i hate to break it to you, but this sounds like downtown in a big american city. thats a scary place, if you dont watch your back or keep to yourself you can find yourself in whole lots of trouble. there's a alot of fun to be had, don't get me wrong, but it's the most competitive atmosphere i've experienced. people don't realize it but it's pissing contest, tread carefully in a big US city or it will eat you alive.

Brazil is one of the most economically isolated countries on the planet. That's why everyone is desperate for a couple of pennies. There are almost no opportunities or stable jobs in this entire fucking country.
