Nel's was a mistake. She didn't get much attention. She didn't win. She couldn't have won. Kubo didn't write her in soon enough or get her to be a major character later on. The teasing at her potentially loving strawberry was all for nothing. Overall it was just wasted potential.

It's not about quality, it's about archetypes. Rukia is the Bulma/Botan/Sakura of Bleach. Orihime is the Chichi/Keiko/Hinata of Bleach. Learn to understand basic literary theory.
