I watched Koutetsujou no Kabaneri because of this single image, what a disappointment it turned out to be.
Started out fine, but man oh man does nothing ruin a anime faster than a shitty antagonist, well aside from a shitty protagonist. But Ikoma wasnt terrible, in fact all the characters were pretty bland.

I heard the show was just dumb zombie fighting action that becomes a trainwreck later on so I watched it with that in mind and enjoyed it. It was probably the best show of that season. Also to get the inevitable AoT comparisons out of the way, sure the second half had a lot of dumb thing happen, but at least things happened, and that makes it better than most of the second cour of Titan.
The only real things that bugged me were the pointless energy blasts that had no reason to be there and accomplished nothing and why he never bothered to try to rebuild his noose machine to give people a choice other than suicide.
