Makoto's Shinkai's masterpiece hits theaters in Japan in 3 days.
Who else here got a chance to see it at Anime Expo?

It was a pretty great movie desu
Biggest hack in the industry.
It was probably his best work to be honest.
>biggest fag in the thread
finds a whey
Oh look another lame """love story""" wrapped in traced backgrounds and digital lighting to make it look "stunning" and "photo realistic."
I really do NOT like this guy's style. I know I'm supposed to be in awe of the pastel colored backgrounds but something about every single one of his movies feels lifeless.
I love 5 centimeters per second. I can't wait to see
this movie!! :D
>implying you've seen it
Mitsuha is top cute.
Waifu of the year.
Too bad she was an old and busted Christmas cake in the ending.
Another pretty slide-show with insubstantial drama.
I wish I could give less fucks, but that would mean I'd have to give negative fucks, which I think the double negatives will cancel each other out resulting in me actually giving a fuck.
So I guess I should just be content with giving 0 fucks.
>forced retardation
>forced separation
>forced death
>forced amnesia
Bravo Shinkai, you couldn't find a more contrived drama if you tried.
So what's the wallpaper per second stat on this movie?
>forced argument
>forced usage of the word forced
Bravo Faggot-kun.
Spoilers incoming.
The girl died three years ago.
The boy's spirit has been traveling back in time by exactly three years every time they bodyswapped.
When the girl dies in her time the bodyswaps stop happening.
When the boy tries to find out what happened he discovers the truth and starts forgetting everything about the girl, including her name
He's left staring at her hairtie in his hand, wondering why it seems to familiar.
Saved you an hour of your life, you can thank me later.
Off the charts.

What is the story about?
How love never prevails and that life will inevitably ruin everything so it's best to just go with the flow because after all it can't be helped.
Memes.
A BOY
is tenmon doing the music?
...
I don't even know what's real or fake when it comes to this anymore.
It's literally bending reality.
So every Shinkai movie ever ? (Except Garden of Words)
Yep. It's pretty stale at this point.
But love does prevail in the end.
The movie is also very much about NOT going with the flow. They literally commit acts of terrorism for fuck's sake.
This meme is getting beyond cancerous.
Regardless of how the story turns out, it's going to be Shinkai's first legitimately well-animated film.
It has the likes of Ei Inoue, Hideki Hamasu, Atsuko Tanaka, Kauchika Kise, Hiroyuki Okiura, and Norio Matsumoto among the key animation staff.
Watched it at AX.
It had an incredibly troll ending. It's extremely 5 Centimeters per Second esque and tries it's hardest to convince you the characters will never meet again through multiple successive cockblocks lifted straight out of his other movies but they end up together in the end anyways.
young one, ever meme is cancerous
You can says it's so demo sagashite iru yo

Is this Sup Forums's baneposting?
Oh look another movie set in highschool...... fuck this shit
It's certainly as cancerous and unfunny
Hate to break it to you but 90% of anime is in high school

What, you don't like long drawn-out conversations with sparse dialogue interspersed with shots of the surroundings?
Even nepgear finds a way.
If that's true, a way better take on an amnesia-based dramatic story [If anybody cares about seeing a similar concept done right] would be the Toumei Ningen no Tsukurikata manga
Did it find a way?
