it's not a scheme, the US government panel respectively oversaw a business deal between CANADIAN OWNED Uranium One and a Russian business the uranium is not allowed to leave US territory, the only thing that happened is the Russian's acquired a Canadian organization that owned some uranium there is nothing nefarious about it. this is a non-scandal

This is a made-up propaganda story. It was Canada's uranium. Canada wanted to sell it to Russia but US had right of first refusal. The US didn't need the uranium because aging nuclear plants are going offline. So the US signed off on it, no big deal.
