I work in Ophthalmology.
Any glasses can have what is called a Fresnel Prism to the lens. A fresnel prism is a sticker that is applied to one lens of a person's glasses to help prevent double vision, what we call diplopia. It will not prevent seizures. All it is truely conclusive of is that at once point she was having double vision for some reason, and we know this was after her lengthy hospita visit for a brain injury. This is seemingly the cause of the double vision. There are pics of her during a senate hearing where the pictures clearly show her wearing glasses that have a Fresnel prism on them.
It looks like her face pins came loose and she's about to unmask, inadvertently revealing her true form.
I stand corrected. I looked up the photos, and instead of just using the 5 dollar sticker that works just fine, she paid extra (like 500 bucks) to have the fresnel prism built into the lens.. probably because she thought it would be less noticable to the public than the cheaper sticker version.
I think she still had some of her face pins in, since she had just gotten on the plane after an event in that shot. This is what it looks like when they wake her up in the middle of the night to comment on a terror attack, and she's still too out of it to feel whether or not her face pins are in.

there are alternatives.. such as more expensive lenses, or even surgery if the patient is inclined the condition calls for such treatment. double vision can sometimes have underlying neurological cause, or it could just be your eyes are not straight ahead (what we call ortho), or something else with the eyes

a fresnel prism is unique, but normal prisms in optometry are used to actually move the eye's placement.. like if you have one crooked eye, we'll use a prism in your glasses to make your eye more straight forward looking. but that sort of prism is different from a Fresnel prism, which is what hillary was using. If she has a prism in her glasses to correct amblyopia (crooked or lazy eye) if is impossible to see unless it is a very strong prism, or you view the glasses under a lensometer. another way to tell is that the patient will return to crossed eyed, lazy eyed, etc when not wearing the glasses, but have straight ahead eyes when the glasses are on.
