Does Sup Forums still hate SAO?

Does Sup Forums still hate SAO?

It's not like it's gotten any better.

>inhales
>snorts
>clears throat
>scratches balls
>tips fedora
>faps to hentai
>reaches keyboard without cleaning

yes, it's still shit

Fact: SAO is better than all those moeshit shows Sup Forums worships

yes

>SAO is better than all those moeshit shows Sup Forums worships

Kek

I hate what the MC's design does to my dick.

No matter how much you polish or leave it be, a turd is still a turd.

I don't get the hate really. It's not great but it's not shit either. Just a pretty average anime that happened to get popular so neckbeards felt like they must be contrarian as always and shit on it

Thanks Sup Forums.

What is he even up to in the LN now?

>I don't agree with him so that means he's baiting

Based moecuck logic

>Cyberpunk
>Traps

Phantom Bullet was the only good thing about SAO

Its garbage. Only normalfags teenagers enjoy this crap.

LN need to fuck off and die already.

The fairy arc. There's no defending that.

That, and Asuna NTR hentai

I never hated it. SAO isn't a masterpiece, but it's enjoyable and pretty good.

>but it's enjoyable and pretty good.

Deal with it, secondary.

I think the fairy arc definitely made people go from disliking it to hating it. Obviously the rest of the show isn't that great but it was tolerable, for me at least.

Haters gonna hate. I, for one, still love SAO.

They have plot that doesn´t have holes. They have actual character development. I hate moe blob shows, but they are miles better than SAO.

Because plot holes, shitty characters, and constant ass pulls are apparently ok. Kys

B-but didn't you watch Digibro's video? You're supposed to hate it! R-REEE! Watch my favorite pedo moeshit instead!

To be fair, it's much easier to have a plot make sense when the show is just about 4 girls doing nothing.

If your a 14 y/o wannabe deep edgelord than maybe.

>SAO is a videogame
All the characters in SAO do nothing.

Not enough porn of trap Kirito.
And some god tier doujin went unscanned.

That doesn´t excuse the fact that SAO´s plot is shit.

its hated BECAUSE its mediocre.

SAO: It was okay
Fairy Shit: it was okay, big butt sister was cute but the plot was dumb
Guns: stupid as hell but enjoyable. Loved the detatched limbs.
Excalibur: Thor was fun.
Mothers Rosario: Today on a very special Sword Art Online... fucking aids?

They had to kill her with AIDS. Can't have anyone better than Kirito in the story and let them live.

>bunch of girls doing nothing
>plot
>character development

Has someone seen my sides? I cant seem to find them

fuk u, kirito my hero

...

F*ck u 2, k-on is kawai desu best show

kirito gay lol

...

>y-you just don't like the adaptation, the source material is good I SWEAR

Posting pepe is no better than what you're replying to.

Does only liking the hentai mean I hate it?

>I don't get the hate really. It's not great but it's not shit either.

with me i was expecting something great and just got average. i gave up at the end of season 1.

for that reason i give it a rating of meh

yea

still better than 95% of other shounen

When compared to all the utter garbage that came in its wake, in retrospect it wasn't that bad.

The Mother's Rosario arc could've been good since it was actually focusing on a game with minimal real life shit, and if by
>living in the game
meant being addicted to it instead of them having AIDS and dying.

Yeah. Surprising, a shit show doesn't get less shitty over time.

Sup Forums can't hate SAO because hating SAO is exactly opposite of what Sup Forums stands for. Hating pretentious elitism and SJW whining.
SAO is the best wish-fulfillment harem out there and that's a good thing.

Considering they like Re:SAO, probably.

All the Re:Zerofags hate SAO because Kirito is flawless unlike their god Subaru and not enough suffering melodrama.

>SAO is the best wish-fulfillment harem out there
But it isn't.

he is.

Yes it is.

Guess I'll say it

The GGO arc was decent

But it really isn't.

Give me the reason why it is not?

The worst thing that can happen with any physical or intangible thing is have potential but use it. A tragedy.
The show got its appeal as a death game and before the arc ends the story tells you no one is gonna die now that Kirito's a super hacker

>story is average
>girls are poor
>main harem girl is ok
>not enough fighting over mc to make it actually wish fulfilment tier.

It is barely a harem, it's a shitty romance with a few orbiters.

Its funny to see people shitting on SAO while defending Re:Zero.

>SAO
Good, interesting and somewhat original idea, 8/10
>Fairy arc
Removed permadeath and combo it with worst villain I've ever seen. 2/10 made me want to drop the show
>GGO
A bit silly, I don't like girls with glasses and trap-Kirito was gay. Don't really get why Death Gun dudes couldn't just kill normally but wanted to go through extra effort. 5/10
>Excalibur
Fun little detour but I barely consider it a proper arc. I like Norse mythology though so 5/10
>Mother's Rosario
Actually pretty sad arc, really made me think. 7/10

I can't decide what's worse, the show or its casual-as-fuck fanbase.

>Story doesn't matter. The setting is interesting enough. Animation is amazing unlike 99% harem.
>All the girls have gorgeous design.
>Not fighting over MC means there's a silent agreement to share him.
>MC is already op and confident enough. The girls highly respect and not physically abuse him unlike 99% harem.

So you haven't seen dxd is what you're saying?

But the girls aren't sharing him. Asuna gets everything, she makes his food, shares his bed and gets glopped full of his two years worth. The rest of them are just waiting for her to drop so they can jump in. A true harem MC wakes up covered in his harem because they fight over who gets his bed.

>.Hackfags

>dxd mc is not op, beta enough to die once and pervert. Kirito isn't and he can beat op enemies easily.
>Are you really comparing SAO's animation with dxd?
>dxd girls are overly horny. While SAO girls are pure waifu material and behave well enough to seem more respectable.

>.Hackfags
I wish, boy do I wish. .Hack was my jam, and Mimiru was the beat grill

Wow at this being a thing.

>While SAO girls are pure waifu material and behave well enough to seem more respectable.

You mean weak willed women who are too afraid to go for what they want. Such women aren't even best girl material let alone waifu.

ok thing about SAO is that at the beginning it had a pretty good idea, correct me if I'm wrong but SAO started the "anime inside videogame" genre, or at least it made it popular, anyways, as I said it had a good idea, bunch of nerds get trapped inside this world that forces them to either fight for their freedom or die, or the third option and become like an npc. It was cool the characters weren't that interesting, kirito was like this mega edgelord but whatever he wasn't unlikeable, also the fact that his guild being massacred scarred him for life was a cool feature, then we get the asuna x kirito shit, that wasn't bad and honestly it pumped the story a little bit, cause it gave kirito a reason to fight for, more or less, anyways until this point, the series is really cool, watching Kirito and Asuna become like a happy family was cute too, less action but w/e, I hated yui, with all my fucking heart, I wished for her death, it happened but then deus ex machina hits there, and apparently this 14 year old kid knows how to hack, enter the source code recode it and create some bullshit ass item that kept yui alive? Fuck you, I can accept that apparently this guy has the strongest reflexes in the game cause he's the mc whatever it's humanly possible for that to happen, but by no means can you do that shit in seconds and inside the game, but yet again I can forgive that, I can ignore that stupid ass shit cause authors sometimes pull shit out of their asses and it happens I guess, but the point where it just became unbearable to me was floor 75 or whatever, idgaf, that shit was bullshit, that was so fucking stupid why do that? why reveal the final boss there? Like sure great fucking twist but common there was so much potential wasted there, if they were fucking getting massacred on that lvl imagine what was the boss of lvl 80, 85, 90, it would have been so great to see key characters perish, even the guild master dying would've been cool as hell
cont.

Cause say, he dies there, then he reappers on the 100 lvl revealing all of that shit (he's the bad guy etc) and then epic boss fight, asuna dies, it would've been great and then end the series right there, but no, it happened prematurely, it sucked ass, and the we get alo which I'm not gonna talk about how shit it is, and afterwards ggo and then I stopped watching cause it was too garbage, SAO wasn't always bad but by god did it become a piece of generic garbage. That's it, it's not hate, it's just accepting the fact that it's garbage.

>Butt hurt that Asuna failed as perfect waifu

post cute kiritos

I want to fuck Kirito!

Tiese and ronye make better waifus than any other female presented thus far.

Haters gonna hate

I love it.

>>Other girls are in good term with Asuna. She doesn't seem to mind or even get jealous when Kirito share intimate moments with them.
>>Suguha also makes his food. He lives with Suguha not Asuna. Come on man.
>>Fighting over MC is worst because that's calling for physical abusing. Not good for sharing and caring.
A true harem MC wakes up covered in his harem because they fight over who gets his bed.
>>You will find that only in hentai not in your regular animu.

Happy 13th Birthday

Why is Kirito dressed as Ben 10?

Because it's his 10th birthday here.

>You mean weak willed women who are too afraid to go for what they want.
Waifu can be more than strong willed yandere.

>also the fact that his guild being massacred scarred him for life was a cool feature
Yea, no. That's what grounded him as a Garry Stu shitter in my eyes.

How many vr mmos with player traps can there be?

1) poor story structure for the first arc (the part most people think is the best is also the worst for story structure)
-the first arc was written in a hurry for a contest, the ideas not fleshed out or even considered deeply by the author, leading to inconsistencies
-they fluffed the first arc with sidestories written as an addendum to the first arc by the author after the fact. those short stories have no narrative tie in to the main story of the first act

2) arc 2 was poor fanfic style nonsense

3) arc 3 spent 1/3 of the 12 episodes in a cafe/bar doing exposition. pure fluff to fill space. some of the worst direction i've ever seen in an anime. Arc3 also had no narrative theme whatsoever; and people seemed to like it for sniper girl's ass (delicious) and kirito's trap mode. talk about shallow

4) arc 4(?) sidestory about getting more OP gear for kirito-god, just dull shit

5) arc 5 - tight-cohesive story, probably the best arc in SAO. That said "best arc" in SAO isn't setting a high bar. Likely I think positively about it because Kirito is featured sparingly in it

6) weak ass MC with zero character. Kirito is a blank slate he's vaguely nice, vaguely assholish just to be "edge", he's like a 14yo chunni's dream insert. it's hard to like an anime with an awful MC. what makes his even harder to watch is how absurdly overpowered he is. pure gary stu territory

7) A1 pictures failing to make a good LN adaption again. This might seem like a weird complaint but one thing A1 pictures is guaranteed to do with every adaption is fail to portray narrative themes in a coherent way. Say what you will about the quality of the writing of SAO, it does have some narrative themes to it (such as questions about what is reality and what is life), all of which are abandoned by A1 pictures. Seeing as those themes tie the vague plot and character motives together, this hurts the story pretty seriously.

8) the horde of squeeing 14yo fanboys of SAO

In that whole paragraph, there was only 4 punctuation marks... but you're not wrong

I liked it fine when it was actually about SAO. Then it stopped being about SAO, and I stopped liking it.

For those who feel similarly, I highly recommend the Progresive Manga. Both leads are co protagonists, so Asuna is actually allowed to have a personality and not just be a decoration.

Kirito, by extension, is allowed to have character beyond self insert white knight gary stu. He's more snarky and smug, just enough to give hims a bit of roguish charm without being obnoxious.

And then there's Argo, whose is just a fun character.
