The birth of the God-Babby was when Berserk really changed; it wasn't about Guts in a cruel, malicious world anymore. It was dozens of boring-ass chapters about the Muslim King attacking the Midlands, which allowed Griffith to unite all the disparate wrecked nations under the New World Order of Falconia. Shit may get dark again when Griffith finally drops the other shoe and sacrifices his entire pure, righteous kingdom to the God Hand to trigger the Apocalypse.
