Just received this paper from a 20 level English student.

Is he right fellow leafs?

2/3

3/3

>Is he right fellow leafs?
No
Count the number of assumptions, give each assumption a value of 2, times each assumption by the next and the number you arrive at is the lowest estimate you have that he's right.

Scandinavian countries rely on the US/NATO for their defence needs, which is the only reason they can afford programs like this

What the fuck are you even babbling about?

There's rarely any assumptions here, and even if there were how does the amount of assumptions multiplying each other determine the percentage that he is correct?

You're fucked eh?

>Not teaching your students how to property format citations

leaf educators everyone

>assumes people won't go lazy, stop working, and blow their freemonies on drugs/liquor
>doesn't state norway's high prison suicide rate
>thinks everyone will pay taxes to cover

You didn't even read the last paragraph did u dummy.

He states how it would be taken care of.
Why shouldn't natural resources be a government business?

Let's make good people by having the government pay for it :^)

You fucking degenerate.

These social services would be taken care of by the profits made from natural resource trade.

How does that equate to communism "what is mine is yours"

Please debate me on this.

>It's not enough that my schooling is provided free of charge; I should be paid to attend school

How the fuck can you be so entitled holy shit.

>Norway's natural resource is oil
>Canada's is maple syrup and snow

Paying people to be good doesn't make good people. Either you are or you arent. Doesn't matter where the money comes from taxes whatever

>resources will pay for it

Fucking kek the Canadian oil industry is dead, we can't even build a pipeline we're forced to sell it at a discount to the Americans so they can refine it and sell it back to use or to the international market for full price, all the major international oil companies left Canada because NOTHING can be accomplished due to insane regulations and special interest groups fucking everything up

>Canada can;t even build a fucking metal tube meanwhile china is building a skyscraper, coal power plant every day and doing mega projects like the three gorges damn and high speed rail

Canadians can't even build a fucking METAL TUBE to carry oil

Not a leaf, but I will weigh in...

>Where does the backbone of our nation lie? The youth

This assertion invalidates the rest of the paper. It can be easily proven that the labor backbone of a modern nation are the 30-55 age group, with the civic/political backbone being the 40-70 age group.

Within those groups, parents and children, and even grandparents through the grandchildren, hopefully within an intact family structure are the social/moral backbone of a nation. The religious are a subset of that group, not necessarily the arbiters of morality and values.

>an all-white population gives its children the potential to succeed
vs
>a nation being flooded with children of immigrants and shitskins gives free money to the parents of these children who know nothing about planning for the future nor the benefits of education

when will these dumb idealistic kids realize giving niggers money is a lost fucking cause
the only reason scandi socialism works is because they're all the same fucking race, culture, religion, and ethnic background

>how does the amount of assumptions multiplying each other determine the percentage that he is correct?
Because what's the chances his assumption is correct?
Is it one in two? Nah it's probably much higher, so one in two is a generous starting point.
Here are some examples of his assumptions from page one:
>these federal systems will UNDOUBTEDLY bring our Nation to growth and prosperity ( we aren't there already? and how would these systems conflict with already in place systems? Has that been accounted for in reaching the conclusion of "undoubtedly"?)
>Where does the backbone of our nation lie? The youth (Who's the youth, which age group? Define backbone. Have you taken ageing population that works longer into account?)
>Our youth decide everything (they don't)
>By adopting these reforms we can expect the exact same results (topkek)
>More ppl will be happy and live with passion (you know this how? what about the high suicide rates in those nations?)
>Ensure our nation is full of bright, passionate individuals (social engineering doesn't work)
>Our options will be unlimited (Am I reading sci fi?)
Now if I give each assumption a value of two we can see he has like a one in fifty chance of being correct. This is obviously not a precise calculation, it's simply meant to show how ridiculous certain proposals, which sound nice, are when considering the assumptions.

>what kinda pipeline u want
>the kind that doesn't even get built because quebec, natives, and ecoterrorists throw a hissy fit to halt progress and the general people complain about carbon emissions despite living in the most suburbanized highest energy use per capita country in the world driving 4 hours a day down the 401 to your $13/hr call center job wondering "where did all the high paying jobs go" when you could be making $45/hr building a pipeline but that would increase carbon emissions because that's what you're REALLY worried about living in a fucking gasoline fueled suburban clusterfuck driving 4 hours a day down the 18 lane 401 surrounded by mcmansions, smog, and power lines

lmao @ canadians

Ding him for stealing ideas from Robert Anton Wilson.

> references Scandinavian country
Stopped reading right there. I don't even bother debating people who pull this. They have so much to learn and I don't have the time nor would they listen

>Numbers in numeral and not written form
>Abbreviated currencies
>Numbers and statistics with no source attached
>Not following any obvious formatting
>Obvious transitions every other sentence
>Non peer-reviewed websites as sources
>Sources on a page with written content
>Fucking quadruple space between paragraphs

This shit would be a 5/10 paper in any competent high school. Any college professor beyond the remedial level would fail this student without a thought.

Literal D- for effort, and that's without even addressing the content of his paper.

holy shit this writing is awful

>By ensuring that our nation is full of bright, passionate individuals with a concrete education; our technological and societal advances are unlimited in potential.
