A live action Evangelion rendition would have problems, though. It would either have to be greatly condensed, or made as a series of movies or a tv show. It would also need a big budget. Market it as "the legend that inspired Pacific Rim, coming to the USA for the first time!" to help it sell.
Oh, and pray that Anno and Sagisu are involved, leaving NGE completely in the hands of hollyweird is a recipe for disaster.
