It's really not that hard to get away with right wing stuff on discord. It's best to have many small servers in a loosely connected network spanning several groups, each with small numbers of overlapping membership, than it is to have one big one. That way if one goes down it doesn't take us all out. We share information between servers so we're all on the same page without the risk that we'll all become disconnected if one of us is taken out. Small servers fly under the radar.

I would rather advocate for having thousands or hundreds of thousands of small groups in a loosely connected network that way we can't easily be taken down. We keep in touch and coordinate principles, agreeing on stances and strategy, but we should have separate chapters with the ability to act locally, de-centralized and independent, but generally in agreement on the goals and tactics.

We do need coordination. Imagine this for a moment if you will: one thousand right-wing servers, each with 10 or 20 active members sharing information and ideas. Each individual member of one server is also a member of 5 or 10 other servers, so that although not every individual is a member of every server, every server has members that form the real connections with every other server. See what I'm saying? When breaking news comes out, or when important announcements are made, the links and information and memes are passed along through these connections. That way we're all on the same page, but if one server goes down it doesn't take us all out at once and we maintain our connectivity. Did I explain this properly? Lemme know, it's just an idea I've been thinking on.

We will get through this, but not without a fight. I think each individual should start their own server, add 10 to 20 active members, and also become a member on 5 other servers so that we're all loosely connected in a de-centralized but coordinated network. That way no one server gets too big to fail, they all fly under the radar, and if one does get taken down we don't all get taken out at once.

If you only have one website and it gets taken down you lose everything. What's your backup plan if that happens? If you've got 100 servers, some big perhaps but mostly 10 or 20 or 50 users, with each user being a member of 5 or 10 other servers, then you've got yourself a network that is far more difficult to take out all at once. Information travels through the network and if one server goes down then it's not so devastating to the movement overall. Also it fosters the ability to develop closer ties to the people you're interacting with, because the groups are smaller, without sacrificing the ability to coordinate across larger numbers. You can't really have a relationship with 500,000 people, and if 500,000 people are all on the same server it won't function very well and if it got taken down then you're all screwed at once. You can, however, bond with 10 or 20 people in your own main server, lurk and share information across multiple servers in your network, and in the event of a meetup or coordinated action you can communicate and cooperate across vast numbers without getting lost in a sea of strangers you only relate to in an abstract sort of way.
