Why do millennials still live at home?

Why do millennials still live at home?

They kind of useless people with no marketable skills.

only the poor who dont give a shit about their family leave at a young age.

because their parents fed them nothing nutritious and they didn't grow up.

>tfw 25 and living with my parents

Funny seeing Sup Forums wanting follow social norms created by the jews.

It makes no sense to leave home unless you have a career.

Thank you. It's been a while since we had a Steve O millennial thread.

Because it's expensive almost everywhere. I live in the Bay Area, California. A studio, not even an apartment, but a studio will set you back almost $2K/month. I'm pretty sure I'll be living with my parents until I'm 35 or more.

>tfw 25 and living by myself

Honestly, my parents helped me out a hell of a lot financially, so I am very fortunate. Having a good relationship with your folks works out pretty sweet.

there's nothing wrong with loving parents

I got a job at 14 years old to help pay my parents mortgage after they fell for adjustable rates. The house and land is 40% mine so why would I move out?

that and mum wanted me the fuck out of their house. We all win

I currently live away from my parents because of school. I plan on moving back when I'm done so I can save up enough money for my own home. I already have a job in my field.

>Having a good relationship with your folks works out pretty sweet.
only if your folks are already fairly well off

I don't. Me and my gf rent an apartment after living with her family for 5 years, so it was a long time coming. My brother has the other bedroom, so my rent is only $300 monthly.

>a good relationship with your folks

even bad people have children. I get sick of warning people about my "stalker parents". no contact for 6 years now.

Because it's cost-effective. The problem isn't living with parents, the problem is that people who live with their folks are so fucking retarded and don't capitalize on putting anything into their savings.

So when they do move out, they're fucked.

becouse fuck homeless people, that's why

Why does Gen Z use a picture of Gen-Xer as an example of a Millennial?

>government job and university both walking distance from parent's place
>tfw

I'd have to be an idiot to move out

I know some who did it for the exact opposite reason; they were paying off [college] debts and living at home allowed them to pay it off faster (thus cheaper, see how high interest rates grows). They tended to be chastised anyway, despite that they had good paying jobs and were making an effort to build their future. At home living is an instant stigma no matter what you do (unless if you're J. Edgar Hoover).

cant beat living rent free

cant speak for everyone, but i graduated high school when gas prices were $5 a gallon, and i graduated with 50k in debt just in time for the financial collapse in 2008. paying back student loans and working full time shit jobs set me back a few years. i dont live at home anymore, but i did for a while.

obviously boomers wouldnt know what its like to work hard, but its a challenge my generation has to deal with.

>Jews create housing bubble
>rent prices are insane
>millennials given choice to live with parents or live in Nigger neighborhood

They really don't have an excuse. I'm 25 I just got BTFO by Toyota Christ and needed therapy that couldn't be obtained by my underrepresented minority status. Seriously you just run into black people all the time.

Wow,
This is a nostalgic bread
>brings me back to the CTR days
This is a dumb fucking slide thread that has been posted DOZENS of times in the last year.
>check the archives
think about it for quite sec...
Is a REAL user gonna make a thread about
>"millenials"?
Sage this bullshit

Also, children living with their parents until marriage has been the norm for the majority of history. Only in the late 1940's did that change.

>antisocial autist
>fuck school
>write algorithms and code for fun
>sell algorithms and code
>pay off mom's mortgage

I don't live in her basement, she lives in my attic.

>REEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Even if I could live by myself I don't think I want to, I'm afraid that I might become a full on alcohol, 24 benzed out and weed smoking or just descending into madness out of isolation.

Nothing is "dope" about living in a city apartment complex with thin walls.

>tfw 27 yo but like in a 30sqm apartment (330sqft)

damn stev-o cab make that kick me right in the nuts face
rare

Underrated

...

The property is set to be handed down to me, that's why. Six beautiful acres makes me more wealthy than 90% of the fags who post on this site. I live at home because it's home.

too expensive
not smart enough to pay rent on $10/hr

>What if you live on a family property, but live on your own?

Just asking.

Asking for this?

>bought a home
>renting it out
>live with parents, rent free, just have to help out around the house
>saving up to buy another rental property
I'm basically playing monopoly in real life.

I got kicked out at 19 (with financial support for half my rent) and I'll be sure to do it to my children as well.

I suppose the availability of women wanting to fuck around made having a place far from your parent's something to be desired.

I moved out when I was 18, bought my first house at 23. I'm 28 now.

>25
>live at home with parents, completely free
>bring girls over and fingerbang them in the bed I've been sleeping in since I was 16
>mom makes me and my girls dinner every time
>nearly 50K in savings
>work out, play vidya every day
You nerds can't even hurt my feelings. Laughing at you all day.

cause we are waiting our parents to die so we get their shit

>enlisted in Guard at 17
>worked all through high school
>moved out the day after graduation
>be 22
>get hired at the same factory my dad is a supervisor at
>make decent money as a machine operator
>turn 24 last week
>get promotion to senior manufacturing technician
>make $20.77 an hour now
>still living on my own
>starting to get involved in a local Baptist church
>talking to a cute redpilled white girl
>still visit with my family on a weekly basis

Lol nigger, you're doing it wrong.

It's not that easy to live in the forest user.

I was living in California for a decade, sold my home to move back to Colorado. My parents have a large house and property and almost 80 so I wanted to move home and take care of them. 4 bedrooms 4 baths no mortgage, way more space than I could afford in California.
Why dont americans love their parents and want to be there for them and help them? Don't you realize in the history of human beings its only in the last 50 years that it became normal to move out and abandon your parents? That humans are happiest when living with or near family and taking care of each other? That we are truly clan based by nature?

>live in the Midwest
>40 year old one bedroom apartment costs $500 a month without utilities
>2 bedroom atleast $750 and would have to live with some normalfag and put up with typical roommate bullshit
>still have a car payment because burgerland and need car
>groceries
>Internet
>$10 an hour not even full time because 21
>work 2 jobs for 60 hours a week just so you can be a big boi and have your own apparent instead of paying rent to mummy

No thanks.

I canĀ“t move out, i need all my money for Figures and plane tickets to Japan.

Boomers are useless for forging this wretched world for us.

>Don't you realize in the history of human beings its only in the last 50 years that it became normal to move out and abandon your parents?

Goy, you're not adult unless you have your own place. All of the cool kids are moving out at 18 taking out some loans with very reasonable intrest to pay for college while working atleast 40 hours a week to forfeit their entire paycheck to the chosen people.

Heartbreaking isn't it? Because of these new rules, I've opted out of the game. I refuse to play.

>but a studio will set you back almost $2K/month.
This is fucking insane and why we need socialism.

>live at home
Where else would you live?

Where else am I supposed to live?

Im 35 and live with parents. Leaving to go be homeless and just do a lot of drugs.

I don't i moved out at age 17 and got my own place, I have a salaried job and pay for all my own shit. Don't talk to my parents ever and can't be fucked to go find a gf mostly because 90% of the females available around me are giant whites and the other 10% that are worth my time are taken
(I'm 22 now mods no ban)

I own my houses and rent them to millennials.

Keep on grinding and making me even richer bois!

Lazy.
Entitled.
Every millenial is tired and poor after their hormone injections and prepping their mom's bull for dad.

I'll be a 40 year old virgin living with my mommy unless I suicide some time before 30.

its just you OP

do it already pussy

I literally know nobody who lives alone

Nobody.

Michigan? It is so fucked in the midwest. If you didnt go to college and your parents didnt have a business or skill to pass onto you, youre basically completely fucked.

Anyone who doesnt believe this anons math, dude. That is literally how it works here. BEST case scenario, you can get something around $10 hr , and that shits nearly impossible. Then you have to work over 60 hours a week JUST to pay for the shittiest 1 bedroom you can find.

No fucking thanks. Boomer holocaust now. How the shit do you go from the most prosperous generation in history to this fucking disaster were in now. Pussy ass faggots who let kikes and niggers conquer our economy and our land.

Because it's nicer than being a slave and spending all of your money to share an apartment with three other degenerates so you can sleep with whores who will make false rape claims and ruin your life.

Living at home isn't a permanent solution, but we are collectively foiling the baby boomer slave agenda, which is why they keep trying to import replacements.

Then we voted Trump and foiled their new plan. They think we're stupid, but keep learning that we somehow know better.

>$50k in debt
>$1500/mo shitty 1 bdrm apartment

College was worth it

29 year old living at home here in LA.

The average cost to rent here in LA is $2,300/month. I make about $70k/year.

I'd rather live at home and actually save for property than be stuck living in an apartment, while barely being able to save any money.

I worked minimum wage and lived with a roommate for six months a few years back. rent and food was 95% of my paycheck.

A lot of asian families live together here in the UK and they all use the extra disposable income to start businesses and become sucessful.

Us white people can do it also but spending half your week working at a job to earn enough money to cover 60% off your rent and bills, kills a lot of dreams.

Same.

because we're broke you asshole. I'm 26, I worked full time for years to be able to pay for college, now I'm in college and not in debt but still working part time so I only make 800 bucks a month at ten an hour (with benefits thank god) but I have at least 600 bucks a month in expenses. How do I afford a house with 200 bucks a month ?

wtf you have weed in iceland?

I'm waiting till we get a new house and experience the house life, we live in an apartment in a beaner neighborhood, the only other house we had was a shitbox in a nigger neighborhood and that's when I started to be a recluse because it was all black outside.

Also, as a White supremacist aren't you suppose to be my brother? wtf are you doing telling me to kill myself?

They're just lazy and want everything done for them. I'm pretty antisocial and I'm probably only barely above average, if above average at all and I'm working on an engineering degree with great grades and extra curriculars. They just don't want to do anything other than sit at home and play video games. The "social justice" bullshit is so popular because it requires no real work other than hanging out with other people that don't want to do anything other than hang out.

Not Michigan, Missouri college town.

Jesus Christ this post started turning /r9k/ real quick.
Fucking get job
>or two
Save every penny possible
Buy lot of land
Put a trailer home on that shit
>save some moar
Start slowing turning trailer home into house with add on
>basically DLC your white trash wagon
Basically pay mortgage price of trailer and live in Manson in 10+ years

>Put a trailer home on that shit
I'd literally kill myself if I became redneck hillbilly trailer trash, I'm a suburban White, not some rural hick abomination. I may be poor but I have my standards.

I'm 24 and still live at home.

I lived for myself during the age 17 to 21, but rent in copenhagen is insanely inflated.

So while living at home I've been able to save up everything I would have spent on rent, and I'm currently 9 months from being able to afford my own apartment.

I guess it's highly circumstantial.

>Manson

That's my plan, living with my parents and going to start on a new job, saving up as much as possible to buy and rent property, I don't want to be a wagecuck forever.

Why do westerners want to leave home? Why do westerners send their parents to 'retirement' homes' where they are abused by the staff and have their shit stolen? Why do westerners surrender a good chunk of their salary to pay for childcare when they have parents?

Because living around the people who raised you and raising your children is terrible, goy. Individualism was a mistake.

>Why do millennials still live at home?
Keynesian economic theory is a subversive ideology created by the Fabian Society to destroy and divide native populations through economic upheaval by passing socialistic/communistic regulations and controls in the name of safety while blaming its own failures (of mainly central banking) on the free market.

hhhnnnnnnnnnnnngggggg

I'm 27 and moved back in with my parents.

When you're sick and tired of the tinder scene it's actually pretty damn comfy.

I'm 26 still living at home. I buy all the groceries and pay 100 bucks rent. I've been given the all clear to stay as long as I want. And I will.

By not renting and suddenly having 800 to spend on something that will actually create value for you.

Well, I'm 24 living it up at home, because fuck Helsinki.
Even more so since leaving would mean 2 empty rooms and I doubt my folks would rent either. Also, easy highway access anywhere.
Not a NEET either, woo.

Thats a very complex way of saying our parents either haven't started charging us rent or kicked us out yet.

You're sadder than most men your age.

>roommate status determines coolness and success

You'll grow up someday, user

yeah I agree and thats why I am not renting and I have always been against renting. My girlfriend and I planned on getting a townhouse, but even if we save enough for a downpayment and the first year's monthly payments, after that the two of us have less than 500 bucks a month between the two of us after we are done paying car insurance, gas, food, and for school so we can't afford it until we are both out of college and hopefully making more money.

Would you rather

>Be employed. Live with parents at 25

Or

>Be unemployed. Live alone at 18

If you tend it yourself, cool I.E stock fridge, mow lawn, clean around house, and if you see something fucked on the property you actually fix it not just call the owners. If your some squatting pissant then nah

>been living under my own power since 21
It's really not that bad. But it also means expendable income is very low. What's funny, and scary, is that I'm technically doing better than the rest of my family.

>falling for this guy

I'm not talking about coolness or success. Im talking about
>Can't get tinder date
>Moves back in with mommy and daddy
>I don't need to make my own relationships, this is great!
Is that what the last whore said to you? You're not successful enough to be with?

You have reading issues. I can get plenty of tinder dates. In fact, I've gotten so many that I'm sick and tired of it. Once you hit 15 it's all the same except the feeling of shittiness that lingers on afterwards. It's empty and pointless and you feel like shit after a pump and dump.

You are literally illiterate. But I guess that's not surprising.

Because i make 50k, as an attorney with 2.5 years of experience, and that wouldn't cover a mortgage payment, i have the down payment, Just not the income to sustain it.

New York, so property values are fucked

Weve got fucking lawyers living at home

These fucking boomer kikes dude i swear to god. What a fucking pathetic joke. How the fuck are there LAWYERS who cant afford a fucking home. That is fucking infuriating. God fucking damnit.

Dude all kinds of professions are fucked. I'm considering patent/IP law but know it could still be a joke.

For example when you dig into the STEM meme you learn that it is mostly just tech companies pushing propaganda to have ever cheaper workers.

You have to live in a low cost of living city in the midwest to have a decent shot at a middle class lifestyle now. That goes for almost ALL professions. There is literally almost nothing good out there anymore.

People wonder why white are using drugs. This is why.

My brother in law is a mechanical engineer and makes great cash, but does 12 hour days.

My buddy is a civil engineer, he sets time schedules for buses and subways for the NY MTA, he was making 120k with 5 years of experience, last year.

I should have done a civil service job.

Homeowner with no mortgage at 32, basically retired now and living the NEET lifestyle Do bits of freelance work when I need to and get to keep all of it
