About at 7pm my mom got mugged at gun point by to scoundrels just around the corner from my house. So I go to the police station (literally 100 meters away from where she got mugged) to report the crime and press chargers. The police officer told me they know the guys and they've busted them a few times but the DA lets then go after 2 days, also tells me that the gun they carry is fake and that if i encounter them I should fight back and in his own words do my best to kill the fuckers. I asked why cant they kill the guys and they say that they would simply go to jail cause the DA favors the criminals life over the cops and wouldnt rule out the incident as a case of lawful self-defense wich is obviously is.
This is congruent with current statistics showing an over 90% impunity rate in Venezuela. This situation is further worsened by the fact that Chavez banned guns after the coup attempt in 2002. So /pol, what do you think about this fuckery? What do you think it can be done to counteract this delinquency rate in my country.
