Just got finished watching this. So was this guy a god or was he bullshiting? And if he wasn't, then how did the time rewinds happen

>time rewind
No such thing happened.

He is Satella
>how did the time rewinds happen

MC dies off screen every episode

No thread without ED
youtube.com/watch?v=-IcFDwygw-o

this show definitely has one of the greatest EDs of all time

the OP took a while to grow on me but it's one of my favorites now too

He certainly was the master, if nothing else.

He wasn't a god and there were no time rewinds. Every episode just showed a different possibility MC's life could have went because he always wished he could have done something different and have a better life.

how about all the meta comments that they made? Like the scene at the end of one of the episodes where they said something like "so who is that guy anyways" (referring to Ozu) and when Hanuki wouldn't tell, they made some comment like "man, no one tells me anything

this show was bonkers man

Bullshitting. He had some great charisma. No time rewind ever happened. It was a case of alternate universes.

The author wrote Uchouten Kazoku as well right? Is there any chance of season two of that ever happening?

Is there any canon on what actually is going on with the rewinds? I always thought it was he was a god and then was depicted as a student from thereon, when he allowed him the possibility to try all these different universes

You're overplaying the importance of that guy's role. Well, at least I think you likely are. Your theory isn't completely baseless.

They aren't rewinds, but the tatami galaxy is just all of the different possible lives he could have had opening up to him when he decided to go hikki mode.

Yakushimaru is peerless.

>Watch the first episode
>dialogue goes too fast
>guy calls himself kami
>think he's a god throughout the series
>re-watch first episode after getting used to the speed
>actually calls himself something else
>turns out the joke was that the MC thought he said Kami after he repeated it turns out it wasn't

If there's one character who is suspicious concerning the paranormal stuff that happens with the multiple versions of the MC's life sometimes crossing with each other, it's the fortune teller.

She knows.
But she's the only one who does.

the only difference of these different choices are the MC's actions themselves

so the characters stay the same. The master that talked to the MC the first episode is still the one that participated in the prank wars and the one that one girl wanted to fuck.

Is the entire show that sort of pace?
I've watched the first episode and while it wasn't impossible to keep up with things it did feel a little tiring.

I think that's the most interesting part of the show really, we get character development just because we get to see different sides of the other people depending on how close MC got to them in a given version of his life.

dunno if it slowed down or I just gotten used to the pacing (mostly due of the groundhog's day repetition)

but it gets easier to follow as the series went on

>that final episode inversion

This is a bad, pretentious anime. Bakemonogatari is a much better anime.

water is wet

Except it's not
it makes things wet

For your hard work. (you)

Ore Monogatari is a better anime than Bakemonogatari.

Endless Eight the Show.

Post your 4.5 webms

...

Endless eight done right: the show

Who cares about canon explanations? That's not the point of the show at all.

Check my 8.

I'd vastly prefer this without the vocals.

So listless and lifeless, she did far better for Penguindrum.

youtube.com/watch?v=fnehGxflpj0

same as this guy desu thought it was way too fast the first episode, put it off for a while, got around to watching the whole series and didn't even notice it by the halfway point of the show

>endless eight
>two fifty eights

>All this people that couldn't read fast enough
It's fine I guess. Some people's brain work at other speed, there's no need for me to be rude about it.
Final episode had some great visuals.

>Some people's brain work at other speed, there's no need for me to be rude about it.
Or it's not about brain speed, but instead about the fact that subs aren't always in a person's native language.

>Some people's brain work at other speed, there's no need for me to be rude about it.

underrated post

>god
its like playing homage to groundhog day´s the bartender

This. Time would only "rewind" for the viewer.

It's a multiverse.

Why would anything nice ever happen?

I guess not.

This show literally makes no sense and is boring.

>Uchouten Kazoku
Is this any good? Should I see it?
Did you know that she's based in a real old lady that does her voodoo shit in the same city?

>Is this any good?
Nigga, you don't even know what you are missing.

This anime had some really good looking backgrounds.
Also I like how Kumeta referenced his work on this in his current manga.

Pretty.

Thanks you guys. Never heard of it. Just added it to my queue.

Kyoto is always a really nice setting.

That looks great, I'll check it out ASAP.

The writing is as good as the art, glad more people are picking it up.

>Bakemonogatari is a much better anime.

But they're both great.

Uchoten is a dull drama. Nothing impressive about its narrative or thematic execution. No one give a fuck about it for a reason.

>No one give a fuck about it for a reason
The same can be said about Tatami Galaxy.
Also, popular != good.

youtube.com/watch?v=kIyXupS88PU

One of the best episodes.

aside from the ending episodes this one was the best

> hulu
> funimation
> people that are curious whether others think they would want to continue after first episode

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

There's no need to be a retard here.

calm your tits user

Every time I watch the show it means more to me. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I guess I never had and never will have a rose colored campus life.

>tfw have one more year left for my rose colored campus life and have to make the most of it
the best we can do is learn from this show and take what we can get

Enjoying the life you have and not wishing for a perfect, rose coloured one is the whole point of the show though.

OP>ED

this

Translation for the novels never.

OP=ED

I can't be the only one seeing the penis shape made by MC's foot at the back of Akashi's neck.

Yeah, I think this is why it resonates with me and why I find it so rewatchable. Its a very positive message.
