Can we agree that Light did nothing wrong?

Can we agree that Light did nothing wrong?

He did a few bad things, but honestly surprisingly little. Most of those he killed deserved it.

He was a mistake

You're a mistake

He was a monster but he killed other monsters. Some 'innocents' died but they threatened the monster.

We know Light is a monster but most people thought Kira was an angel. Basically, can you tolerate a monster if you could reason it does good? Obviously for some, a monster is still a monster in the end.

In that sense, isn't God as depicted in the bible and Christianity a monster too, unleashing plagues and suffering, sometimes simply to test the faith of his disciples?

He fell for baby tier bait and killed Lind L Taylor

He did one thing wrong.

Being too cute

>killed a genius police detective who was extremely close to revealing him, which would've led to his imprisonment and likely his execution, preventing him from his goal

Light did what he had to do.

Some could see it that way but Light isn't God. Despite having godly power in his possession, he's just a human with a god complex. That was the issue, having a mere mortal act as judge and executioner for all mankind.

But still, many people thought the egomaniacal monster was doing a better job than the people tasked with dealing with monsters. And it's funny, L was kind of a monster himself and many of the people Light killed were monsters "with legality" even in the views of ordinary people.

DN is juvenile fiction so it doesn't dig deep but it's interesting.

>having a mere mortal act as judge and executioner for all mankind.

He was an extremely intelligent prodigy. And really, what's so wrong with wanting to kill criminals and protect innocent people from evil?

Quads have spoken

That was well crafted bait. Light got triggered easily but killing Taylor wasn't going to automatically lead L closer to him. L already had a ton of shit figured out and only needed confirmation.

The scene displays Light's egomania but also is meant to show who he's up against.

Light was intelligent but still a human subject to corruption and fallibility. The fear is he won't stay constant and will change his definition of 'innocent' and 'guilty' at his fancy. And the only verdict is death.

>kills a few people who are branded criminals
>immediately decides to proclaim himself a God less than a day later
>"Kira, I know you think you're doing the right thing, but your actions are evil."
>kills this guy just for criticizing him
>murders his own followers if it's convenient to him

Yeah, no.

He killed best girl. Light did everything wrong.

Who? Didn't the series end 10 episodes ago?

Fine, he also killed second best girl.

The arrogant way he killed Penber fucked him in the long run

I agree

No we can't. Why? Because the nigger died like a fucking bitch. After all that talk of being god and getting rid of criminals, when his turn to die finally came, nigger started crying like a total pussy.

Hell in the manga he was even more pathetic. He actually started begging Ryuk for help.

>have perfect weapon to kill people without getting caught
>still get caught
No, he did EVERYTHING wrong
