A NIGHT SKY FULL OF CRIES

Hahaha yep

now I understand why he ended up with Yin.

I didn't watch DtB but I know there isn't a season 2. Stop rusing us user

damn you got me
check out these sick mockups I did though

Hei is my favourite anime character.
His futility, passion, and mortality are very charming .

I actually preferred S2 to S1, but like you I haven't watched it in years. Maybe I'll also hate it if I rewatch it.

I dunno if I'd say I hate it but it definetly triggered me hard when I rewatched it. Its worth one watch-through if you liked S1 but its nothing great and ruins Hei a bit.
I think when I watched it I just ate any anime I watched up and had low standards which is why I didnt think much of it afterwards.

I don't even care about how different it was from S1. I'm upset about the horrible ending.

The gaiden episodes are fine, and that one manga, Jet Black Flower is good too. I just think of that as S2.

ugh i need to rewatch season 1
so damn enjoyable

I found S2 to be a lot more enjoyable since it was more action packed and a lot more fast paced compared to S1.

I don't recall them making a S2. You must be imagining things.

I can barely slog thru the boring s1
Love s2

After all the threads I still don't get why some people don't love it. Great plot, best girls and some of my favorite pacing in any anime ever.

The first season was shit too, I have no idea why anyone would bother with a second.

I liked it alright. Most of my issues with it was mostly cause the ending was really weird and it could have benefited from a few more episodes to really nail down the ending.

You can stop now, its pretty obvious

Are you retarded? One of those three posts didn't even watch S2, the others were praising it.

That's more of a compliment than anything else, really, that it should've been longer. Yeah, the last episode was rushed.

To expand, besides much more interesting and brutal fights compared to s1, I really think they outdid themselves. The first series with its jazzy music and the whole production including episodic content with little continuity and the vibe of "cerebral but fun anime for grown up weebs" - they all push for comparisons with Cowboy Bebob. Except with dull and extremely cliched characters and not enough content for two episodes but a lack of skill to cram everything into one. It's an inferior knockoff.

Season 2, on the other hand finally made Hei an interesting character and filled the cast with interesting characters. They successfully made a tranny into a tragic character for fuck's sake.
But as I said before, the pacing was briliant. The whole anime had a continuous storyarc, but that didn't stop them from introducing characters and then sending them away forever by finishing their story or killing them off in the same episode, like that Russian dude on a train. And in the same ep as with him, we got flashbacks to Tanya and Suou's childhood which was used to conclude her arc and further Suou. All of that successfully in the span of 20 minutes where other things happen. And they made it work. It doesn't feel disjointed and the whole episode feels like a perfect package wherein everything is self contained. That's amazing. To juggle so much characters and freshly introduced concepts and execute them within one episode is something rare. You could say season 2 was a more successful Bebop copy than the first, too for this reason.

I rewatched the second series four times, each time expecting to finally achieve enlightenment as to how it's bad, but each time very little changed. The last ep was a bit rushed and some loli jokes felt forced. That's it.

...

...

not a happy chappy

He's not much without her

i would argue with you but hei acting like an angry bitch for 4 episodes made me drop it ROFL

Hei bitchslaping lolis before romancing them is best Hei

Bitch gotta learn how to shoot

NOW I'VE LOST IT

Do it right!

I think I would agree that it had better directing, but the story itself was too weird and out there. Like why is magical sniper girl pull shit out of her chest? Why did they like create a second clone of the moon or something? That's what most people dislike about it.

Well, everything else in the world was pretty much freaky shit, a girl pulling a rifle outta her chest isn't that surprising

topkek

s2 was actually good, until that horrifyingly stupid ending. s1 was great. so when is s3 happening?

>there are people who don't like Suou
Faggots, the lot of you.

>little continuity and the vibe of "cerebral but fun anime for grown up weebs" - they all push for comparisons with Cowboy Bebob. Except with dull and extremely cliched characters and not enough content for two episodes but a lack of skill to cram everything into one. It's an inferior knockoff.
You best have some actual subtance behind those claims. It had much more continuity than you give credit for, like the recurring characters, and you can see the characters developing throughout the whole show. Not to mention the final plot with EPR and November's group during the second half of the show.
Bebop was more adventure and bounty hunter-like anyway, the comparison isnt really there besides having 2-part episodic arcs I guess? And you write the characters out to be so one-dimensional, what are you talking about?

S1 had the charm of one setting featuring recurring characters and short but numerous story arcs. I'm not sure what the production was like, but it felt like they were just going along from arc to arc with little regard for what happened next. Some stories were a perfect fit for that format, others not so much, but it did make a pretty comfy and enjoyable show, comparisons notwithstanding.

S2, on the other hand, felt like they took one potential story arc and put it into thirteen (twelve?) episodes rather than the usual two. Moreover, they added some tinier story arcs with its own subplots and characters into that, mostly brought by the change in setting. It made the whole thing much more cohesive, but my biggest letdown was the ending. It was so fucked it felt like I was watching the last episode of Evangelion instead.

Should've made another episode or something to pan that shit out because the end itself felt forced.

He works himself out of that though

Suou telling him to stop drinking was one of the more heartwarming parts of the entire series

>that left in in-between

Jesus that's noticeable as fuck

Gemini was good for the most part. The dreadlock kid and the confusing ending are the only really terrible things i remember from it.

Amber was cute, shame she got de-exist'd

While I didn't enjoy S2 for the most part for ruining Hei, I do think it features the best moment + song out of the whole series in this scene

Still can't believe they added a sailor moon transformation scene in a REAL DEAL anime

I liked it
I could finally identify with Hei when he was a drunk useless shit

Fuck off tard.

Yeah I know
Double checked the episode too, its definetly there, at leat for Coalgirls bluray rip
