>Reminder that what christianity did to the Roman Civilization is the same thing communism/democracy is doing to christianity
really makes me think

Christianity's main negative impact on Rome was to increase civil strife since the different branches of Christians hated each other so much.

Also it had a POSITIVE impact on Rome's enemies the German barbarians. Before Christianity the Germans were much more apt to slaughter each other but it actually made them less INTERNALLY violent.

>reminder the crisis of the third century was resolved and led to the first Christian empire

Pretty much. Even the civil strife aspect is overstated. Roman Empire declined for much more substantial reasons- barbarian control over the army, rich estates not giving men over for military service and not providing tax revenues, control of army over emperor, etc.

Actually, by the time the West fell, Christianity was a unitive factor where the empire had been fracturing along cultural/linguistic/ethnic lines.

Remember that and Luke 6:31 when you're destroying their places of worship, ridicule their religious leaders and kill them if they don't convert in the near future. Mashallah.

t. I have never read Marx

fuck off commie

Nope,nice try satan
>its always Christianity's fault
Rome fell because it was already rotting from the inside

Christianity helped preserve what was left of the Empire.

kys scirptfaggot

>muh Rome

>Because what's Byzantine Empire

kys faggot

fucking degenerates

Rome was a degenerate, multicultural hell. It was the EU/USSR of the ancient world. Christianity saw the rise of nation states and Europe's greatest political, economic, and social era.

>Rome fell because it was already rotting from the inside

As if some kind of cancer was spreading to through its organs

Christianity IS communism though.

ya I know.
Or at least, similar.

we will ride the tiger soon, I believe.

Technically, Europe was relatively stagnant at best and regressing in many parts up until people started distancing themselves from Christianity. The Renaissance for example began in comparatively secular Northern Italy when the educated started reading the Pre-Christian classics from Ancient Rome and Greece. The Northern Italian city-states were only relatively secular in comparison to the other nations around Europe because they were republics that didn't require Divine Right as an excuse to maintain order. The turning point for Northern Europe occurred with the Reformation, destroying the old ideological constraints of the Church. The Enlightenment that followed was just an extension and secularization of the Reformation. In this way, the rise of European civilization corresponded with the fall of centralized Christianity.

Cicero and Ennius both wrote on the decline of Rome before Christ. The degeneration of roman morals accompanied the increasing craving for worldly power and for the enjoyment of obscene ceremonies in honour of divinities such as the goddess Caelestis and the lewd Mother Flora.

>‘If they only had sense, they would see that the hardships and cruelties they suffered from the enemy came from that Divine Providence who makes use of war to reform the corrupt lives of men’.
-St Augustine, The City of God

>Believes that republics are democracies

never said nor imply that

Reminder that Roman Paganism co-opted Christian aesthetic and became Catholicism.
Catholic Babylon is Satan's crowning achievement.
