Berserk fans tend to over estimate just how popular Berserk really is. If people wanted a Berserk anime some studio would have put money into it. This "cheap" anime is all they could get and the fans should be grateful.

Other than Demolition D and Dark Souls, how much exposure has Berserk received? People on here think everyone's first manga is Berserk. As if your average manga reader wasn't reader some popular Shonen.

at least its not as bad as dragonball super

Mods 404 pls

>Demolition_D+ is in any way responsible for Berserk's exposure in any shape or fashion.
You're a fuckin aspie m8

I just saw a random split second of Guts walking during commercials on my TV
What the fuck?

Only edgy kids like this shitshow. Even Re:Zero is better and that's saying something.

>Berserk fans tend to over estimate just how popular Berserk really is.
No, I think the animators are the ones who overestimated its popularity here. They thought they could get away with a very loose adaptation. But the Berserk fanbase is still small enough that it consists of people who are very particular about the adaptation and want a 1:1 replication to the finest details like angles in panels.

I would be very surprised if this new anime was doing well anywhere. If so, then you and I are both wrong, and Berserk actually is pretty popular... which it could be, given that it's in the top 10 on a lot of anime / manga social sites like Anime-Planet.

Reboot has better fucking CGI work than nuSerk.

I don't disagree. I think the new anime is an abomination. The '97 anime was far from perfect, so this one is completely irredeemable.

How fucking new are you? Berserk is vastly popular and mainstream as far as manga goes, it's not a stretch at all to say it's one of the first manga a lot of people read, and probably the absolute babby's first seinen (Punpun may have become a contender in the last 3 years or so). Seriously, I've got no clue when Demolition D or Dark Souls started "giving it exposure," because I'm not a Sup Forums crossboarder, but it was already popular shit being recommended to every teen weeb who'd just read Naruto and Bleach back when I was in middle school in like 2007, and probably well before that too. It is absolutely huge with newfags.

>Other than Demolition D and Dark Souls, how much exposure has Berserk received?

I'd be a lot more grateful if we just never got a shitty adaptation to begin with and Miura didn't have to go on another break to waste time working on this shit tbqhsmhfampaidesu.

It could be the greatest anime ever made if they just were faithful to the manga and give the adaptation the One Punch Man treatment, but no, they had to go with this shitty CG animation and skipping tons of content. Fuck them.

>Even Re:Zero is better and that's saying something.

>Even Re:Zero is better and that's saying something.

You're not even trying anymore.

How bad the 4th episode was?

Go back to /v and drink some bleach

the 4th was the best episode so far because of the lack of action scene to fuck it up.

so, no clangs?

It's sold over 40 million copies. It's not One Piece or Dragon Ball, but it's very popular. Manga with half those sales have gotten faithful adaptations.

What about how they butchered the story? That has absolutely nothing to do with budget.

Also, there are plenty of cheap anime that don't use CG, but they chose to anyway. It was a creative decision that they have every right to make, and we have every right to call it shit.

>should be grateful
Nope, nobody needs to be grateful for anything

If Gantz can get such a good-looking CGI movie then so can Berserk.

The most popular manga ever have a shitty anime adaptation

...

This

Not that I recall

>He died before portraying Donovan in the inevitable 3DPD adaptation

JUST

Sup Forums here, we don't want him, send him to Sup Forums.

I'm pretty sure Miura based Donovan on Mike Tyson, who is still alive.

I see now Sup Forums is experimenting with "insulting your base" marketing tactics now.

He clanged when he picked up the sword by the handle with his flesh hand at the start. Yes, that caused a clang according to the sound director.

>>fans should be grateful.

Fuck you. Aside from the meme's and shitposting, a good portion of the fan base would rather have no adaptation at all instead of being spoon fed the shit that this new anime is.

Yeah. ONE's doodly works get more respect than Berserk these days. Poor Miura.

>Poor Miura

It's his own goddamn fault for having a long-running series constantly on hiatus. It doesn't matter how much wrist-breaking detail you put into your art if your readers lose interest.

That doesn't exactly excuse it.

I mean, it's not like they had reasons to skip content or heavily alter scenes for time constraints, other than some idiotic budget restrictions that were likely set in place.

The fact of the matter is that they tried to bank off the popularity of the series as an excuse for people to ignore every blatant shortcut they're taking, weren't expecting anyone to call them out on it, at least as far as western audiences go.

>Demolition D

Might as well add in Digibro too and go full faggot while your at it.

Companies exist literally for our enjoyment. If there is no enjoyment, they shouldn't exist.

They don't even look alike.

He just made Donovan a big black guy, jesus christ people

>and the fans should be grateful.
No, that's not the way business works. If you put out a shit product, customers are not obligated to "be grateful" that they even got that. The customer is the one with the power, not the business. The business should be ready and willing to literally get down on its knees and fellate the customer in order to make a profit and be grateful for the opportunity to do so. If they feel differently, they're free to make a shitty product that no one wants and have the company go under so they can live on the streets and are forced to suck dick to make a living anyways.

>hehe 2 gud 4 u.

Mad mods.

Is it just me or was the 3D animation MUCH worse in episode 4?

its popular and well-known as fuck
I read it first when i was starting high school in 1995
It's fan base has only grown with each new generation finding it. And it's way better that all this moe cute girl bullshit shitting up everything with fucking cliche after cliche. i miss stories and characters. And no a girl falls from the sky, or evolves from soda or any of the stupid crap is a story.
Also I know this is bait and i don't care.

>evolves from soda
Are you implying Akikan is anything less than a masterpiece? There were plenty of cute girl ecchi shows in the 90s too, you just didn't know about them because you were a newfag.

>Demolition D and Dark Souls
what the fuck is demolition D?
>Dark souls
>

no time for ecchi was watching, record of the lodoss wars, battle angle atilia, ghost in the shell, golden boy, el-hazard, neon genesis, blue seed, dragon half, magic users club

It is kinda hard to gauge how popular anime is.

Mostly because the moment anyone IRL talks about anime you should run and avoid all future contact with that person.

...

didn't even know what demolition d was before this thread but I will admit I only came to berserk through dark souls
