ITT: Asspulls that made you drop a series unironically

What about Kurapika's chains
Or adult Gon?

Or fucking Pitou who's power had about a dozen powers in it.
Or Alluka's "IT JUST WORKS" wish granting abilities?

Why drop it at this point?
You should never have made it to greed island.

HxH fans have quite the dilemma on their hands. They can either defend this and look foolish, or all but admit HxH is no better than Naruto and Bleach at bullshitting --hell, maybe even moreso.

>What about Kurapika's chains
>Or fucking Pitou who's power had about a dozen powers in it.
This is used to develop the story and not to solve it.

>look this thread again

but user, you dont get it, HxH is the thinking man shonen battle manga, its a decosntruction of the genre, its so deep, an togashi is a genious, not a hack or a lazy fuck at all, its too deep for you

This. The advantage of HxH is that it is not straightforward in terms of plot. Togashi likes to play with the circumstances. But the rest is basically a battle shonen like any other.

>Kurapika mysterious gains a power
>mostly off screen no less
>in less then a year that can solo every single spider
>"developing the story"
Lol

He is one of the biggest geniuses in Hunter X Hunter. He learned to use Ten in a week. He's even more talented than Gon and Killua.

>Kurapika mysterious gains a power
>mostly off screen no less
His power is literally explained to you in vivid detail during his fight with Uvogin.
>in less then a year that can solo every single spider
He has a restriction that allows him to gain an advantage on a Spider, this restriction is the key to his strategy against them. You would know this if you actually paid attention, speedwatcher.

Fuck this shitty Gary Stu

...

This. Plus, he's been built up as Gon's end game. While he might never reach the level of the ants, he still is one of the most talented humans in existence.

And Hisoka's reanimation was described after the fight?
Your point?

Sharingan 2 OP

Alluka was the most retarded asspull in the series; even worse than adult Gon.

Togashi apparently couldn't think of any sensible way to bring Gon back so he had to create that deus ex machina of a character. Very disappointing. You'd think with all those hiatuses he'd have plenty of time to think of a sensible way to advance the story but nevermind I guess.

>He learned to use Ten in a week
>Thinking that shitty Ishida fanfiction story is canon

>confusing reincarnation with resurrection
>talking to others about ESL
Heh.

Togashi said it is.

>You'd think with all those hiatuses he'd have plenty of time to think of a sensible way to advance the story but nevermind I guess.

>Dropping a series when there's only like 4 chapters left

>Togashi said it is.
No, he didn't, faggot.

Adult Gon was the worst ass pull this series did desu.

He did in his interview with Ishida. He said that he let Ishida decide Hisoka's past and wants to draw a chapter on his own soon that explains why Hisoka was lying on the ground in Ishida's chapter at the beginning. Kill yourself.

That it wasn't an asspull, you retard.

Really? Armin's a titan like Eren now?

You still didn't say anywhere that Togashi said the story was canon. Remove yourself from the gene pool.

Fucking Alucards OC donut powers and character

Yeah, pretty retarded chapter desu.

>Togashi literally says that Ishida is allowed to decide Hisokas past and that he himself with elaborate on Ishida's work in his main manga
>I-It's not canon!!
Kill yourself.

>Reincartion= coming back as another person
>Resurrection= coming back as the same person
Not him, but what the fuck?

You do realize that post-mortem nen was used to itens imbued with nen already. in those cases the nen could get stronger.
It was never about issuing specific commands after death. If you have actually read the fucking story you would know that.
Fucking stupid

same here, it was erwyn shit death and CAPTAIN LEVY BUT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE OCEAN who make me drop this manga. it was a good ride with a lot of flaws but this time i give up. i dont even know if i will read the basement chapter by curiosity. its getting ridiculous.

Do you not understand the concept of confirmation? Unless Togashi literally says from his own mouth "Ishida's backstory about Hisoka is canon to my chronology", then it isn't canon. You fucking moron.

You're just in denial, retard. confirms it.

So, you don't understand the concept at all. Good to know. I can stop taking you seriously now.

Nah, you don't get it. Why would Togashi plan to refer to Ishida's oneshot in the main manga if it wasn't canon? Are you stupid?

>CAPTAIN LEVY BUT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE OCEAN

Jesus, that was terrible.

the spiders didn't want to kill kurapika because if they did chrollo could suffer the concequences and he was not able to defend himself since he couldn't use nen.
even more, kurapica started to get sick just because of the post mortem nen of uvo and paku

again. a nen that was already created and in use.
Not a fucking time bomb.

>Why would Togashi plan to refer to Ishida's oneshot in the main manga if it wasn't canon?
To humour Ishida, which is what he was doing the entire interview. Until he does reference it, it isn't canon. It's not hard to grasp.

Literally who gives a fuck you stupid nigger, Togashi set the foundation for that 'asspull' ages ago. you're fucking just salty he didn't down the clown

>To humour Ishida
What a fucking strawman argument. He literally explains the ideas he has for that chapter in the interview, faggot.

Are you actually retarded? How do you fail to follow a children's manga? The only asspull here was Nanika. All of the others obey the established rules and were foreshadowed.
Is it because it's summer or is Sup Forums full of genuine retards?

>If I say it often enough, it's true
Nope

You're a dumbass if you couldn't see he was humouring him the whole way through. Like I said, until Ishida's fanfic is implemented into the actual series, then it isn't fucking canon. Get over that fact or kill yourself.

Are you referring to the fact that you keep posting this thread over and over again besides being explained just as many times how it follows long established rules? If so i agree.

You do realize you dumb shit that you stupid foundation do not exist.
Point a single instance in this fucking manga when a nen was created from nothing. All the know instances are expansions of effects that are already active.
Can you follow that or is too difficult for you?

>You're a dumbass if you couldn't see he was humouring him the whole way through.
He literally wasn't. Do you have autism?

>Rest
Take your own advice.

Nope, those were asspull and you literally can't disprove that with pages from the manga, memestar.

Gon and Killua making their abilities maybe? You are aware people in this series chose what abilities they want, right?

>He literally wasn't.
See how much of a dumbass you are?

You do realize that Iwas talking about post mortem nen, right?

Nope, you can't understand basic communication between mangakas. Truly autistic. Prove your claim or fuck off.

You didn't mention post mortem nen, read your post.
Also Hisoka activated his ability before dying you retard, just like Pitou. Did you miss the "o my rubber nen" meme? Do you think he talked while he was dead?

Pledges and post mortem death were both introduced way back in Yorkshin and have been seen through the series. If you read all 350 chapters prior to this scene and still missed that then you must have some serious autism.

>post mortem death
Post the exact page that proves that what Hisoka did is within the rules or fuck off with your lies.

Read again your faggot.
Wishing up a star is not the same as activating the ability. What was the effect that he activated before dying?
Pitou tried to activacte his doctor phil ability and it went crazy after that. the same was the fear that the spíders stated in yorkshin.
What isoka did was totally different.
do you get it now?

>Prove your claim or fuck off.
You prove YOUR claim, retard. Simply taking what Togashi said that didn't in any way confirm what you are asserting and using that as a way to pass of tour delusions as fact doesn't prove shit. You still haven't provided any sufficient proof that Togashi says the story is canon.

>Simply taking what Togashi said that didn't in any way confirm what you are asserting
It did. He is literally using it as a part of his manga as he confirmed.

>inb4 that part isn't canon
Kill yourself.

See: the page where Phinks says nen can remain after death
See also: Pitou's Dr Blythe acting on its own after Pitou's death
Both are exactly what happened with Hisoka. If you have proof it's against the rules then please post your sources as well.

>What was the effect that he activated before dying?
Holy fuck are you stupid or have you just not read this at all? The effect was "contract" and "expand", the things he mainly uses bungee gum for. He even says it outloud or thinks it, like against Gotoh. He put it around his heart and lungs so it'd give him CPR. Do i really have to explain that to you when it's in the picture of the OP?
If you wanted to whine about something whine about how convenient it was it worked after Shal and Kortopi left, not about the fact that it obeys long established concepts.

>See: the page where Phinks says nen can remain after death
Doesn't mean it triggers random shit if you say it just before dying.
>See also: Pitou's Dr Blythe acting on its own after Pitou's death
That's literally his ability that continued. I'm pretty sure the ability of rubber nor gum is to revive someone.

Man, you really are pushing it.
I will state again: he asked to the nen to activacte and contract and pull AFTER he was dead,
Ir was not a effect that was active and went crazy. that is the issue.
again using the logic in this work:
1- effect is active
2-user dies
3- effect gets stronger and wilder
with isoka
1- hey, listen nen. activate after i die
2- he dies
3- nen does something under the limits of user on demand.

See the difference?

>It did.
See, you're still being an idiot. Stop that.

>Doesn't mean it triggers random shit if you say it just before dying.
Then what does it mean if not "do the shit it did before dying"?
>I'm pretty sure the ability of rubber nor gum is to revive someone.
The ability of his bungee gum is to contract and expand at will. That's literally what it did around his heart, not just "revive someone".
I refuse to believe you are this retarded so i will assume that was bait and give you a single (You) out of doubt.

Nope, you're lierally ignoring Togashi's words. Stop that.

>The ability of his bungee gum is to contract and expand at will. It doesn't explain how it fixed his heart and lungs that were destroyed by the impulse of the explosion alone.

>his heart and lungs that were destroyed by the impulse of the explosion alone
They weren't you retard. He died from the suffocation, not organ damage.

No, you're literally twisting Togashi's words. Stop that.

>They weren't you retard. He died from the suffocation, not organ damage.
>gets explosive shit at point blank
>H-His body surely didn't take any real damage!
Seeing how his appearenace got fucked, this would be even worse writing

Read the Interview. Seems like you have no reading comprehension.

>The ability of his bungee gum is to contract and expand at will. It doesn't explain how it fixed his heart and lungs that were destroyed by the impulse of the explosion alone.
literally missed when the troupe confirmed Hisoka body was 'surprising intact'

>'surprising intact'
If that's true than it really is just trash writing. I see.

>3 - effect gets stronger and wilder
Like what? I mean i can understand stronger because that's what it did with Pitou and what they thought it did with Meleoron, but i don't know where you got "wilder" from.

Also, what would the effects of post-mortem be if not what the user intended before dying? Hisoka stuck his fingers in his chest and activated his ability before dying, and when post-mortem nen activated it did what it always did, contract and expand.

Practice what you preach m8.

>T-togashi didn't write it out like I would have
fucking kill yourself

Do you actually read this or did you just miss the entire page where they talk about how there were 200 people on top of Hisoka when the explosion took place so he was barely hurt by the explosion?

This thread is like a tree and every post is a different branch of autism.

How am I wrong?
>Author says he wants to work on an interlude for a chapter made by another mangaka in his own manga to connect the stories
>it's somehow not canon, although the interlude would make no sense alone
Fucktad.

When will Sup Forums learn to criticize writing properly instead of constantly resorting to crying about asspulls as the biggest crime in fiction? Thorough foreshadowing and setting precedent isn't the be all and end all of writing, and the impact is always more important.

At absolute worst, they are a symptom of a writer being out of ideas or written into a corner. That wouldn't even necessarily make it badly written- if the writer came up with an exciting, fun scene at the last minute, it would still be exciting and fun. But usually they only get to that point by being mediocre writers in the first place. In Togashi's case, he expanded slightly on an old nen concept which is already well established, and used a real medical procedure for the logical basis of a magical ability. It is obvious he did it for the sake of an interesting, unpredictable plot development rather than a lack of ideas. Regardless, anons struggle to analyze a story outside of superficial logical elements and use their knee jerk reactions to make judgments instead of thinking about it, because they are autists. That's why they wonder how a fucking superhuman doesn't die from loss of oxygen to the brain.

>deconstruction

I hate this meme

>Author has to make his favorite character extremely lucks to pull this shit off
Yeah, fantastic writing, isn't it

Seeing his body that doesn't make any sense

I said wilder in the sense that is really impossible to predict what would happen. As stated in Yorkshin.

About Hisoka the issue is that the nen was not active. If it was it would be detected by the spiders. He didnt try to contract his hearth before dying.

>body has no nose or lips
>"it makes no sense that his internal organs aren't fucked beyond functionning"
Did your mother drop you as a child or something

>How am I wrong?
Because I asked you to provide legit confirmation and you've given me nothing but your own conjecture that you're trying to pass off as proof to suit your own retarded argument.

I'm starting to think you might be have an extra chromosome.

>Because I asked you to provide legit confirmation
The interview between Ishida and Togashi. That's what we're talking about. This is the last (You) you'll get, because I'm pretty sure you know you're wrong, but are trying to save face.

In a sense, it was more about the missing link between the dead part and the ressurection.

If a dialog box mentioned that he created a tiny wire around his hearth hoping that it would get stronger after dying or something like that I would have no issues.

It is really how it was wrote that made me hate the chapter.

>About Hisoka the issue is that the nen was not active.
It was, it's why he stuck his fingers in his chest. Nen can also have delayed effects that work under certain conditions if that's what bothers you, like Ging's tape.

>Close enough to get his face blown off, pass out and actually die
>Lol xD it was just the outside of his body no biggie

Trying to explain writing 101 to Sup Forums is pointless, their knowledge begins and ends with what they learn from memes and YouTube reviewers (hence the fixation on "ASSPULL")

I have nothing to save face about, you're the one who can't back up what you say. I've already explained to you how nothing in the interview verifies your claim, it's not my fault if you're too stupid to comprehend it.

His face was the result of the other puppets attacking his head you dumb fuck, not the explosion
There were 200 people on top of him, do you realize how many that is?
They literally stated this, you are 100% retarded

post the page fucktard

>See also: Pitou's Dr Blythe acting on its own after Pitou's death
that was Terpsichora, Dr. Blythe was her surgery ability.

Don't blame the writing on your inability to follow a story geared towards teenagers you speed reading nigger, this shit was literally covered in the manga.

Literally the third page of that chapter you troglodyte, can you even read?

>can't post proof
Wew

>complain shifted from "he shouldn't be able to do shit after death" to "lol why his body not destroyed? shit writing shit writing"

What are you even trying to do?

Yes, but hisoka didn´t show any ability to that effect.

In a sense, it just feel rushed. There´s a couple of ways to make it work but it just don´t flow naturally with the narrative.

Note that when Pitou ressurrected after death it didn´t feel utterly rushed. That´s my main issue. it can be explained, even with a simple line of text.

But I´m glad that you understand my points. thank you.

Here you go retard
