My dad has a mostly complete vhs collection of dragonball z and a couple of Dragon ball. So at a very young age I've been watching anime. He had all of them on a rack and each tape had a segment of a picture, so having several tapes of the same arc would make a complete image.

My dad watched a lot of fist of the north star/dragon ball with me and my brothers because he liked to pretend he was into martial arts.

I watched a Miyazaki movie early on, but that wasn't really what did it.

TechTV aired Lain and Dual Saga sometime around 2003, and I was hooked. Mostly from the former.

Dunno. I've been watching it since I was a wee lad. Like 4y/o or something.

Sailor moon was probably the first anime I saw or maybe pokemon, whichever came out first

Insert Blogpost about my first anime expirience making me gay

My first anime were Digimon, Pokemon and Yugioh as a kid. i started getting into watching anime online back in the glory days of youtube when they didn't remove shit for copyright, there was someone who uploaded subbed episodes of yugioh GX's fourth season as they aired, I was flabbergasted ta the time, no one knew there was a fourth season in my country. Over the years I've watched a few anime here and there, usually when I read about it in the media or found a clip that i liked in youtube, but I think I haven't really gotten into the "fandom", keeping up with currently aired anime and stuff until last year.

My brother showed me FLCL, and I thought it was dumb and weird.
Now it's one of my favorite shows

It was a good to grow up in a time when the internet coexisted with older media, internet only kinda sucks.

Started watching anime when I turned 20 half way through last year after I decided I should watch some more stuff besides naruto which I had already seen.

Watched over 250 shows in the span of a year, it's too late for me to turn back now. Sorry for being a newfag.

>Be 5years old me
>watching kiddy cartoons on tv at still dark o'clock in the morning
>see sailormoon on tv for the first time
>see qt in a mini skirt fighting bad guys
>watched that shit everyday since

You're not a newfag. 250 shows in a year? That's glorious. You are the chosen one, the weeb supreme.

>Watched over 250 shows in the span of a year

>using white as if to identify as american
Stupid. The only difference between americans and hispanics is the language. And most hispanic people know english.

I love anime now.

Assuming an average of 20 episodes per show, with an average length of 20 minutes for episode, which is a lowball estimate, he's had to watch over 4 hours of anime a day every day for the last year for the statement of having watched 250 shows to be true.

>>gamergate

This really makes me want to start watching more anime.

>white/hispanic
Are you in doubt about what your skin color was back when you were in diapers?
I mean I know alot of people don't remember much from when they were a kid - and I'm with you here, I don't remember jack shit either - but god damn dude.

Most hispanics are white. Hispanic merely means that you speak Spanish.

Jesus christ I pity you. All pokemon? that's almost as hardcore as 250 shows guy, except in 250 different shows there's bound to be at least a few good ones, pokemon is absolute bottom of the barrel when it comes to anime quality, fucking Comet Lucifer is better. Pokemon might seriously be the blandest, most boring and dumb anime ever.

Yeah, "white".

Nice Sup Forums meme.
