Cakemaster hand down

Idolmaster is objectively better.

I'm really obsessed with Love Live. I love the music, the anime, and the phone app game. Would I like idolmaster?

...

Love Live: 9 little girls who were raised and developed in such a way that you can never forget them.
They are so pure that there was barely any fanservice in the show.

Im@s: ever growing fuckton of disposable cocksleeves that were marketed as """idols"""

Love Live doesn't have anyone as pure as Mika though.

idolmaster has an annoying self insert producer character who adds nothing to the show

Convince me to start playing the game

wug

Aikatsu

Are either worth watching? Both are some of the only mainstream anime I've been purposely avoiding for no reason.

What can I expect if I jump into Love live?

fun

A cute girls doing cute things SoL that's broken up by a terrible CG dancing sequence every few episodes.

This, all the other franchises are inferior

Aikatsu might have the best anime out of all the idol franchises

Im@s >>>>>>>>>>>> shit >>> JAV Live >>>> JAV Live: Shitshine

LL doesn't have lolis. BUT at least it's not anti-lolicon shit as Cinderella Girls.
765 > LL > * including WuG > CG

Aikatsu is good at what it is, a relaxing little girl orientated show without any tension or drama, but it is also very limited because of what it is at its core.

Idolmasters without a doubt, has more porn

>LL: yuri

>Im@s: het self insert

I think we know who wins this one

Love Live>Locodol>Aikatsu>Idolmaster>WUG

Love Live.More story-driven and didn't bore me to death with endless episodes of Idol does random stuff.

Too bad the story is trash.

Idolmaster has real characters instead of "im cute and try my best" copypasted 20 times

I agree. Osomatsu-san is the best.

At least it had a story rather then Idolmaster.

>real characters
>Shy Girl who's shy
>Some girl who flirts
>The Genki
>Pretty much all underdeveloped archetypes
Yeah nah.

Im@s: 10 girls who were raised and developed in such a way that you can never forget them.
They are so pure that there was barely any fanservice in the show.
Love Live: ever growing fuckton of disposable cocksleeves that were marketed as """idols"""

If you actually watched the show, you'd notice Idolm@ster has as much fanservice as Love Live.

None.

youtube.com/watch?v=D5xUSgx25EQ

Not including CG because that show was fucking awful.

I prefer IM@S music but the LL had the better show, I mean nothing in IM@S comes close to Maki.

That Chihaya scene > anything LL S1/S2 though.

List of likable characters in Im@s:
- All of them

List of likable characters in LL
- Umi

>literal hetshit

Top fucking kek

Go fuck your hags elsewhere.

>Implying TakeP isn't best girl

The collection of cards with your waifu on it

For me, only Idolmaster scratches my idol itch. I don't know why but Love Live just doesn't do it for. I think it's because Love Live has the generic school setting that repulses me. I've tried to see what there is love about Love Live because of its huge fanbase, but I just can't see it. Is there something that I'm missing?

Some people like youthful girls instead of hags.
Hence, Love Live.

>If you actually watched the show, you'd notice Idolm@ster has as much fanservice as Love Live.
I loled
Im@s is so tainted with slut juice and men brew that even the seiyus voiced hentai games
And shit only made the fans harder

I guess. I'm not actually a h@gfag like some other Idolmaster fans though. I like youthful girls too but just not in a school setting since I've seen to much of it in other anime.

Damn it, I was hoping the eyes weren't an edit.

Music
CG > LL Sunshine > iM@s > LL

Girls
LL > CG > iM@s = Sunshine

Enjoyed LL the most out of all of them regardless. IM@s had a few skits and shit that I really enjoyed, as well as the last few episodes being great, but other than that CG was a bit more worthwhile in its seasons and the drama was a lot more gripping.

The entire Im@s cast featured nothing but flat girls who are all forgotten right after their arc end.

Meanwhile, Love Live needed only 9 girls and 24 episodes to do what Im@s cannot in 25 episodes, 4 OVAs, 1 movie, and a 24 episode successor.

Not to mention the fanbase who are so devoted, they made a religion out of LL.

love lives barely have a personality, they become the same boring-kind girls after their introductions

As opposed to Im@s who are so hollow they have to rely on sexualized marketing just to earn a profit?

Im@s is basically the idol who fucks old men to get the spotlight.

at least they still have personality, not like the normalfags pandering shit of love live

>at least they still have personality
This is what sluts tell themselves lol

>love live and im@s fighting
>when they are backed by the same company

You are now part of the idol singularity

By that logic, we can't have "best girl threads" because they are all on the same anime
Can even compare anime because they are all made by the same nationality

Fucking idiot

I can pick a favorite girl in Idolmaster but I can't pick a favorite from Love live. I like LL music more but hate the openings but iM@s opening1 is my shit. Shits conflicting yo.

Same here, might also be because I was introduced to Idolmaster before Love Live even was a thing. Love Live just felt like a cheap copycat at that time.

A lot of older iM@S fans felt that way until they watched it and found the differences. Now I have more idol fap material than I know what to do with

>im@s = capitalism
>love live = anarcho-syndicalism

Why would I want to watch cute girls get exploited by older men when I can watch cute girls work together to further their own interests instead?

We don't need your meme economy in here

iM@S = the establishment
Love Live = Independent movement

>No Wug-chan in that pic.

:(

Love live > im@s > sunshine >>>>>>>> cg

I found out about LL and Im@s roughly the same time (2011).

While I lost interest in Im@s after the anime, I stuck by with LL. If I had to narrow it down to something, something that kept me on, it had to be the music.

I haven't watched Cinderella Girls. I have watched Love Live 1-2, the original Idolm@ster and WUG.

Is CG any good? I've seen this girl posted a lot and think she's cute. Is she best idol?

Also IMO

WUG > im@S > Love Live (too much /u/ pandering, no guys in their universe not even fathers).

Number 1 descends into shitposting so I don't know why you even want those.

>3 generations of idols
>Multiple cds
>Anime with OVA
>Failed
Lovedol was ahead of its time

It is heavily based in drama, but the silver lining is that it has its episodes

>eternal newshit trip tries his hardest to not look like an eternal newshit

Personally i thought it was great fanservice after having played Starlight Stage. But otherwise it's nothing special i guess. Also a lot of people seem to dislike the anime because there's drama in it.

>someone other than me loved Lovely Idol

>too much /u/ pandering, no guys in their universe not even fathers
it's not too much about /u/ it's more about purityfags who will scream if they see a male who can corrupt their characters

It's like comparing Street Fighter with Tekken, it's the fucking same minus the reskins.

In the Lantis family household, LL and Im@s has long forgotten Lovedol onee-chan.

Don't the idolmasters actually pilot giant mecha-robots?

No males means it's yuri.

Ah I suppose that's correct, but there does seem to be more /u/ in love live than the other idol shows. Forgot to ask, how does CG handle its huge cast. It feels like there's more idols in that than the original? Only a fixation on like 3 characters?

Truly spoken like someone who hasn't experienced either one for more than 2 minutes.

All the cool idols get robots at one point or another

>not one hit
Damn, she's bad.

Depends on the episodes.

I count about 5-6 are NG focused. Then there's a few episodes dedicated to the rest of the ensemble cast as well as 4 episodes on the non-Cinderella Project Idols.

I don't mind it since the show needs a small group to be the audience surrogate and perspective otherwise the show would be swamped with too many idols with their own individual stories.

Although at least a few anons think the anime should be less NG-focused for some reason.

Is the im@s mobage as fun as LLSIF?

I've watched both and I can say that they more or less follow the same story. If Idol Anime is a genre, this is how you write it
1. There's a small group of girls either completely assembled or not at the beginning
2. There's a goal (becoming famous/top idols/winning a contest)
3. Cast consists of slapped on anime archetypes like a shy girl/genki/tomboy/the slut.
4. There may or may not be a rival to overcome who start from a more favourable position.
5. Eventually, the group achieves it's goal and becomes top idol or whatever.
Ichigo/Aoi- Starlight Queen/Number 1 Idol on Aikatsu rankings
ยต's- Winning the Love Live/Saving School
765- Becoming popular top idols

Basically consider it an underdog story of a group that starts at the bottom and makes their way to the top. Pretty much every Idol Anime I've seen fits it to the tee including WUG (they win a contest to be recognised as the number 1 idol in the second movie) and Perfect Blue (all that suffering seem to have been worth it as in the end she did get an acting career).

Haven't played SIF but Deresute is a lot of fun. And the constant stream of new content keeps it alive.
Game is pretty generous on giving out ingame currency, but if you're really gonna tryhard you'll have to pay. But I'm guessing SIF is very similar in that sense.

>Self-proclaimed cute

SO SHE'S AN UGLY LOSER?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I only watched the first season of love live, but idolm@ster had way better songs.

We Yaraon now. That's okay though because Sup Forums is basically English Yaraon in terms of content and the types of comments you are likely to get. Make sure to always frame absolutely everything as an argument or false dichotomy like good little sheep

...

Yep but Sup Forums doesn't understand how to have discussions that aren't arguments or pitting something against something else similar so here we are again. Personally I like aspects of both but then I'm not a retarded shitposter.

Because people are stupid. I bet Bandai Namco subtly fans the flames of this fake fan war to boost it's own sales through a manufactured fan support competition.

They did for a while but then people found out the connections between the two.

They are like arms dealers who sell weapons to both sides during a war

Be honest, are you even remotely surprised? At this point I'm all but convinced most of Sup Forums doesn't actually watch, play or read much of anything at all and just says random shit about what they think certain franchises are about based on other shit they've heard around the internet or on Sup Forums. Most of Sup Forums is probably too busy shitposting 24/7 to actually first hand experience something, the other chunk I think is trying to be funny but fails miserably at it because everything they say just comes across as terminally angry and butthurt instead

...

Somehow I think people finding out what should be blindingly obvious just by reading the first few lines of their wikipedia blurbs or having even the slightest clue what one is talking about (a real fucking challenge for modern Sup Forums and dumb anime fans in general) is going to stop any of the parties involved. Bandai Namco gonna Bandai Namco, people going fling shit at each other on the internet. I don't see how a little added knowledge stops the fully dedicated. If there's one thing I've noticed it's that career shitposters that kind of dominate and run roughshod over the anime community nowadays will outright deny reality to keep on shitposting the same old nonsense.

If it wasn't easy bait like iDOLM@STER vs. Love Live it'd just be Kyoani vs. Shaft today for the 1,000th time so this is comparatively a breath of fresh air if still a stupid argument.

So like Anaheim?

Now see I wouldn't mind a Scamco vs KyoAni situation.

Isn't Love Live the one where one of its voice actress idols was rumored to have been featured in a 3D porn video?

If Emitsun was in idolmaster instead of love live I wonder what they would've done to her after that jav scandal.

CG would have been released sooner

Probably absolutely nothing different since nothing really happened anyway. Shitposters went ham on the news trying to force an issue, her fans defended and supported her side of things, I fail to see how this would be any different with a franchise swap.

Again you can't really have a versus situation when you basically cover the music production for a company and benefit off of it. I could explain further what I'm talking about but maybe Sup Forums could stand to do some research for a change. Try starting with Lantis if anyone here even knows what that is anymore which I kind of doubt to be honest. Forgive me for lacking faith but Sup Forums posters seem to get exponentially dumber by the month lately so what people knew about no problem last August I can't be certain they do right now.

Minor correction something did happen, the buzz from the "controversy" resulted in the video becoming the most preordered adult video on Amazon for about a month after even though it's all but confirmed outright that it was a different actress that still does JAV but under a different name now. I expect in a years time this will be all most of Sup Forums knows Love Live for and is willing to talk about it in reference too because it's just so convenient for shitposting. The only thing that really surprise me is that Sup Forums didn't spam multiple threads about it all at the same time when it happened ala Re:Zero.

What's the cutest OTP in Im@s?

There actually were a few threads that did happen around it when that thing was talked about. Minor shitstorm of course, because actually, most of Sup Forums doesn't really watch Love Live.

The Re:Zero-spam on the other hand is just your organized artificial shitstorm planned a few weeks in advance when everyone and their dog on the internet wrote how episode 18 would totally radically change the whole thing, just like the Erased-cuckening. The first time when it happened in the manga, it was genuine and funny. The second one for the anime adaptation months later was just a pathetic forced rehash.

In short, business as usual on 2015+ Sup Forums.

None. Walkure is better than both.
