Apparently the security guard was shot before the main shooting started. He was on the floor to respond to a "door alarm". What was the door alarm? What caused him to get shot?

What happened to the drilling? He mentioned guests complaining about a drilling noise, why did they drop that line what was he drilling? Police also confirm that a drill was found in the room.
This also contradicts their narrative that the Security Guard is what kept him from fleeing. They originally said he went to flee but encountered the security guard and decided to stay put in the room.
But now they are saying the security got was shot first, and fled and alerted police. So there was a long time with no one outside his door.
And we now don’t know why he stopped shooting either. He stopped and “killed himself,” well before the police arrived.

Paddock was supposedly drilling screws into door jams to block access points to the hallway that his rooms were on. Obviously to gain more time. The first police to arrive claim that encountered such a blocked doorway. However, it is unclear as to what doorway that was or wasn't obstructed the security guard entered from to be spotted by Paddock, and if the guard had unjammed the block doorway, if Paddock went back to reseal it once the guard retreated. It would seem he would have had to if police ran into a door screwed shut. You'd have to see a schematic of the floor to get an idea of how that could have played out, and I have not.

I think the door alarm was the fact that the door was open for too long. I’ve had employees come to my room when the door was open because I put the slide lock in between the frame and door to see if everything is okay. He had the door open and security came to check on it. Why would he have the door open? An accomplis perhaps?

Hotel doors are designed to prevent the spread of fire, hence why they are so heavy and close automatically. If it was a stairwell door, did he have it open to escape? Engineer user here, If you try to find the exact device that is on the picture of the door (the type of door lock reader) you can find the pdf of it and it well tell you if it has alarm capabilities. Alot of the properties in vegas use shitty door locks that dont produce alarms, this door alarm shit seems fish af.
