If it was an animated re-imagining of the source material it wouldn't be an anime adaption.
Adaptions can rearrange the order of events, skip arcs or add filler but fundamentally changing the source materials wouldn't make it an adaption of JoJo, it would essentially be fanfiction like the OVA.
