So I'm guessing that at some point Subaru will have it fight either the Dragon or Shaula, because he is going to save Satella and only possible way I'd say is by freeing her then doing something what I don't expect anyone to let him that close, let alone unseal the being they couldn't kill and that destroyed half the world.
I'd also expect Echidna to turn bad at some point as the way she only cares about results and even is nicknamed "black heart/witch" because of her little caring she has, not only she's very manipulative.

As a Rem-fag, I honestly don't mind what's going to happen to her at the end of the arc. With how her character was progressing, the only two options were for him to give up on Emilia and run away with Rem (which we got), or for her character to devolve into a mindless yes-man. I prefer the former, yet that would end the series right there, so I think becoming fuel for the protagonist to achieve greater things is just fine.

I am simultaneously annoyed and impressed that Subaru is holding onto his grudge against that knight (Julias or something?). Redemption isn't like flipping a switch. You don't become a new man overnight. Even with all his character development that led him to this episodes heroics, Subaru has his flaws and must work through them. So long as he actually does fucking work through it. A lesser show would be tempted to take the easy route and have the new Subaru able to let it go in an instant. It really says something about this show that, even after such a huge and epic battle, they go out of their way to show that the protagonists struggles against the worst parts of his own nature is still a much harder fight then any giant demon whale of doom.

Every episode I'm floored by how good this show is. It's amazing they're able to keep this series this consistently good. Like every now and then there's bits that are less amazing than others but it's like the smallest issues typically. If you asked me at the end of last season (episode 12 or whatever) if I thought the second season could be this much better than what was already incredibly good I would have been very skeptical. Chrush has consistently become a better and better character despite starting at an already high level. Honestly considering what little we've actually seen Emelia do, Chrush seems like a pretty ideal leader for the kingdom. I don't think we'll get it this season but I'm going to need a lot of convincing to support Emelia as leader. Then there's just the fact that I constantly think of Lyn from Fire Emblem every time I see her character, especially with the ponytail. I hope Emelia gets a lot of time to shine in the last few episodes because holy crap I feel like I could care less and Subaru's devotion to her is honestly just annoying and seems pretty shortsighted at this point. Rem is pushed as such an amazing character consistently to such an incredibly level. Speaking of Rem...as someone who's suppose to be significantly weaker than Ram (assuming Ram had her horn) holy crap I can't imagine how strong Ram would be after seeing Rem go crazy in this fight. I just hope Rem doesn't get the whole mental link/feeling thing from Ram when they're fighting the witch's cult and try to rush over and get herself hurt again. As much as I honestly thought Wilhelm was going to actually die he not only didn't but ended up being even

I'm going to be optimistic about Subaru and Julius working things out considering all that was just achieved. Plus we have Felix here to hopefully keep them calm if anything happens. I feel the need to mention that I feel like cutting down Yggdrasil is totally going to come back and become a problem at some point in the distant future...you can't just go cut down the tree of life! Baseless speculation...I'm putting my money on Roswaal being "pride". Nobody knows who it is supposedly but he's clearly powerful, has some experience and knowledge of the witch's cult (saved the twins from their attack), has a vast library of forbidden knowledge, has something against the Dragon (who fought the witch) and his personality/looks could go along with being the opposite of what you might think of as "pride". Rant about the fact that we only have 4 episodes left and it'll be years before we potentially have another season of this show or have more novels past the ending translated (fan translation or official)
