked with the Department of State another the DEA. They were arguing about a poppy field, well more specifically the destruction of it. The DEA agent wanted it burned, the DoS said that couldn't happen because it was Karzai's (President of Afghanistan) brothers field. His brother was the #2 opium dealer in the world.

After we came home I found out the CIA was paying Karzai a 250k/mo. I also learned that the weird creepy build I drove by all the time was the SALT PIT, where they tortured/interrogated people.

classic joke everywhere

Not an oldfag in sight.

My great grandfather died in Auschwitz when he was on patrol and was crushed by another guard who fell on him from a tower.

My grandad was crushed to death by someone falling off a guard tower

>tell your war stories
Tells somebody else's war story
Fuck off faggot

>Being this new
Goddamn son.

My grandfather had a hand in the development of the atom bomb during WWII and had 50 people underneath him.

Pic related: He developed this picture. 1st nano second of the Abomb being detonated. Those thing sticking out of the bottom of the explosion are cables that were attached to the tower where the bomb was placed.

It CHEESES me that it took this long

Good. Hopefully he cried like a bitch on his way down. Nazi scum

this ain't Sup Forums fag

>be great-grandfather
>be autistic racist hick from Atlanta, basically Sup Forums
>no one really likes him
>America enters WW2
>sign up for US Army because boredom and wants to shoot foreigners
>get stationed in England
>meets 16 year old Jewish girl who came to the UK four years earlier on a Kindertransport from Poland mere months before the war began
>she actually kinda likes him despite his being an abrasive anti-social prick
>they fuck
>gets her pregnant within a month
>ohshit.jpg
>sense of honor compels him to ask her to marry him
>she agrees but the Normandy Landings happen and he's deployed to Europe before they can marry
>serves as gunner on an M3 Half Track (Anti-Aircraft variant)
>doesn't shoot down any planes because the Allies blew 90% of the Luftwaffe out of the sky beforehand
>gets used to chew up German bunkers instead
>walked inside of one afterward
>shit gave him nightmares
>vehicle runs over a mine a few months into the campaign
>severely injured, narrow avoided losing leg because he moved at the last second
>is told he's getting medically discharged
>yay
>goes back to England awaiting repatriation
>Polish waifu is 6 months along
>marries her two months later
>grandfather is born
>takes her back home to Georgia
>they fight and fuck a lot, six kids
>grandpa (the oldest) is taught Polish by his mom and winds up assigned to PSYOPS when he joins the Army during the Cold War
>great-grandmother assumes entire family perished in the Holocaust
>Cold War comes to an end in the 90s
>great-grandmother decides to write her old neighbors just to be sure
>turns out she had an infant brother (born after she left) who was adopted by Christian neighbors shortly before her family were deported and killed
>happy family reunion, right?
>turns out he's as much of a jackass as her husband
>ohwell.jpg

pic kinda related, she looked A LOT like Rutka Laskier in her wedding photo (although a bit fatter because she was eight months pregnant at the time). It's creepy.

My grandfather was an elite sniper. He was to be deployed to Dieppe (a volunteer, he had balls of steel) but he had to be operated for hemorrhoids so he couldn't go. They almost all got slaughtered there. I'm alive today because of hemorrhoids.

Cool

My grandpa fought against the Turks in the 1974 invasion of Cyprus

My grandma's first husband was a US soldier. I get the impression he died during D-Day. She had a kid, and married my grandpa. My dad is the product of my grandma's second marriage. I get from my mom and dad's stories that grandma treated the kid from the first marriage better than him. Seeing it now in grandmas old age; she dotes on memories of dead 1st husband, has a picture of his grave, and a note from some Euro-couple who once took care of his grave. Still don't know what my grandpa did during WW2, and I can't ask since he's dead. I dont think he was in the military at all.
Part of me hopes he slept with a few troops wives while they were away.

More stories please.

My grandfather also died in Auschwitz. He broke his back carrying two officers to the crematorium.

I dont get it...

My grandfather rescued a man whose brothers died in the war. Destroyed tiger with 1911

Thanks for that wonderful story Mr. Goldberg.

Why would they cremate German dead?

My grandfather enlisted in the US Navy in 1940. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor on the Arizona. Like most personnel, he had the day off.

He had a troubled youth during the depression, with an alcoholic mother who stayed with various boyfriends. He was mostly raised by a former slave neighbor in Virginia. He made friends everywhere he went, but wasn't close to anyone but his mother and neighbor.

As a teenager, he went west alone seeking employment and hoped to become a boxer. He met my grandmother, a girl from Kansas, in San Diego and married her not two weeks later. He enlisted and bought her a house on the coast of Texas to wait for him after he finished his training and was deployed to Hawaii.

He didn't like to talk about his service, though he was very proud of it and was proud of my uncle who served in Vietnam.

He only ever told two stories about the war. One he only told me when he was drunk. He fought on Guadalcanal and stepped on a nail. They treated it with sulfur. Not long after he was sent back to Texas to train recruits on the Norton bomb-sight.

The other was about Pearl Harbor. He made one great friend in the navy and they served on the Arizona. But his friend didn't have the day off. His corpse may still be trapped in the wreck. My grandfather was reassigned to a carrier, the one that launched Doolittle's raid. He loaded the bombs. On one he wrote a message, "To Tojo from Burton you son of a bitch".

He named my uncle Burton. And he never had an unkind word for the Japanese.

Because its part of the joke newfag.

>He was mostly raised by a former slave neighbor in Virginia.

Are you black?

I fought in the Neapolitan wars.

this joke never gets old
checked & loved

one grandfather lost his leg, because an italian soldier shot him from behind.
other one was wounded right before big clusterfuck at Stalingrad. fucked him up.

Great Grandfather served aboard an escort destroyer for the Enterprise in the Pacific and his brother was a member of the Finnish SS during the Second World War. One Grandfather shot gooks in Korea as an AA Gunner while another was a Door Gunner in 'Nam. Uncle currently serving in the Army as a Chaplain, fairly high up.

No, poor white trash. My grandfather always said in Virginia then it went whites > blacks > white trash, because blacks would always work hard. The neighbor was just a kind old man who cared about a neglected kid in his neighborhood.

My Grandfather also died in Auschwitz. He shot himself after watching a guy fuck the bodies of two dead officers.

so this is how the family legend goes, faggots

>Great Grandfather is an italian POW in Nazi occupied Europe.
>Nazis fed POWs like shit, resulting in my GG getting an ungodly UTI
>GG doesn't piss for days, is lined up for the firing squad.
>Prays to the virgin mother
>waterfallsouthisdick.jpeg

so, he wasn't sentence to death, but still a POW

>weeks later
>Nazis are on the retreat on the western front, orders are given to execute all prisoners.
>Before orders are carried out, Allied troops over take the POW camp and free my GG.
>GG’s daughter marries my grandfather, an American service man in Italy, and brings her home to America. Has children, who then have children who believe in the American ideal.
>MFW I’m my GG’s namesake

America forever you fucking commie bastards

An Italian POW to the Nazis?

italy changed sides during WWII you nigger

Yeah, but what did he do before? The legend begins with him becoming a POW four years into the war and he was old enough to have a teenager or adult daughter by then?

grandfather was a chinese soldier in the korean war

he killed gooks and burgers

>great great uncle served in USAAF during WW2
>flew bombing missions over Germany
>always came back damaged
>get shot down one day
>bail out
>one crew member dies due to parachute failure
>get captured by G*rmans
>spend 2 years in a Stalag prison camp
>breaks out Steve McQueen style
>returns to Allied lines
>comes back home at some point
>I only got to talk to him twice
>he gave me the interest I have in military aviation to this day

Rest In Peace, Uncle Cleo.

my grandmother was an less than 5 years old when the allies liberated her town. she told me stories of the allies dropping leaflets saying to take shelter bc hey were going to bomb the living shit out of the military installations.

i dont know what he did outside of serving in the italian armed forces. he might have fought on both sides, i dont know. but he loved america and so do i...

YOU COMMIE

It's Goldstein actually.

I see. He sure sounds like he was a kind, decent fellow. I hope your grandfather didn't take too much shit for being raised by a black man.

RIP AMERICA AND HER SONS FOREVER

My great grand father joined the Army was deployed in Germany during WWII and rose to the rank of Lieutenant by the end of the war.
>He brought back lots of cool war trophies such as
>Ostegruppe NSDAP Poltical Officer's Visor Cap
>Luftwaffe Sword (Early Version)
>Wehrmacht Field Marshall Sword
>K98 Bayonet
>An SS helmet
>A Bunch of letters and certificates he found on dead Germans.

Most men from my family were too young or too old to fight during WW2 but my great grandfather was a commie who was with the Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front. He wasn't a soldier, I think he just brought them supplies by train.

Audience expects joke teller to be insinuating their grandfather is a dead Jew until they reverse expectations insinuating they were a Nazi leading to a humourous outcome

One time we were driving on this shitty 2 lane road that ran from bogram AFB and Kabul.

We were in a two vehicle convoy. I was in the rear vehicle.

Another vehicle started following us. We flashed then with the dazzler, had my Gunner point his machine gun at him. Kept following.

They looked like they could be coalition forces but no way to confirm. Plus why the fuck we're they following us.

Everyone was getting wigged out. Running out of options. We came up to this spot on the road where the Afghan kids would "fill" potholes. I tell my Gunner to get a case of water ready. He opens the door and dumps it all over the road. The kids swarmed ignoring the car behind us.

The car that was following us locked up it's brakes and almost ran over the kids. They stopped following us.

Why RIP? Americans continue to go eagerly die for their jewish masters 70+ years later. Your dream is still alive and well.

bad syntax

RIP TO UNCLE JET PILOT

MAY AMERICA AND HER SONS LIVE FOREVER

>but my great grandfather was a commie who was with the Wehrmacht

How was that supposed to work out? Weren't the Communists and SPDfags the first ones the Nazis started killing when they took power.

Why do you think he moved to the other ocean as a lone teenager? Not that he ever phrased it like that.

Fuck off data miner. Hitler was right.

Not very funny on Sup Forums though. It doesnt really have the same shock value. We're all thinking fucking sweet that his grandfather was a nazi.

Fucked a 350+ lb Korean/white chick before. Not sure if that counts as a war story but I've seen and done some shit. No pussy ptsd either.

My grandfather fought in Germany. Won the bronze star, and brought back a Walther he got off of some German pilot. He was in the 69th infantry division when it met the Red Army in Torgau.

RIP to both our Uncle pilots.

my cousin was in east timor, they pretty much just rode around terrorising everyone.
one of the new boys took offense so ended up getting bullied.
he told on them, shit blows up. people get court martialed and dishonourable discharges and military prison.
he says he still thinks it was worth it.

I guarded nukes in Germany.

50% of the time I had a hangover.

The bag for my gas mask usually had a hammock in it instead.

We had four towers that we rotated through on one hour shifts, but we generally just went to one tower and slept.

The RAF used to call the ECBC phone and make bomb threats.

Sometimes German girls who were dumped by soldiers would call the ECBC phone and make bomb threats.

They always yapped about the Fulda Gap, but our mission was to prevent the theft of our nukes by a terrorist entity that would approach from the nearby French border.

The general idea was that our towers would be taken out by LAWs or similar and the remaining SAT/BAF soldiers would be gassed.

There was an Alpha Battery about twenty kilometers away. Their mission would be to rain munitions down upon the site, thus destroying us, the enemy force, the nuke storage bunkers and the maintenance & assembly buildings.

One particularly strange day, two black helicopters approached the site unannounced and attempted to land. They had no markings. Turned out they were GSG9 on a training gig and misidentified the landing zone. All anuses were puckered, a real NATO shitshow, made it into the news, early retirements for some VIP types.

Best times were riding in Chinooks w/nukes to Ramstein. Nice TDY $$$, more girls, more clubs. Always the hangover tho'.

Now I just sit around drinking Rainier, eating huge slices of pumpkin pie and watch "Wheeler Dealers." I lost my enthusiasm.

He apparently disliked communist and socialist politicians. He wasn't part of any party, he also owned a gas station, had employees and drove a BMW bike. He wasn't a very typical communist.

He didn't move, he was like 22 when he joined the Army, and he went right back home to Atlanta after it ended.

His wife (my great-grandmother), was a Jewish girl from Poland who came to the United Kingdom on a Kindertransport (10,000 Jewish children, mainly from Eastern Europe who were evacuated to the UK on the eve of WW2) in 1939 at the age of 12. She met my great-grandfather in early 1944, he was stationed near the town she lived in. As for how she felt about all it, she had no home or family to go back home to. To her knowledge, all of them were dead (she only found out about her brother many years later). She was very sad about it, her husband on the other hand, came to harbor an intense hatred of Germans for the rest of his life ("it's their damn fault I don't have any inlaws" were his words). She admitted that she was actually glad she had my grandfather so young. Having a child to care for kept the gravity of what happened to her off her mind.

My grandfather took tickets for the holocoster and masturbation machines.

te creo, huevón.

>He wasn't part of any party

That probably saved his life.

How drunk were you?

My one great grandfather was wounded during the Battle of the Marne in WW1. My other great grandfather survived Pearl Harbor and was on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific theater, he was also on an aircraft carrier during Korea. My grandfather fought extensively in the European theater during WWII in places like France, Austria and Germany. My uncle was a Huey pilot in Nam. That's about it.

ty for your family's service but these are not stories lul my nigga

>tfw great grandparents were too old and grandparents were too young to fight in WW2
No stories from me :(

That is crazy. Didn't an insane amount of civvies die in the iran/iraq conflict? and didn't saddam use chem weaps?
>>btw
mein grossvater worked on rockets for hitler, fled to south america after ww2

>>Sometimes German girls who were dumped by soldiers would call the ECBC phone and make bomb threats.
topkek

B-17 Ball turret gunner

Still alive at 91 years old

Yeah my dad almost died from machine gun fire barely missing his head, because he was in the frontlines near Iranian Kurdistan-Iraqi border.

They destroyed encampments near his base with constant missile fire.
My friends uncle got captured and tortured until his intestines ruptured.
My aunts husband got run over by his own friends by an army van so he was discharged for a while

Here he is returning home with his brothers who all survived

Don't know much detail about my great grandfather's service. I just know he was WIA after getting shot in the mouth. He lost all of his teeth because of it. As for my other great grandfather, he was forced to jump out of a sinking ship into burning water during Pearl Harbor. Funny enough, he survived both WW2 and Korea only to die in a peacetime accident on the USS Leyte. My grandfather was army infantry in the European front, he was in the Battle of the Bulge and when asked if he killed anyone he said "certainly!" He also drove General Patton around from time to time. As for my uncle, he didn't say much about Nam. The only thing I know is that he was planning on adopting an orphaned Vietnamese boy, but the communist faggots raided the village and killed the boy. My grandmother says that when he came back from Nam, he would wake up screaming in the middle of the night and that he smoked a lot of weed.

How'd he wind up with a son living in the land of the Great Satan?

brutal stories.
did your uncle let his friends run him over on purpose for the discharge?

>randfather's father was an officer in Austro Hungarian army, teaching soldiers in use of a Maxim gun on the Galician front against the Russians.
>Got captured
>returned in the beggining of s russian civil war with a wife, some young noble girl named Anastasia

And no, sadly, its not that one.

Kek I was watching that movie last night.

Did he at least pretend it was THE Anastasia for kinks?

>be armyfag

>dude lifts his head and looks at the EOD guy and waves him off before going back to sleep
>see him sometimes on future patrols, sleeping with his cock n balls out
>start calling him "cash prizes" because Dane Cook was still funny back then
>"cash prizes coming up, twenty meters, right side"

We're not ethnic persians. So our community started leaving Iran in the 2000s.

I don't think it was on purpose it was due to incompetent driving.

Kek

Does the Iranian government treat non-Persians like shit? Is the Burger Hate legit or just empty rhetoric they spout for the cameras?

Early on in the Islamic revolution Christians like Armenians and Assyrians couldn't hire Muslim workers or have some rights but it's a bit better now so the government tolerates the ethnic minorities in the government.

gulags until 54

My great grandfather was part of the Danish underground resistance movement during WWII. He was wanted and eventually caught by the nazis. They tied him to a chair and asked him to give up his other resistance buddies. When he refused they took his shoes and socks off, then they took a pair of pliers and pulled out the nail on his big toe. He still didn't talk. They pulled out a couple of his nails before they let him go.

My grandfather killed commies in Korea and Nam

>Didn't knew

My grandfather was in the IRA.

>Served in OIF1 - toppled bagdad, got the flag, shot civilians. You know, war
