Is this his "I'm about to become a badass" face. Or am I just falsing believing that he'll become a cool character?

the've already done a pretty good job developing him and leaving room for more development

Shit is getting real

i just wanna know if he actually does become a edgy demon lord or if he just has some shitty 'dark' side to his personality

I'm pretty sure neither happen.

He's probably going to make a fool out of himself like 30 more times.

It's a "I'm mad as fuck" face

No, he's just mad.

The suffering isn't over. If you really think shit hit the fan in the last episode, then you're in for the wildest of rides.

Shit has not hit the fan yet.

Angry =/= Cool

In fact, his head is really hot by now

Is Subaru about to go Nuclear?

repost the spoilers

>tfw nuclear/Venom jokes don't mean much anymore because Venom never went nuclear or bad

nope, he's still weak but a bit smarter. he's becoming war hero. then full Sauron mode after Rem permanent coma

I wouldn't exactly call him a hero

its the "I'm done suffering, time to take control of my life" look.

what did he do to justify his suffering?

It's his muh revenge face.

We're arc 3 in a story with at least 20 arcs
Ride hasn't even begun

Do we know how many more books are planned, or how long it intends to go for?

I was about to get PISSED when the credits started rolling, like that was the last episode...

He's going to get his shit kicked in for another two episodes.

If anything, the last scene in this episode is meant to give you false hope.

>full sauron mode
What does that mean? He gets a badass mace? Loses his ring? Becomes an eye?

Is it true he lights Elsa on fire and burns her alive?

It's like this OP.

You know when something completely fucks you over and you get really, really mad and for a while you feel this burning, furious determination to get back at whatever screwed you, then eventually something happens that inevitably makes reality come crashing back down on you like a ton of bricks, crushing your hopes of revenge completely with how indomitably impossible to overcome it is?

This is like that. Reality is going to come give him a good bitch slap to remind him that he's not really that much of a badass. Really, really hard.

Luckily since he can revive infinitely Subaru DOES get Betelguese eventually though, it's just that it's kind of like the whole bashing his head against a brick wall until it crumbles type of deal.

He'll get Pucked over and over again.

This is his punishment for being a neet

"Cut the tongue off the person who licked his eyeballs" face

Can I just tell you how awesome this anime is, here it is; IT IS SO FUCKING AWESOME THAT IT'S BEYOND YOUR IMAGINATION!

Yeah, you got it right, I had to write it in caps because YOU CAN NOT COMPREHEND IT'S AWESOMENESS!!!

I'm actually done already, but there are some of you few out there who aren't convinced as of yet, because you don't have enough information, anything beyond this point is for you losers who aren't satisfied with a review that's two rows long, even though that's all you need.

To be fair, I wish every episode would've been ten minutes longer, because that would mean ten more minutes of awesomeness and each episode just flashes by in an instant any way.
This is a very manly anime, that is why it's totally badass and awesome!

This is an anime that have everything I ask for, it's tense, it's packed to the ceiling with intense moments, one after another, it's a non-stop flow of everything, everything is just amazing the conversations are amazing, and the soundtrack is totally fucking awesome, the story is impactful, there's constantly things happening, and you get everything explained as you go, the pacing is never weird and it just doesn't break.
While that might sound stressfull to watch, it's actually not, thought it is pulse raising, and you will probably be on edge from start to finish, I know I am, and that's an awesome feeling, you get an adrenaline rush from just watching, because it's so intense that you just want ot watch more and more and then, the episode just suddenly ends, and you're like "woah".

If you're only going to watch one thing from Q2 2016, then choose to watch Re:Zero, because you won't be dissatisfied with this, because it's too amazing to ignore!

see in you 3 days

Story(9): The story is quite simple but there's more to it. The MC is basically transported to a fantasy world and he meets many people on the way. The thing is that there are events occurring during that time that are fatal to him. What happens after the MC dies is him just coming back to life at some points of his story in that world(To make you understand is like as if he is respawning at some checkpoints he made in his progress in that world).

Art(9): The art is a feast to the eyes. All character designs are nice and really stand out. Their expressions are well made. Very enjoyable

Characters(9): The characters is another strong point of this anime but I need to see more as it is quite early to give a 10. The MC is a unique one and is rare to find one like him these days in an anime show. He is not one-sided and he is very interesting so far. The rest of the characters are also unique and I care for every one's screen time. There is development among them all with the MC and their interactions are always interesting

Enjoyment(10): For me it has the potential to be the best anime of the season. The travel back to time aspect is made that way that it doesn't get repetitive but for some people still may find it that way. This anime also has a dark atmosphere which is awesome and it fits to the story.

Overall(9): All I need is time. Time is needed for the character development and story development of the show. So far , so good. If the show progresses as smooth as it does now then it is a 10 by me

Update: So this show hasnt disappointed me since the first time i wrote this review, in fact the show got even better , those twists and character development is outstanding. The psychological aspect of the show is depicted perfectly and I cant see this screwing up , will update again
after 5-6 episodes or so. It gets its 10

NOBODY BURN MY WAIFU. I WILL FUKING MURDER SUBARU

That's a review on myanimelist, right?

Don't shit where you eat, idiots.

Some autist has been spamming it for the past hour or so. Probably some triggered mob psycho fan.

Yes, as usual people are butthurt about people liking a show they don't like, and so they decide to bring out the shit and poo in their own fucking lunchbox just to spite everyone.
"Hah, the smell of shit from my lunchbox will make them less hungry!"

It will go on until people start getting bored of it, then it will get canned and quickly wrap up with one last volume which resolves some loose ends unsatisfactorily and appeals to no one.

Someone also linked him to the thread, and he responded with pic related.

It's the "Oh no, something bad happened to the cute girl, now you're supposed to feel for Retard-kun." face.

There's nothing badass about this shitstain.

He can't become a badass in this world. He simply does not have the stats. And no, he's not going to pull some BS powers out of his ass. It's not that kind of story.

What the fuck was his problem?

Just because he's pissed doesn't mean he'll be able to do anything. I guess he's going to get fucked over a few more times.

...

I don't know, but he's entertaining, so I don't care.

>tfw episode 15 was 10/10 amazing
>tfw nobody irl to discuss it
>tfw Sup Forums shits up Re:Zero threads consistently

>not having a small private circlejerk to discuss anime with
How slothful.

...

Everyone was loving it on Sunday/Monday but it's been shitted up since thanks to there being 50 threads a day.

I feel you user

From Studio White Fox, who made certain time travel anime, now comes the anime, following the same "time travel" concept, but different theme

Based on LN with the same title, Re:Zero kara hajimeru isekai seikatsu follow a kid named Natsuki Barusu, i mean, Natsuki Subaru shopping at 7-11 then he suddenly came to a whole new world. Yep, fantasy world, where magic and other non sense things existed.
After saved by a cute half elf from thugs, Subaru return the favor by helping the girl searching her stollen insignia. In midway, they died. But, Subaru back in time. "Return by Death"

The story itself is so suddenly at the first episode, but the pace is actually slow, by i mean is Subaru is in the same place, same time for 3 or more episodes. But seeing Subaru desperately finding a way to change the mirai is pretty entertaining. The other entertaining value in this show are gore, scream, blood, cute girls, and loli (?)

The art itself is pretty good, georgeous, and you will making the girls in this show are your waifu. The animations are smooth. The magic thing are presented very good, too bad its not a magic-action show.

Meet Subaru, an annoying character and a NEET, who likes to help people (?). He's introducing himself in annoying way, he's talking in annoying way, but, i like when he get serious. Well, personally, i like to see annoying energetic character to get desperately serious ( like Okabe in s;g ). It's kind like, he get his lesson of life while the story progress. Yeah, nice development

Second, meet Emilia, the beautiful girl who fake her name in first episode as Satella. The most beautiful character in the series. My friends are fighting to claim Emilia as their own waifu ( well, me too ). Well, after first arc in first three episode, she doesnt get that much role. I'll be waiting.

>tfw only anime fan in my circle of friends
>tfw they constantly make fun of me for watching romcoms and shitty shows
Can't blame them to be h

You can't really blame us tbqh, this is the only anime airing that's worth discussing

Just pure anger.

I guess I'll go finish Flying Witch while the mods wake the fuck up.

>friend invites me to this group he frequently talks to
>none of these fucks actually seem to read manga or LNs so I can't discuss shit anyways

He will train until he becomes Reinhardt and go back in time to save himself from Elsa and Penguin of Sloth.

Does Subaru actually stab the fuck out of magical nergo for all the shit he put him through or is that a fake spoiler?
That would be pretty satisfying to watch but it sounds almost like that torture scene that turned out to be fake.

>uses "tfw"
>thinks he's a good poster

>in a group discussing all weeb shit from animu to doujins and regularly getting fucking drunk whilst marathoning something

I'm actually not enjoying this current arc, not because of its content, but because of how it's been executed so far
For starters, using a time recursion plot at all is tricky business, and to make it work you have to keep things moving or else you just end up retreading the same things over and over again. This hasn't been a huge issue for this series until recently, but this current arc has brought the pacing to a screeching halt. In the last three episodes, nearly nothing of consequence has happened, nor have we gleaned any new insight into how this world works with the selection thing. It seems like we're just spinning our wheels while Subaru acts like a weirdo and a bunch of goreporn flashes across the screen. Unfortunately none of that shit even matters because it all resets when Subaru dies, so it's consequence-free and almost totally unengaging
The other big thing that stuck in my craw is how heavy-handedly and on the nose the show is treating the new antagonist. The dude calls himself "archibishop of sin" and "sloth". Doing a weak and stupid seven deadly sins allegory can work, Se7en is a wonderful movie, but it's not allegory if you just spell it out at the onset. This is driven further home when the main antagonist, who has just kidnapped the main protagonist, calls him pride to his stupid face. This is horrifically poor storytelling because I can tell you exactly how this plot thread gets resolved later, and I'm a retarded animeonly faggot. What's going to happen is that Subaru is going to realize that he can't always save everyone all by himself and that he needs to take a step back and ask for help from the people around him, including the super badass knight who he happens to be chummy with. I can guarantee that's what's going to happen because the show practically punches you in the face with it, and it further removes the stakes
All in all, it's still okay, but I would be lying if I said I haven't had the show soured for me slightly

Did you watch after those red credits? He's revived again with rem

It starts basically as a generic Boy goes into an RPG. But it is so, SO much more. The characters are realistic. There is humor. There is also gore- it is not for the squeamish. The story is engaging. I guess a murder mystery would be the closest way to describe it. I have never enjoyed those, but my gosh- each and ever episode leaves you hooked, and indeed on a cliffhanger. Perhaps the best thing, however, are the characters.

The Main Character takes a little bit to get his power. This is understandable. However, he remains relate-able, for the most part, THE ENTIRE TIME. The Supporting Cast is all amazing. It's Episode Seven. They already have a fully fleshed out currency, a fleshed out backstory, a couple of fleshed out B plots, and a fleshed out setting.

The OP and ED are frequently skipped for MORE story. The animation is gorgeous but not the best. The VA's are INCREDIBLE.
Story-10

Enjoyment-10
Overall-10
I have only given one other anime a 10, and that was a 9.5 I rounded up, and before I found this place. This show is probably the only true 10/10 I've seen. It is simply amazing to me.

It feels like I'm reading a middle school english assignment.

That's just the face of a man filled with anger who wants revenge. Doesn't mean he will immediately become a badass because of it.

Oh look the inferior Okabe again....

Yes, that's why I said "about" to get pissed.
I immediately checked the time left, and knew there had to be something after-credits.
Still, what was that giant wolf thing?

He makes the guy look like roadkill by the end of it.
What torture scene? Rem?

It is Puck

>Still, what was that giant wolf thing?
Really?

I think that's Puck, judging by "Sleep now, with my daughter."

The little earring made me think the same thing.

I was really having fun, but this current 'serious' arc is just serving to make me cringe at Saburo being a total fuckwit.
Is he ever going to stop fucking up or what?

Rem's torture was different in the LN, the spoiler were just really exaggerating everything. In it, she gets her limbs torn off instead of twisted.

Both are equally horrifying to be honest.

How fucking dense can you be?

Read between the lines faggot.

How many layers of irony are you on right now

Seven.

How exactly was he supposed to do anything about it? I mean he's just a normal guy and Betelgeuse killed Rem like she was nothing.

If you're talking about the election arc where he goes full sperg, then yeah, but that's the point, it's supposed to show that he tries a little too hard for Emilia and puts her in a pedestal and he's going to learn to tone that shit down.

Best theme of this year

revenge face

>the only people people I know, who watch anime are either manime fags or shounen fags

Literally was just about to post this

I love this man

It's basically the same character.

He knows he has to protect this smile

get in here

>having friends
Why are you even here

I'm just mad that we won't have fan translations of the LN since jewpresss picked it up.

If only their translators were as good as their lawyers.

There's plenty of insane characters like him, i forgot the name but that mage from Fate zero also had a pretty similar behavior as far as i remember.

Stop trying to push a circlejerk faggot.

>tfw people think you're not a good poster

nobody made any mention of friends

I'm pretty sure this is like the 4th thread already

At least you have friends which you can watch some anime with. Count your blessings, user.

>not having weeb irl friends that recommend you good shit

is Betelguese supposed to be the final villian in this season?

He doesn't seem particular slothful.

>discussing anime anywhere outside Sup Forums
>letting in be known you watch anime
>not just privately enjoying it and not being a sperg
Kek

So how much suffering is in this show? Is there even anything else but suffering? Everytime I see a thread about this Show it's just the MC suffering.

This desu you don't have to be full weeb autist lord to enjoy anime

It's not just insanity, the whole way Betelgeuse acts and the strong DESU are practically identical.
I thought they were even the same VA for a bit.

Well the gimmick of the show is that when the MC dies (usually painfully), he restores from a savepoint (not of his choosing), so the suffering of others is less important, and it's more about how subaru copes with watching people he cares about dying horribly over and over again rather than the other characters themselves.

Man the ending scene was pretty baller, is this the pinacle of anime? Animekino?

I feel like if this was the goal they could have made the MC a more sympathetic character. He's absolutely unlikeable.
