Money laundering.

Disciplined advantage player.

>How?
MONEY LAUNDERING.
come on you fucking simps. this is obvious.

"Casino winnings" are just money laundering. He was an illegal arms dealer.

>How?
Mathematics, like duh obviously.

Shills right on cue!

$5 mil in Sushi dealing

The secret is in the sushi

That’s not inconceivable if you’re ballsy enough to throw that kind of money around.

I make $200-300 a week betting on college and pro football but I’m too much of a pussy to throw down anymore than a hundred on a game. If you’re able to calculate odds in your head reliably then you can make plenty on video poker. It’s all I play when I go to Vegas. The bring you free drinks. Again, I’m too much of a pussy to play anymore than $0.25/0.50 draws. But I’ve seen fuckers play $500 a hand like it was nothing. I have no doubt that others play way more than that.

But don't casinos take steps to blacklist patrons who exploit algorithms?

wtf does comp mean now

Every game a casino has comes out way in their favor. You either get lucky, or you are involved in some black market shit and get cash that you spend at a Casino on bets that break even, then cash out so it looks like you won.

Casinos are a place for shady business. They could track every win and lose at every machine and table. but they don't. They use systems that can specifically turn huge amounts of cash into income with total plausible deniability.

This basically confirms that he was selling weapons. He was already suspected of it for several other reasons.

Yes. You are a pussy.

try not working at Taco Bell

This, Hotel higher-ups looked the other way while they let him do arms deals in the comped rooms and cleaned the money in return for a percentage.

you could still win a few mil before that.

pretty unlikely though.

Because he was using the Casino as a way to launder money for the FBI.

Compensated. Watch the interview with Stephen's brother Eric. It's a huge meme on Sup Forums right now, so don't miss it!

Reselling comped sushi

still doing it in AC

there are people out there that can play poker like no others
they can read their opponents, they can look at the cards and just know what to do, they don't really approach it as fun, they see it like war and the overall victory is more important than winning individual hands

Steve was brilliant, he could have done anything he wanted... AND HE DID! He did it mathematically.

>video poker
You lose 2% per play on average if you play it absolutely perfect. Sports betting and live poker can be profitable. I played poker for about 2 months straight as an experiment to see if I could make good money off of it. Averaged $3.5 an hour. It's something only VERY smart people can do for a living

Mhh not convinced

He was an accountant. He probably laundered money by gambling.

ARMY OF ONE

DIDN'T HAVE MANY FRIENDS

So since he's laundering his money by gambling we know he isn't part of a crime organization. If he was he would launder the money with a front. You need more then one person to run a business like that. It would be very expensive to launder it by gambling, so I assume he actually made closer to $10mm a year. In order for a guy to make that kind of cash by himself per year. He would need to be very good at whatever it was he did. Yet he flipped out and killed a crowd of people. We know he wasn't being investigated at all, so he snap from fearing jail. Why'd he do it?

Made smart choices with his money, like the all-new 2017 Hyundai Tucson. Starting at $22,700 with best-in-class features and generous cargo room (even for extra-tall passengers), it's not hard to see why his money piled up quickly.

doesn't really matter now does it?

Yep...this^

He didn't

top lel

Oh, would you look at that. RCMP probe found money laundering in British Columbia's casinos was used to finance terrorism. CRAZY, right?

That article is from two days ago. MGM (which owns the Mandalay in LV) owns the Grand Mirage in BC.

I know that

Small, calculated risks baby. Not enough to quit my day job but being a pussy bets me $10-15k extra a year. All I have to do is monitor the lines and place a few bets extra a week.

Fuck off. It's obvious as fuck.

He was selling the sushi that he was being comped.

"Wow, this Stephen Paddock guy is just winning so much. We're losing so much money, he's making millions a year off of us! We better comp him all the time so we can make it even easier for him to make money off of us." - Las Vegas casinos

BULLSHIT.

The real secret is using a credit card with cash back rewards.

Play a game that pays out 98.5%, get a card with 2% cash back, gamble 1 million, pocket $5000.

It only works with MASSIVE credit limits (like a millionaire would have) who has access to top tier cards plebs are never offered.

He said he played fucking video poker.
there is no card counting in video poker

Nah, you wouldn't even win 50k.

He was an arms dealer who laundered his money by declaring his earnings as gambling winnings.

He'd take large shipments of guns to casino hotels, meet with his clients there to close the deal, and leave a few days later with the money. When people asked where the money came from, he'd say he won it gambling.

This time he met with ISIS extremists, who killed him and used the guns to commit an act of terrorism, then set it up to look like he went postal.

Can I get approved with a taco bell salary?

What returns can you get at casinos

Can anyone explain how it works?

Take $10,000 dirty money play slots with it or craps what?

Then winnings go in your bank account after paying tax?

This. There is a pretty steady percentage win on video poker, though. If you sit at a machine and stuff money into it, you can expect to win a certain percentage over time. Perfect game to launder money.

Well, shit....

This is actually the most likely and reasonably sounding answer.
This was the first go to theory until the bad kind of autists came to pol.

Is that 5 million won or 5 million won above his bets?

Who could have broken even for all we know.

if he wanted 5 mil, he'd get it.

>This. There is a pretty steady percentage win on video poker, though. If you sit at a machine and stuff money into it, you can expect to win a certain percentage over time. Perfect game to launder money.

No. You are expected to lose about 2% to the house. It's still a win because you laundered money.

This would make for a great mystery/thriller.

It's designed so that it's statistically impossible to win (i.e. you can win once and then quit, but the guy next to you has "funded" your win by losing all night. The average is typically ~2-3% house edge). The nature of the skew depends on the game: roulette has the 0 (and optionally 00), which gives you less than 50% chance to win even if you bet on color or on even/odd (the highest statistical win rate). For poker, there's usually a so-called rake. Etc.

Not craps. Craps is a game of chance, there are odds, but even the best of odds can fuck you. You'd play the machines. The algo's on the machines are set to pay a certain percentage on money played. You just sit there and shove money in and the record you winnings as income. Ofcourse you are going to lose some money, but that's better than losing it all because it's dirty and you can't spend it.

That's what he's saying: statistically you expect to lose almost exactly 2% of what you're laundering, as opposed to widely varying.

they give you cash and an IRS slip
i guess if it 50k+ they write you a check
also you can open an account with the casino
the casino doesnt give a shit if its dirty money

if you habent seen Hell or High Water yet, you really should.

.. what the hell is the matter with you?

That's what I'm saying. If you shove 100k into a video poker machine over a couple hours, you aren't going to lose 100k. Your losses are just an expense, a money laundering expense, and you could calculate fairly accurately what your losses were going to be.

Fucking paid killer

>yfw he was Roberto Calvi 2.0
>yfw he was shot through the mouth because that's where informants are always shot

I rest my case.

>Not everyone is a Taco Bell nigger

Maybe those old gambling machines come equipped with better odds and MK Ultra

No. You are not guaranteed to win a certain amount. You are guaranteed to lose less than a certain amount.

He was probably card counting or doing some other mathmatical shit and the casino owners were getting sick of him so they framed him and killed him making it look like a suicide.

retard

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
NOT EVERYONE IS ON WELFARE AND HAS TO BUY SUSHI AT PUBLIX.
STEVE WOULD NEVER EAT THAT WELFARE MEAT THEY SERVE AT TACO BELL.

$100 GRAND IS NOT ALOT OF MONEY.
$100 IS NOTHING.

MY DAD ROBBED BANKS WITH A MACHINE GUN AND YOU WONDER WHY MOM DOESN'T LIKE GUNS!?

GOING TO PUBLIX FOR YOU IS WHAT IT WAS LIKE FOR STEVE TO GO TO JAPAN AND GET $1000 SUSHI.
COMPED.

MY DAD ROBBED BANKS WITH A MACHINEGUN
AND YOU WONDER WHY MOTHER DOESN'T LIKE GUNS?!??

...

>The New York Times reported earlier this week that Paddock was not well known among Las Vegas's high stakes gambling crowd, though he would occasionally make tens of thousands of dollars in a single sitting. Because of his prolific gambling, Paddock was staying at the Mandalay Bay Hotel free of charge last weekend, The Times reported, citing a source familiar with Paddock's history.

Don't casinos like frequent gamblers because they make money off of them, and not vice versa? So if he was taking millions from their pockets, why are they encouraging him to stay?

The house always wins.

safe food eat pussy

You fucking idiot.

No one will entertain he theory that he had been a hitman for years and that's how he made his money, had weapons, and travelled and owned property all over USA?

I will give you real answer.

> Learn how to play video poker perfectly

> Start out with .25 machines

> Only play video poker machines with progressive payouts well above $4,000

> Do not touch machines with progressive royal flushes payouts at $4,000 or under

> Scale this strategy up and look for machines that are in your favor.

> When you hit Royal Flush, stop playing the machine immediately and look for new machine

This is a +EV strategy... some call it "Advantage play"

You are the retard.

> Muh guaranteed win.

When you gamble you lose. The house wins.

Money laundering still,
Thousands in fucking sushi COMPED.
FUCK OFF.

>implying thats net profit not just winnings.

>play a high ROI game (video poker)
>7 million of dirty money goes in
>5 million of clean money comes out

I'm retarded can someone explain this? Alex Jones gave the example of someone giving the casino 100k in exchange for 60-70k dollars. Why would someone do that tho?

You taco bell fags will never learn.
He was an accountant, an auditor. He learned the odds, then he beat the odds. That's why he got comped, and you didn't

Are you sure you're not secretly american? It would explain your clinical retardation if you were. But then again your ahmed genes are also a likely reason for it.

Sir Comped A Lot

To follow up.. here are the charts to play video poker perfectly

videopokerballer.com/strategy/

YOU CAN'T WIN LONG TERM WITH VIDEO POKER UNLESS YOU'RE ALTERING THE ALGO WITH A DEVICE WHICH THEY WOULD'VE CAUGHT HIM

You can always check the security recordings from the Casino's 2000 cameras. Oh wait, for 2 hours the security system malfunctioned and nothing was recorded.

Always

>Boss, this guy won a bunch of money
>Fuck him, take 30 guns to his room and try and drive as many possible customers away from our hotel and the surrounding area as possible
>You sure boss? I don't think that
>DO I FUCKING PAY YOU TO THINK?!

Retard.

>look for machines that are in your favor.
wow thats the secret? whoa dont tell anyone else man, this is like some sort of life hack

The casino meme is just a perfect way to ecplain whete he got money from, when in fact it was payment for secret opetations.

Think
About
It

Everything fits with the following theory:
>Steve is an arms dealer.
>Terrorist flip gf arranged huge deal with ISIS connections.
>Unbeknownst to Steve, this was actually a set-up to commit a terrorist act.
>Flip gf arranges "transaction" to take place in hotel room overlooking concert.
>Vegas hotels have no cameras in hallways on each floor (look it up, most likely it is because they know heaps of their clients are scum who don't wanna be filmed doing whatever it is they are doing, so they only keep data on which floors people visit, not who they visit on each floor).
>Steve wires 100k to flip gf as payment for setting up the deal.
>ISIS connections book room on the same floor.
>Steve brings up the guns for display - for 300k, you get these guns + ammo + explosives in my car + more guns later in my house.
>ISIS terrorists kill steve up close, making it look like a suicide.
>Smash out window with hammer they brought.
>Use Steve's guns + ammo to commit terror act.
>Security guard comes up
>Shoot him through the door using cameras that either Steve put there or you put there.
>Security retreats.
>Slip back to your room and act like nothing happened.
>Eventually SWAT arrives and finds Steve dead.
>Case closed, insane rich old white guy.
Steve was an arms dealer who frequently washed his money in Vegas.

This explains the following details:
>Why there were so many fucking guns in the room.
>Where all Steve's money came from.
>Why Steve wore thick gloves.
>Why Steve wore slippers.
>Why Steve pushed those 2 chairs together like that (makeshift gun display).

On cloudy details are why ISIS didn't do something to take more credit, if this is really what happened. It could be that this was a test-trial for them, and since it went off so successfully, they plan to do more in the future.

Lol

You people are just too stupid to know the difference between winning and losing.

When you put $100 in a slot machine with a 2% house bias, then you are nit "winning" $98. You are losing $2. Get that in your head. It's still a win though because your money is now laundered.

Casinos keep track of winnings though. They would know who he is.

Yeah its pretty well known among advantage players

that's why articles about this guy say that he was very particular about the machines he would play.

if the jackpot is below a certain amount, it is not in your favor to play them.

Fineland flag you should go to sleep - not because your analysis is wrong, but because it's like 5 in the morning for you

comp refers to freebies provided by the casino.

Often times you will get comped rooms if you are a frequent guest. I used to get free rooms at the golden nugget in AC and from time to time I'd get restaurant coupons for free meals.

say you make 100k dealing drugs...you can't just take it to the bank as unreported income because you'll get audited. instead you take the cash to a casino to buy in, use it all, keep winnings aside, and cash out. then you can legally claim the winnings to the IRS and put it in the bank as taxable income. 100k in cash you can't use aside from going to the grocery store is worse than 70k you can buy a car with.
