A combination of depression, loneliness, porn and Sup Forums.

...

Sup Forums should have more meta threads, it has been said already.

...

Dragonball Z, like a real man

No, I hate Sup Forumsnons personally more than any other board's users, I don't need to hear about them.

Social isolation

...

Yet here you are.

orginal dragonball was on saturday morning cartoons way before it got mainstream. Used to be on 11am on saturdays for a short time.
Than ronin warriors was played on weekdays at 6 am then sailor moon and samurai pizza cats.

Got into dragonball z but it was the same ol episodes during the saiyan arc and got to see its finale through subbed vhs tapes.

Mexicans came over the wall and we got mexican dub that went way past the english dub on namek.

Finally saw a bunch of anime early saturday morning on the Sci Fi channel such as mars wars, lodoss (1st episode only), some vampire hunter d and then it maybe around the wildwest internet days when cable finally came you got to download it or watch those real media player rips. Used to be you could only get anime stuff from china town now you can get it from anywhere.

Somewhere in the middle you got burned playstation, saturn games in jap.

had a pretty bad start started with sword art online then went to one piece. afterwards i watched death-note, code geass, and finally found k-on

...

I wasn't a fan of Anime and hadn't watched very much of it to begin with but my friends all were so I decided to check it out and give it a shot.

Same as many others, random dubbed shit. First step into the deeper end was Ouran Host Club on youtube

>How did you fell into anime?

Here in Quebec, half the TV shows for kids were anime. Also I saw Nausicaa in 1989 or so. I was 6 and instantly hooked.

First it was cowboy bebop
now it's non non biyori repeat
I don't know where I went wrong, but why does everything wrong make me feel so right?

I just started watching them on TV.

watched toonami with my younger brother constantly when i was younger, inuyasha and one piece grew on me. then i stopped watching one piece and got obsessed with inuyasha and then slipped into the pit of weeb.

SoL is best genre.

inuyasha had a great soundtrack thats for sure. Everything else was meh imo.

Was interested in boobs.
Find a manga with boobs.
Decides to check the anime.
Boom got hooked.

Fox Box on Saturday mornings showed One Piece, Shaman King, Fighting Foodons, Ultimate Muscle, Sonic X, and other shit like that.

Samurai Pizza Cats when I was 5.

reminds me of the manga they use to import at the local bookstore.
bought one because animu but it was all black and white
I was thoroughly confused and disappointed at the time
you had a more practical use of manga
SoL is just deceptively 'honest'
It's something we yearn for

i dunno why i find samurai pizza cats similar to MXC game show dub.

I really enjoy barakamon and non non.

Kind of wish there was a SoL cooking show. Its interesting to learn about the "daily life". That one food porn SoL was okay but not scientific enough for me.

dick first

Because MXC added a dub in the re-edit with game show hosts that weren't in the original, and Samurai Pizza Cats (and Ghost Stories) were both sent overseas without an original script. The similarities you're sensing is probably some in-studio fuckery the Americans came up with.

Amaama to Inazuma is airing this season.

i was curious

i'll check it out.

I started with Naruto.

when i was 6 i started watching digimon

so also social isolation

Watched Cardcaptor Sakura when I was little. I later got into Naruto when it began airing.

This.
Fuck
Did a presentation on it in school.
souma ecchi stuff get's annoying
>tfw don't cook enough
team up with me user plz

Yuru Yuri changed my taste more than any show. I have to watch every yuribaiting/SoL i can find nowdays.

CCS had really great animation.

not that one. The one a season before it. Had really crazily detailed food drawn. All girls SoL bout food.

>dont cook enough.

once i get my useless degree paper i'll probably just become a dishwasher at some dirty chinese place and work my way up.

That was Yuyushiki for me.

>you'll never run a lone ramen shop, heaving the junk around the neon streets at night and hosting weird walks of life with your own recipes
what about Yuri Yuri caused such a shift?
is the yuribaiting that good?

No one's making you stay, Sup Forums-kun.

to be honest I prefered okasan more than anything.

>The one a season before it.
Also known as the anime with the best next episode preview of all time.

Holy shit, kill yourself, newfag. Anyone who started with fucking Sword Art Online of all things is ten years away from having watched enough anime to post here, not even considering how few years this means you must have lurked for. When you're this fucking new, don't fucking admit it openly like you're an equal partner to the community here.

With sound because TABERU~

I'm far from new (which you will probably try to dismiss with a sarcastic witty statement) but holy shit calm your fucking fedora.

A friend showed me the Hare Hare Yukai in 2009 for some reason, I asked what it was from, and he told me it was from Haruhi so I started to watch it.

FIN

i want that food anthropologist from good eats to lecture me about why the japs serve corn as a side with steak.

I'm fully aware of how autistic my post came out sounding and I don't care, people whose first anime was a series that started airing in the 2010s need to be told off. This board was as good as it was conparitavely because it expected people to actually have watched at least several hundred anime and to be knowlegable about the genre before opening their mouths. There are enough latter-day gaias on the internet with faggots who haven't even seen the most entry-level shit like death note yet, Sup Forums doesn't need to become another one of them. If you're as ridiculously new to anime as you claim you are, you really shouldn't be here, for this board's sake. Your local high school anime club would probably be far more fitting for your level of expertise.

As autistic as this is, elitism is there for quality discussion.
If I don't know an anime name-dropped, I pick it up and watch it, or read wiki about it, or just move on to other threads.
It would be interesting to have an imageboard and grow with it though, in terms of tastes. But Sup Forums is already endgame - you better fucking be end game if you want to have a good time.

I don't know if you're arguing with me or trying to agree with me, because it sounds like we're basically saying the same thing about how Sup Forums should be elitist. Maybe I'm just too primed to read any reply to a post as someone telling them why they're wrong.

I can't get into anime, the worst thing is that i've tried really hard to the point that it's sad

i binge watched Sayonara zetsubou sensei, AoT and Bakemonogatari but i just couldn't get myself to "enjoy" them, at some points it even felt like i was forcing myself to keep watching

I ended up liking cartoons instead so maybe i just have normie standards as far as animation goes

If you don't watch anime, then why the hell are you posting on this board, you fucking faggot?

Can't understand that

Cartoons are sub-par anime, watch Nichijou and Panty & Stocking or even Space Dandy

I agree, just latching on to your rant

Read a volume of Love Hina in a Wherehouse.

Here's your same

Had too much free time in my hands for being a loner in high school so I started browsing the internet a lot. Eventually I stumbled onto Sup Forums and then onto anime.

I don't regret anything.

Accurate.

%100

I had a crush on a 3D girl who loved anime so I started watching it so I could talk about it with her.

Then I started liking 2D girls more than her and now I'm here.
