the first movie is good

it was pretty interesting and the ost was fucking outstanding but the whole thing felt very disjointed and i was a bit lost

second movie was pretty slow though i appreciated the setting and character-building even if it wasn't always necessarily believable

about to watch the third now, should i strap in??

The third one's pretty good, but the fifth one's unanimously agreed to be the best one.

Trust me just keep going on, you won't regret it especially if you end up enjoying the third movie

Also remember the movies aren't in chronological order

i figured that much. i should watch them in release order right??

You're supposed to just except the weird shit going on and think about it and figure it out later.

Of course. I can't think of a series you shouldn't watch in release order.

the first time, yes

then reward yourself 3 months from now and watch it in chronological order and be amazed at how much shit you missed

>but the whole thing felt very disjointed and i was a bit lost
That's good. The first four movies are set up that slowly fill in the blanks, and it all falls into place in the after-credits scene of movie 4.
Well, if you were paying attention at least.

understood

I wouldn't bother with that. Just watch a second time in release order and you'll figure out what you missed from memory.

can we talk about how the soundtrack is straight fire

There's a reason no one gave a shit about KnK until Tsukihime/Fate made Nasu relevant.

its garbage
its just shiki is my waifu crap with her just moe-ping in bed

And here come the shitposters. A little too late this time lads, people have already given OP solid answers.

I wish they gave their tracks actual fucking names and not a hodgepodge of indecipherable fucking M##s
Thanatos, Sprinter, and Oblivious are pretty much the only KnK tracks I can name.

When you stop saving thumbnails

>Tfw M40
Kajiura's best ost for IMO.

>Unique story telling
>Unique cinematic direction
>Good twist
Mujun Rasen/ Paradox Spiral/ Movie 5 is the best.
Don't even bother with other movies, because the rest are just mediocre at best.

Just the truth. Its 1% credits, 3% action, 3% plot and 93% shiki lying in a bed. The only movie which gives the other character some development is shit on because it doesn't focus on shiki

5th movie
fuck coalgirls

I liked all of them.
They all got awesome visual direction.
Some are better than the others but they were all, at least, good.

It doesnt
Worst fate movie serie imho

3 minutes after the first movie starts.

>fuck coalgirls
aww is poor user's little hdd too small? Poor baby

Not 6, the only bad movie in the series.

muh grain

Just finished 3 and I thought it was pretty cool, starting to get a general sense of things even though some lines are pretty confusing and I still don't quite get why Ryougi saved her life?

Because Shiki is not a murderer

Shiki has a really, REALLY weird moral code. I don't even fully understand it. But Fujino only enjoyed pain and murder when she was in one of her pain-fueled psychotic episodes, so once it passed said moral code didn't really allow for Shiki to kill her.

>93% shiki lying in a bed
>93%
If only

It's been a while since I watched KnK but there's a brief flashback (forgot which movie it was in) where loli Shiki and her grandfather are discussing what it means to kill a person, that can sort of explain things

Because they were so similar and Shiki realised that if Fujino could live then so could she.

The 6 was also my last favorite.
It felt like a filler

>why Ryougi saved her life

That would be a spoiler. Just keep on watching, was surprised when I found out the truth as well.

Thing is, the novels actually had a point and explored an important point in Shiki's character, that being the lost memories and how to handle that loss of identity, the movie completely glossed over all that and generally butchered the book.

The remix adds some stuff to the 6 movie.

Also people don't realize but it's supposed to work as a bridge between 5 and 7, that are fairly long and exhausting.

Still doesn't add even close to half of what it removed.

That's what the retarded director wanted it to be and so we ended up with pointless filler that kills the pacing of the show. Instead of getting that final puzzle piece regarding her memories and the murders, setting the stage for episode 7 we get filler that feels like it came form a different show entirely.
