We're about the same age, It's amazing how incompetent and opaque these investigations have become. Since Columbine they have become more vague and guarded with the lack of transparency and things just not adding up. I chalked Sandy Hooks inconsistencies to the sensitivity of the victims being so young and thier families sanity, but this one is so obviously obscuring something else, something big. Correct. Initially they said Campos arrived on 32nd floor to check on a door that was "ajar" at 10:15. They called him a hero and credited him with stopping the shooting by distracting Paddock. The ajar door story is bullshit as the suite doors do not have sensors. Anyway, that story changed about a week or so later to Campos being on 32nd at 9:59 (6 minutes before Paddock began firing at concert), apparently there responding to complaint from other guests about "drilling" noises. Paddock then begins firing on concert at 10:05. He stops for reasons unknown at 10:15. Police arrive on 32nd at 10:17, do not storm room because shooting had already stopped.

The official story is that Campos arrived at a 'sealed' stairwell door at 9:59, went up another floor then back down to the 32nd floor, resolved the open door alarm issue, then proceeded further down the hall because he heard 'drilling noises'. He was then shot at by Paddock through the door, recieved a leg wound, and Paddock began firing on the crowd within 40 seconds of this occuring. At the same time Campos was being shot a MB maintenance engineer just happened to be walking on the 32nd floor and was warned by Campos to 'take cover' saving the ME's life and convienently preserving JC's 'hero' status. The police arrived on the 32nd floor at 10:17, just twelve minutes after the shooting had started. They found JC and the ME taking cover in the hallway when they arrived.
