With the benefit of hindsight all of his solutions were vastly misguided. We have seen what allowing foreign nations to interfere in national politics does. Giving up national power to this united Europe would just lead to each country having 4% of the power over their own country in exchange for directing 4% of the power over everyone else's.
Germany was very different in this regard. They instead wanted an imperial system with Germans and the Germanic people above all. With this system they hold 100% of the power over their own country and 100% over any occupied territories.

They are not "far apart" on the political spectrum, but they are fundamentally different to the core. Mosley wanted Europe to come together to be strong for the sake of Europe and her people. The EU wants to bind the nations together and replace the natives for the sake of multinationals and the elite.
