Here's your >(you)

>supposedly Chinese character
>speaks Chinese fluently and nicely

When did that ever happen except ping pong?

>Complains about anime characters speaking english

rufuckingkiddingme.jpg

I don't understand the problem.

>Dog/Cat
>Voiced by a human.

Real cats and dogs can't speak

Pretty much any anime with an native english speaking character.

You don't understand how good you have it, at least Japan is somewhat exposed to English. Have you ever heard a Jap try to speak Russian?

Sword of the Stranger as well

Well, English is more worldwide than Russian.

Yeah, that's the source of the issue.

I think he means animal noises like barking and meowing. A lot of anime use an actual VA for them.

Their French is so horrible because they can't deal with the different vowel sounds. I remember them trying to pronounce Fleur's name in E7 AO, some VAs could kind of get it, others made it sounds like "Flare" or something.

>Supposedly British character
>Says that her eyes are slanted when it is in fact the other way around
Two nukes weren't enough

>Sword of the Stranger
>Fluent chinese
Absolutely not

>Supposedly British character
she was half japanese though

To the Japanese, Westerner's eyes are slanted weird.

Karen is half-Japanese, and even if she had Bestern eyes they'd appear angled weird to Japan.

>That language
>Implying Italians are English
Spaghetti Meatball White Flag, Baguette.

I want to have slant eyed children with Karen.

>american character
>doesn't communicate by shooting in morse code

Here's an exception

vimeo.com/31777308

Karen is not for sexual

>white flag
>baguette
>Italian
>>>/americaneducation/

That series as a whole is the one exception of I can think of

She is though.

No, she isn't. She is for strictly non-sexual cuddling.

This is true

She was only built for sex.

Lies and slander. She was built for cuteness.

>Morse code
>not Norris code
Come on now

>character is from America
>seems to have flawless Japanese
>also has good English the few times it gets used
>other character in the series is amused and tries to speak English with her
>American actually corrects mistakes she makes

>This hasn't been posted yet

This is my greatest pet peeve, going above cliche characters sometimes. It's just so weird, how hard would it be to use actual samples?

It's another VA, isn't it? Her voice sounds so different.

>trying to start shit with Karen

Just stop nigga

You'd be surprised how different some people sound.
I know a singer who's got a fairly obvious accent when speaking English normally, but no trace of it at all when they sing.

>VA speaks Japanese with a perfect American weeaboo accent
>character is Finnish

Not hard at all, but it can be funnier if a VA does it.

Nah, that wasn't really good chinese.

>Sudden CG for some really trivial thing like food on a table or a single car going past in the background.

Would things like that really be so hard/costly to to just draw and animate?

>The Japanese character tries to speak English
>They actually sound better than the American or British character.

>CIA character
>Voiced by Irish seiyuu

...

>Character is American
>her teeth are fucked up
>Japanese characters all have perfect teeth

This thread reminds me of the cringeworthy dialogue in The Perfect Insider.

If they're British that makes sense
ya fookin coont ya mug oil rek ya ya plonka shite ed

Are you telling me "Katyusha" from GuP was pronounced poorly?
I mean, parts I could tell, but it didn't seem that bad

Also this:

>white flag
>not Italian
Name a war Italy has won. You quite literally cannot. THEY LOST TO ETHIOPIA!

Oi dags out lads, free tickets to a gash bash! Hope this cunt's not a welcher.

>Native English speaker character
>Some Japanese character uses really poor English
>English speaker corrects them using really poor English

Thanks, Spielberg

>funnier

Who would actually get a giggle out of that besides the cast?

>Man, I wish every American was like you.
He knows.

Surprised they don't just grab some american looking goon off the street and ask them to record a couple lines for $50

Squid girl.

It's like the accent equivalent of those androids who are made to appear human but it's just not quite right.

>taking accent elimination classes from Jackie Chan

>VA who is playing a bilingual role can actually speak English perfectly.
>They're told to speak illegible Engrish because all they understand.

youtube.com/watch?v=Ic53hhFllPM

what if they accidently used "noise" samples of cats talking shit about the entire cat population ?

I would happily do that.

I think you mean "corrects them with even worse English".

The same thing happens with spelling of certain English words in anime. They purposefully spell them incorrectly or in Engrish because it's easier for the audience to read/recognize the word that way.

Comedy is betraying expectations. If you expect to hear a cat and instead get a human meow it can be funny. If it's a deadpan meow that sounds like the VA is saying I didn't sign up for this shit it can be even funnier.

>Canadian characters
>both speak almost perfect english

That's some extremely reserved humour.

I'd imagine my great grandmother and perhaps the pope would stretch to sensible chuckle, tops.

>>american character
>>doesn't communicate by shooting in morse code

i call bullshit

>half Japanese character
>Father is always the Jap

hahaha, no

>supposedly non-English European character
>speaks broken Japanese in what's obviously supposed to be an American accent

OBJECTION!

>chuckle

That's all it's supposed to elicit, maybe even just a smirk. Every little gag doesn't have to aim for comedy perfection.

I'd prefer it like pic related

Not Russian, but this reminds me of when Guilty Crown was airing and the OST came out.

I remember being in a thread where native German speakers literally did not believe that Bios was in German until somebody posted booklet scans. Apparently the lyrics are gramatically sound, but Mika Kobayashi can't pronounce them for anything.

I like the way she pronounces German better than how it's actually supposed to be pronounced. Jerman > German

Surely they have to be a bit self aware

>American character
>"Huh? Kissing is no big deal. Overseas everybody does that all the time"
"Y-y-you want to refer to each other by first names!? T-thats way too lewd, we're not close enough for that b-b-baka!"

Do they even try?

...

...

>"Huh? Kissing is no big deal. Overseas everybody does that all the time"
They keep saying so in anime, but in what countries is that actually true?

France?

Its a thing in Southern Europe. Spain, Italy, Greece etc.

Two towers weren't enough.

Burgers trying to speak japanese sound almost as horrible as nips trying to speak english.

>Upotte
>Ichiroku can speak to Sig and Funco just fine in nip
>can't fucking read their notes though and needs Elle to take notes for her
Wut.

Yes.

Five engrish best engrish

>Non Japanese character
>Speaks fluent japanese

>american has fucked up teeth
Have you been to america because...That is accurate.

Fucking America.
>sucks face with person in club
>"who was that?"
>"lol dunno but she was hot, right?"

>Excuse me, where is the train station?
>I'll kill you!

Or

>It iza rerry easy to a speaking engurish de geso~
>Really? Is that so? (Subtitles read: READY? IS THAT SO.)

Have you? Americans have the highest rate of braces and teeth whitening and stuff like that in the world.

Yes. It was horrific.

World War I.

Are you retarded?
Do you actually and truthfully suffer from some sort of mental retardation?

>Human
>Voiced by dog/cat

>Japanese character
>played by a chinese person

I live in America so obviously I see how shit people look. There are people in some places that do that but most of the people in non coast cities' teeth look average to complete shit. Even if my own city there are folks who think braces and even dentist trips are useless.
Not all publicized stats are completely true.
