>first opening plays during the final battle

Manga but still

>protagonist yells whilst crying

>dramatic scenes in the rain

>an unexpected rival appears

>the fight scene fades into the ending song

>Character who was gone for some episodes comes back in the middle of a battle

>Screaming during a super detailed close-up shot

>Going BEYOND 100%!
Best part of this anime to be honest.

>REMOVING LIMITER

>when you think the battle is over but it just gets more intense

>Hero is almost defeated
>random people start to cheer up for him
>He stands and fights
I'm a sucker for all that.

>Titledrop near the end of the series.

Muh dick.

That moment when the entire series reaches its climax, and something goes horribly wrong. Either the villain is on the verge of defeat, or the heroes have no other option. Everything goes M.A.D.

"Launch it."

Season two beings with everyone just picking up the pieces and getting back together. Nothing is right, the things they were fighting for don't matter, and the world they want to save isn't the one they thought they were saving.

A change of plans, a change of doctrine, a change of perspective. The heroes have matured, and they now have what they need to defeat the real villains.

That blank face a typically nice character gives when he about to enter full rage mode and can't think straight

examples?
please

...

...

Battles with insert songs. I love Macross and AKB0048

thiiiiiis 100 times over

>shit went down hard
>MC goes silent

>gets super badass powerup
>next episode fights exactly the same except for like 2 telekinetic bursts

>Someone starts humming the opening song

What are you talking about? He was throwing biba bros around as if they were ragdolls.

And he won against Biba who had 10 years more of fighting experience.

>Rivals teaming up to beat a common enemy
>Normally happy/carefree character gets serious
>Slit/closed eyes character opens their eyes all the way
>Character redemption arcs

The dude open his eyes.

>cute girl busts out the tea set

Or the ending
youtube.com/watch?v=TF3nA7uXliw

Last year's best ending too.

>It's time to use "that"

pretty much what happened at the end of todays episode in re:zero

Maybe I have to rewatch the episode, but he was on par with the samurai dude, who is completely human, and without the telekinetic bursts and luck, and Biba's mercy, he would have died.

I doubt he was even mumei tier.

when the big bad guy is about to show up

>first opening plays during the final battle
>it's season three
>seasons were not continuous
>it's the best opening

>when you realize a character sacrifices his/her survival to fight on
>protagonist/antagonist seems to be defeated: starts laughing/smiles

Can't wait for Bones to deliver.

>ED intro starts playing before the credits sequence begins
>bonus points if it's a cliffhanger
It makes me feel tingly.

>Jesus Yamato saves the day in the Freedom.mp4

So calm, so tranquil.

Ngggg
Examples?

I also like when some character finally sees how bullshit his philosophy is and change it. Kinda like Tokyo Ghoul.

Their babies are going to destroy reality itself.

...

So basically
>The atmosphere's tense before the battle starts
>Some dumbass preemptively makes a move to ease up everyone

youtube.com/watch?v=0tng6q3Ne28

>the heroes give it their all to fight off and defeat the enemy
>ammo is expended, wounds are taken, they are exhausted
>a new wave of enemies double the size of the last is incoming
Gunbuster does this really well

no idiot

when a cute girl grins

lame

>Protag is gimped/ holding back in a fight for some reason
>Weak villain gets the upper hand and thinks they're hot shit, taunts and insults protag
>Rematch, protag not handicapped anymore
>Wrecks the villain without even trying

Satisfying as FUCK son.

I see you too, are a man of taste.

Final Fantasy 6 is not an anime, user, as much as it would make a good one.

This sounds a lot like the plot to Jormangandr but I don't think it is.

Guilty Crown was shit.

source

S2 of tack on titan

Don't listen to It's from the Gun Game arc from Sword Art Online

>comic relief gets serious

>Winning the fight should be theoretically impossible for the hero
>They throw out everything they have and win anyway

>first opening plays during the final battle

This.

...

>legendary bad guy shows up
>rekts 100 people solo just cause
>summons blue skeleton ghost samurai (BSGS) with his I-hax0r powers

At this point you're looking at the strongest "ninjas" by you to help you

>both gaara and tsuchikage are looking at each other like wtf

>BSGS begins to do hand signs they still had those?
>sky gets dark

At this point everyone knows but they can't believe it

>is this even ninjitsu?

You pray to some ninja god

>there's at gaint meteor the size of a city block above you
>tsuchikage, strongest man you know, tells everyone to just GTFO don't try to save anyone only save yourself

After awhile you notice your not crushed

>look up
>Gaara and tsuchikage-sama have barely saved your ass by the thinnest hairs

Maybe we can do this...

>hear something in the distance
>Not bad Onoki...

But what will you do about the second one?

Madara pls

Need some answers nigga. Where that at,

>Happy/quiet/good nature character completely loses their shit / gets consumed by evil / does something they know is morally wrong because they can't resist how fun it is.

Its a shame very few shows actually go all the way with this. Often its just kind of hinted at. Wixoss immediately comes to mind as an offender.

When the usually calm and collected leader character starts breaking into tears.

>Characters sing to democracy while remembering the fallen

What even qualifies for the third case? I can't think of any cases that fit it.

Unless you mean like some pure maiden seeing a dick and hopping on because it seems like fun in doujins or whatever.

>Sorry I'm late

>useless and/or side character gets to be a badass

when an edgy character gets those scary eyes

The very best.

The character with the usually closed eyes opens them during a round of hostile banter

>"Fukken do it pussy I don't care"
>Villain does it
>Gets the shit kicked out of him anyways

>Protagonist and antagonist team up at the end to fight an more powerful antagonist

>you know
>under different circumstances
>we could have been friends

>Protagonist mans the fuck up and stops being a beta bitch.

Gin no Saji was great.

>first fight after a training segment

Final episode, final scene is a montage of how all the characters are spending the rest of their lives, months, even years after the events of the main story.
>all done with the first OP/ED playing in the background.

Tears every fucking time.

When you break barriers like this

Ruuko touched on it a little bit with the whole battle is fun even though it ruins my opponents lives, but she never really went off the deep end and became the evil ruuko the series hinted at in the first season.Actually I can't really remember cases of any of those happening save maybe gon vs pitou. Still characters going off their rollers or going from good to evil is just fun to watch.

>Usually brash and bold character goes into silent, coldblooded berserk.
>Usually timid and shy character goes into most loud and brutal rage mod possible
Oh yes.

The Descending Sword was the best part of Gundam Seed

Try to prove me wrong

orchestra/chorus music

this does it for me in any medium
dramatic chorus is awesome

I like it when there's a quick flashback of all the struggles and shit the character had to deal with and then he shows how much he improved.
Also when the character starts running as a kid and is shown growing up in the process like in the first ending of grisaia no rakuen.

tits

Really abrupt deaths that come without warning right after or in the middle of a conversation

>see you later user-kun
>turns around and starts walking away
>immediately drops dead from gunshot
>zoom in on MC face as he slowly realizes what just happened

>usually calm character goes sad/depressed/looks down/cries
>antagonist/villain rejoices
>said calm character explains he/she isn't like that because of him/herself
>but for the villain/antagonist
>v/a gets confused
>calm character starts the beat the ever living shit out if V/A
>without even trying
>while telling him why his logic fails forever
>V/A realises how screwed he is
>even calm character's allies/friends are shocked at how fearsome calm guy actually was

MC and best girl actually acknowledge the fact they love each other and enter a relationship, none of that halfway bullshit

>Weapon/gear up montages followed by an insert song

>GRIT THOSE TEETH

>untz untz action scenes

>Doitforher.jpg

>bad things happen
>I mean really really bad
>I mean killing the love interest bad
>MC goes absolutely berserk
>Like "Guts after doing a line" berserk
>rips apart the environment and almost crushes the big bad, but ultimately fails
>everything is not okay but at least nobody is dead
>MC recovers and can now access his Butthurt Mode at will

>villain explains he is bad because world made him this way to justify his ideals
>MC wen through the same shit but stopped because he isn't into edgy shit
>Mocking villain for choosing the easy path

>mocking the villain
It's awesome regardless of the context

I like it more when the villain goes all edgy explaining why the world sucks and giving his sob story while the MC just doesn't give a fuck and ignores him

I love it when people who choose to be dick get called on that shit. It reminds us how pathetic a person has to be to choose to be cruel.

ok calm down sjw, go back to tumblr

Being cruel can be surprisingly satisfying depending on the people and the situation itself. Being an edgelord 24/7, however, is never cool.

How the fuck is calling people who go out of their way to be cunts pathetic is in anyway sjwing? Are you saying that it's good to be a fuckstick? Because that's what it sounds like you're saying.

GAR screaming + going over 100%.

Literally plus ultra, despite how fucking badly it was animated. That ULLLTRAAAA is 10/10 voice acting.

youtube.com/watch?v=XvR-kTUad6U

VILLAIN YO

>Highschool setting
>Mc not letting himself get hit by a girl.
>Mc not going to put up with the fucking bullshit that happens around him and goes alpha.

It's even better when the one calling shit on the villain was a former villain himself.

I miss Kaze no Stigma.

>Main Villain from the previous arc returns to MC in a dream.
Rurouni Kenshin did this and it was pretty damn cool
