Obamacare is being defunded so the program will be fucked anyway. It couldn't continue without congress giving insurance companies massive subsidies which defeated the purpose of Obamacare.
Basic problem that Trump's White House has dealt with is that a lot of voters have no idea what Obamacare even is. Many Democrats assume it just means covering pre-existing conditions and having employers paying for insurance, kinda ignoring the whole matter of how insurance was made unaffordable to most Americans and that Trump didn't want to do away with the pre-existing conditions rule.
This makes Trump's move to do away with subsidies pretty fantastic, as it forces Democrats to own up to the worst part of Obamacare which they would never be able to get support from congress to fund again.
So Trump can get what he wants with leaving in the rules about pre-existing conditions, has already done an executive order to allow businesses to buy insurance plans across state lines (major change he wanted), and will force insurance companies to come up with their own solutions to lowering costs because their plans will not be getting subsidized.

OP, Trump bragged like an idiot about what he could do in his first 100 days. Still, his first Congress through 2018 could still pass tax reform, and in that time frame in foreign policy ISIS could be gone and something happen with North Korea.
