Neo Sup Forums the thread incoming. Time for another season of completely fucking ignoring anything that isn't Kyoani/Shaft/White Fox Memeing 2016. What an industry! Hell what a fanbase! Such Choice!

3Hz or XEBEC

Go to Reddit if you don't like it

I literally haven't even heard of the middle show. Barely know anything about nor do I give a shit about the other two though I have at least heard of them. Pretty sure one is actually an OVA on a monthly release schedule though that'll probably have the animation quality of an average TV show because OVA's are just something companies do for commercial reasons now and which used to take 3-6 months usually for more than a TV episodes worth of content on a disc. What a boring memetically mandated discussion to have here with these three shows so no doubt Sup Forums will be all over this shit for the entire fucking season. Fake as shit cynical fanbase, dying ass medium basically.

Sunrise.

>Mememememememememestuffstuffstuffstuffshitthathastogetsaidatleastonceperthread

Translated this into it's actually meaning for the sake of others.

I don't know, but I like these studios so I hope all of the shows are great. Most excited for Hibike since I know what it is about and I liked the first season.

Silver Link.

i dunno, but the one on the right is shit.

Feels like I've been waiting for hibike S2 for a decade

KyoAni. Hibike is already confirmed great and they have Koe no Katachi.

Zaregoto being an OVA is a plus, but there is no staff listing yet.

The magical girl one is original so who knows.

Do you think the original Sup Forums posters could have comprehended that in 2016 the people that posted here would literally only pay attention to 2.5 studios paint by numbers commercial bullshit output? One that's a slave to Bandai Namco's music wing and the other a slave to Sony's music wing....as in the two companies that work together with Kadokawa to ensure that they thoroughly dominate everything to do with the industries decision making.

Irrelevant I guess. Not even considered beyond maybe Sunrises parent company which people just see as Kyoani handling everything because they are wilfully ignorant as fuck.

Middle one is White Fox's first original production.

I've got a better idea, how about you go to Reddit and tell that community how awesome you think you are and I stay here and tell you why you really just aren't and then we'll compare results later on

Lerche.

Screencap this.

>Kyoani
>Paint by numbers

Lol

Probably why I haven't heard of it. It's probably just another Aniplex or Lantis shill thing to sell some music like virtually all TV original anime anyway judging by the inclusion of Sphere so why should I be excited for it at all?

Anyway just checked the website and yeah Sphere(Lantis/Sony Seiyuu Idol Group)+Tatsuya Katou(Lantis composer)+Yosuke Kuroda (Bandai Visual content writer) confirms it as Lantis before I even need to look at the fact that they're listed for music production. The only reason I suspected Aniplex is because there's some sort of weird back door sharing thing between them and Lantis for this particular act.

Lantis usually means heavy yuri emphasis by the way, just figured I'd give fair warning. So basically we're looking at two Lantis productions and an Aniplex OVA and fuck me that's a lot of commercialism that people are apparently looking the most forward too.

They're literally going to do whatever Lantis tells them to do with the sequel cause they do otherwise it's by by convenient music and voice cast supplier. Kyoani cannot do this shit on their own, they need the Lantis and Pony Canyon bucks.

Anyway it's going to be weird having True forced onto the second season for the theme song by Lantis. Don't get me wrong I think she's awesome, just not at all a fit for this franchise. She's more like fast upbeat idol tempos.

White Fox has literally the worst magical girl of a season with like, 6 magical girls.

Like others have said the question should really be who is going to win Fall season 2016 financially, Bandai or Aniplex and the answer is simply yes just like every other season.

Well White Fox has already swept Swing and Summer with Re:Zero, so it's looking bleak for SHAFT and Kyoani.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daisuki_(website)

It's kind of hard to win over the other when you're literally working together with the other big anime corporations to monopolize and streamline every single aspect of the industry. Poor working class studios like Kyoani, Shaft and White Fox don't get to join the super elite producers club but Toei, TMS and Sunrise that own their own character brand copyrights and have been around since the 70's do. Should have founded your companies earlier I guess cause you already missed the gravy boat.

Sorry though I just have to continue to laugh derisively at the idea of a White Fox original. White Fox could never afford to bank roll an original to the degree that they would be on top of any sort of production committee.

myanimelist.net/anime/producer/104/Lantis?page=1

Lantis/Bandai backed originals have been super hit or miss lately which I guess is better than the nowadays virtually guaranteed godawful of the likes of say Aniplex. Either you get GuP or Love Live and the like or you get Glasslip and Comet Lucifer. People couldn't possibly more underestimate the degree of influence this company has in the industry and how much doesn't get made if they aren't throwing money around, probably for the best really.

Fuck me I wish people would pay more attention to production committees than studios, it's just so much more relevant in how anime is actually going to turn out since they're the real decision makers while studios just get credited with doing the animation.

Way to ruin the fun assholes. Can't you just let me pretend like Studios are actually competing entities, and not a monopolized industry?

Literally WHO in the middle?

I gotta remind myself to call the middle one a YuYuYu ripoff just to piss off everyone, from Yuushafags trying to not look idiotic like Madokafags to fans of the show who will be naturally angry.

What do you think?

DEEN

3Hz OUTTA NOWHERE

Nah. After making Sup Forums endure months of shitty studiowars of the terribly unfunny kind, it's more fun now to force the studiowarriors to admit that they're just dumbasses who know nothing about the entire industry.

>Neo Sup Forums

Production I.G or Xebec

You realize all you're gonna do is make people started doing Aniplex vs Lantis which is even worse. It'll be like the Disney vs WB wars on Sup Forums.

Screencap this for the le induhpendent kyoanus coven.

How's lantis slavery treating you?

Those megacorps are so distanced from us mortals, we simply cannot comprehend them.

Also, of course Disney is better. Disney is the best. Fuck Warner Bros. for being assholes about Babylon 5.

Is there some special event Shaft is waiting for to release a trailer for 3 Gatsu?

the wait is making me nervous

If you keep pushing this, I'll legitimately start an Aniplex vs Lantis thread. You don't want to be responsible for destroying Sup Forums do you? Let people enjoy their studio wars and have fun.

>shaft powerpoint shit
>white fox madoka QUALITY rip off
>kyoani yuri moeshit

Not watching any of those to be honest

I'm all for it, man.

I assume the six following shows are considered Fall 2016 magical girl series? Correct me please if I'm wrong.
>Brave Witches
>Flip Flappers
>Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku
>Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara
5 minute short-form anime
>Shuumatsu no Izetta
>Vivid Strike
In addition to White Fox's
>Soushin Shoujo Matoi

Just know that you are a bad person and I hope you feel bad after Sup Forums is reduced to a megacorporation circlejerk.

With Rakugo, Konosuba and Sakamoto, this can actually happen, tho.

People already have no fucking clue about how anime studios work.
And you think anybody will understand the entirety of Sony vs Bandai?
Fool.
>souleaterexcalibur.jpg
I do by the way not endore Aniplex with the mention of the a Soul Eater-character.
Or do I?

3-Gatsu is very likely to be the best anime this year, so I'll go with SHAFT.

They will understand after I post a thread about it every day. You have ruined Sup Forums's purity. I hope you're happy.

Every day until we like it?
You will never succeed.

White who?

I'll actually do it, don't underestimate my autism.

>Sup Forums's purity

I was counting Precure too since it is still airing. Idk if Brave Witches is considered MG or if a short is considered a fulltime show.

Eitherway, very packed month for the genre, I don't even know why, if it was a reaction to Yuki Yuna and Symphogear selling well it would have been a bit earlier.

>Zaregoto being an OVA is a plus, but there is no staff listing yet.
It has a Yuki Kajiura soundtrack already confirmed. That's good enough.
zaregoto-series.com/audio/bgm.mp3

Well, the brave witches are girls that use magic to transform themselves into kemomusumes, so it seems kinda fitting.

BEST GIRL IS BACK

>Zaregoto instead of Sangatsu no Lion
C'mon senpai step it up

Sup Forums is a virgin, don't bully

Lemme tell you if there's a show that's gonna bomb, its gonna be the show where girls play brass instruments nonstop.

yup, the last madogatari event

An empty threat. You will quickly give up just like that "mai-hime demands your veneration"-poster.

>madogatari

That name triggers me. It's like SHAFT doesn't want to acknowledge its history at all.

In a college debate class, a Madofag and a YYYfag were debating which was the best mahou shoujo.

"Why can't Yucky Tunashitters just accept their show is a convenience store-tier ripoff?" said the Madofag.

"Why can't Madoshitters just admit their show is a ripoff of Kamen Rider Ryuki?" said the Yuunafag.

Just then a valiant White Foxfag, who had bought over 9000 pieces of Steins;Gate and Gochiusa merch and fully understood the necessity of Re:Zero, stood up and held up an anime promo image.

"What mahou shoujo is this?" he asked.

"It's from either Madoka S2 or one of the spinoff mangas," said the Madofag.

"No, it's from YYY's OVA or a spinoff manga," said the Yuunafag.

"Wrong! This is the promo for Shoushin Shoujo Matoi, the new mahou shoujo series from based White Godfox, and thy new goddesses!"

The crowd erupted in cheers. Sphere's "My Only Place" was sung fervently, even though only snippets of the song are available. Tippy the rabbit hopped into the room and shed two single tears of coffee and gween tea.

The Madofag and the Yuunafag were both expelled the next day. The Madofag died when he was eaten by Charlotte, and the Yuunafag became a vegetable.

I guess to be somewhat fair Aniplex vs Bandai vs Kadokawa doesn't sound as interesting (and I use the term "interesting" extremely loosely here and strictly in the context of Sup Forums's bullshit) a discussion as simplified Kyoani vs. Shaft vs. White Fox shittery. You'd essentially be talking about three companies that might as well be the exact same thing and are so in bed with each other it's practically impossible to look at the three of them as separate entities anymore. You kind of lose the illusion of a competition when you make it about conglomerates one of which does the print publishing, one of which does the big elaborate anime disc releases and one of which does the game and merchandise releases for multimedia clusterfuck projects, but really they all do a little bit of all as well.

lantis.jp/release-item/LASX-8035.html
amazon.co.jp/sphere-music-story-DREAMS-Blu-ray/dp/B01CYHG26M

Just to give an example of this, try to figure out what company actually owns the publishing rights to the Sphere VA idol group because as far as I can tell it's somehow both Lantis and Sony Music Entertainment at the same time for even the same products. Like somebody please explain to me how their latest concert BD can be listed on Amazon as being published by Aniplex despite having a Lantis product code (LASX) but listed on Billboard-Japan as Lantis with the exact same fucking product code? Which is it or are they apparently the same company now Japan like fuck?

Sup Forums suddenly giving a shit about daytime NHK anime just cause of Shaft memeing. Really sincere stuff there as always Sup Forums, I truly believe you give a shit about this medium at all.

Yuki Kajiura isn't even worth shit anymore except to dumb hype kid teenagers. She's clearly just a name that gets pushed around to get niwaka otaku excited about shit they otherwise might not give as much of a damn about same as SHAFT and anybody else affiliated with this anime. People don't even attempt to properly vet her soundtracks anymore or compare them to her other stuff, they just see her name and go through the motions of this self-fulfilling prophecy that it's the most amazing shit ever. Literally just more of the modern anime communities meaningless drivel it spouts on a daily basis.

The amazing bit is that the pasta is right about the MC being our new goddess.

>Has the power of the gods
>Doesn't go Jesus mode
>Doesn't become disabled
How can others even compete?

>Sup Forums c. 1960

Disney

- Started their own publishing company (Buena Vista)
- Became a major Hollywood player solely based on animation and not piggybacking on 3DPD studios
- Revolutionized the production of animation with the multiplane camera
- Opened an amusement park based on their kino
- Their animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston literally wrote the book on animation principles which learning animators literally study

Is there anything they can't do? Are the other studios even trying?

I can't help but notice that the two composers that obviously teenage fanboys that just started watching anime with absurdly hyped up stuff like Fate, Madoka and Aldnoah/Zero talk up and obsess over the most in Sawano and Kajiura are both affiliated with Sony Music Entertainment/Aniplex and pushed fucking HARD by them particularly post 2013. It just feels so manufactured and planned out by their publicity machines that it's always about these two (kind of like how Shaft vs. Aniplex feels so obviously planned out by shitposters) and like they'd never be as popular without the internet, massive publicity and tie-up campaigns and twitter millenials to propagate this idea of them as infallible god like composers always putting in the maximum effort and churning out amazing and distinct soundtracks that will stand the test of time. I don't even see people attempt to analyze anything these two do either or point out favorite tracks and why they like them, it's always just something something Sawano da God or rabblerabblerabble Yuki Kajiura so at least I know the soundtrack will be amazing and will be watching etc. etc. Same old insincere bullshit you know, as if people don't even like or appreciate their music and just want to fit in with what is all just a Sony orchestrated marketing ploy at the end of the day. They could make millenials claim to unconditionally adore just about any hack in any staff position if they're willing to market pivot enough.

Do it please.

Is that guy doing wall of texts replying to himself?

Paragraphs are your friend, buddy.
Use them to make your block of texts a little bit more readable.

At least Kajiura only popped up again very recently this year and next; Sawano on the other hand worked 4 or more projects a year over the last few years to a point where it's ridiculous.

Just ignore him.

desuarchive.org/a/thread/145946322/#145946322

I actually have stocks in Disney. Fucking ESPN is being a fucking drag their profits though. They're otherwise unmatched in the movie making business though by buying the rights the Marval and Pixar.

Also Star Wars.

Realistically speaking, DogaKobo with Swordsluts.

Wow the dude is really 100% rustled

Does The Walt Disney Company still produce anime in Japan? I only know about that Stitch-remake and the Fireball CG-anime.

She's the second most obviously pushed composer by them after Sawano and probably doing the music for that A-1 looking Izetta thing too so she's not that underutilized

Ignore all bad people that say bad things about dear Sony. Sup Forums would fucking love you buddy.

I have a better idea lets ignore you and your lets not consider other peoples points because I say so and who the fuck am I and literally what am I offering instead schtick. Let's all just stick our heads up our asses and sing Cruel Angel Thesis' or JIBUN WOOOOOOO while we're at it like good little Sup Forums posters.

...

Doubt it since Ghibli shut down and that's the only outfit in Japan remotely respectable enough to fit into their catalog. They do release their movies through Walt Disney Japan though and it's hilarious how much mainstream Japan (aka those dreaded normies that are actually quite pleasant people despite what Sup Forums says about them surprise surprise) prefers their animation to its own output. Staggering difference really.

Now that's what I call saying generalized memetic shit that doesn't mean anything and low content low effort posting.

...

I attribute that to the grass-is-greener-on-the-other-side attitude, where people want to see what other people on the other side of the world are interested in so that they feel like they are part of the world.
Then again, Disney really is making big kaboosh, and their stuff does tend to be popular for a reason.

>Disney really is making big kaboosh, and their stuff does tend to be popular for a reason.

They make bland and anti-art schlock that normalfags eat up.

lmaoing at this thread senpaitachi

>probably doing the music for that A-1 looking Izetta thing too so she's not that underutilized
I thought that was the Yuuki Yuuna studio that was doing that? Probably Monaca doing the music for that too.

Do you really fucking think a studio is going to make another magical girl show with the same character designer and the same soudtrack group? If that was the case they might as well reveal that Kishi is at the helm and that Izetta is the prequel to the prequel to the prequel of Yuki Yuna. (This is just a joke though, it is not.)

They're too fabulous for you.

I don't know the character design looks A-1 as all fuck and it just seems like the kind of thing they'd do because why should any original that looks like that be by anyone else and have a hope of not being complete shit in 2016. Like fuck me I might actually watch it if it turns out to be literally anyone else cause Shochiku can produce some halfway decent stuff while A-1 sure as hell has proven it can maybe do one halfway tolerable thing for every 10 things it crap out because the license is popular

I honestly don't know why they haven't just come out and said it's A-1 with Kajiura already since in Japan that actually makes your shit highly marketable since for some inexplicable reason they actually seem to think A-1 is the best studio out there. God knows people just keep throwing their biggest hit franchises at them for adaptation and everybody seems to want to get A-1 to do their blockbuster originals too lately. They're also among the most likely things to sell decent copy no matter how shitty it looks again for some reason possibly owing to Japanese brand loyalty I can't really comprehend in the wake of all the shit they've crapped out recently.

>Zaregoto OVA
Nah

Probably because it sounds nothing like Kajiura.

youtube.com/watch?v=BvmqDo-8Hlg
youtube.com/watch?v=IKiZwmbxOnA

The annoying chanting does but the accompaniment admittedly throws thing into question. Its not exactly like Kajiura plus A-1 would be an unusual combination and considering this looks and sounds like something they would do its reasonable why that assumption has been made. It really is weird that they haven't announced the staff and cast which is why I'm almost half expecting them to spring Urobuchi writing and Tomohiko Ito directing on us or something on us for hyping purposes. Only real outlier here is Shochiku which usually works with old school companies like I.G, Madhouse, Sunrise etc but maybe they've seen the influence the Aniplex system has over Modern otaku and are switching affiliations to the rest of the industries apparent all Aniplex/A-1 all the time for any original they're trying to sell in sur-5K amounts strategy

The studio wars will never be the same anymore.

Silver Link.

20th Century Fox.

Anime wise?
I.G with Haikyuu
or Shuuka with Natsume

Shaft & Kyoani can win the most cancerous thread, though. I give you that.

Daily reminder them everything that matters for TMS is either owned by Disney or Warner Bros.

Almost everything TMS did for Warners is out on DVD by now, please go buy them.

...
