I remember owning a pair of roller skates and putting them on.
2 minutes later I took them off because they were difficult to use. They disappeared in the cellar and we never spoke of them again.

No, and neither does Oh Great!

Yes? And?

>twf you got rollerblades as a kid but lived in the fucking countryside

>open webm
>future funk starts playing

I saw a dude with roller blades at college today and thought "rad"

you bet your ass I do

Are you certain you didn't travel back in time?

No I'm not old enough.

I remember its edgy rollerblade resurgence in the early 90s but just barely.

Roller blades > roller skates

I still rollerblade, is it a bad thing?

No. It was pretty tubular to see such a hip guy rolling down the street.

Don't see what's so wrong about that

Yeah, it's fine.
It's perfectly acceptable to be gay these days.

...

It's not gay if you have an afro and flared pants and listen to disco music while doing it.

Good point.
Also if you wear an open leather waistcoat and skate exclusively in the new york subways.

wew

and if you're holding one of these on your shoulder against your ear?

...

When did Air Gear go wrong?

Around behemoth I think, at least that's when it started to go wrong. I mean I enjoyed it to the end, but the later chapters were not what anyone was expecting from the start of the series.

Sorry I was born in the late eighties. Wasn't even a thing when I was a kid.

wew lad

does the president ever change bodies back?

Everything is a "thing" you riotously gay, word-mincing millennial FAGGOT

I'll be honest, I don't recall.

is this flcl?

Dude, it says the name of the series, and the name of the mangaka on the page.

Nobody going to post the Sakura webm?

Do it yourself.

>you will never experience the 80's as a teenager

Good. I'm a nerd, last decade was a great time to be a teen for me.

Good, because the 80's were shit.

I fucking hate you. Don't ever fucking reply to me again.

Air Gear should get the FMA treatment, shit is just so old school that will surprise everyone in the world and become the next big thing. I always said after the anime aired, that they made it in the wrong time.

No it shouldn't.

You know, the hardest part about rollerblading is telling everyone you're gay.

I wonder if middle school Sakura still skates. The world got updated to modern time (Sakura uses a smartphone now, Kero probably plays an Overwatch knock off or something) so maybe she turned into a hipster?

I can't skate anyway.

Please don't say something like that so lightly

this this this

>Could never rollerskate
>Was always terrified of falling and hurting myself
>Never road them
>Did the same thing with bicycles
>Didn't learn how to ride a bike until I was 16
>Once I learned how, I never road it
>Have probably forgotten since then

I'm not even fat

Yeah, except it turns to shit because Oh Great cannot write for shit

Would make for a nice flashy trainwreck though

Look at those Fruit Booters.

All forms of skating today is dead.

Lum is my waifu

Wish I didn't.

>muh turf

...

...

...

...

...

It still is. Right? I didn't get so old that rollerskating stopped being a thing, right?

Oh god, Lum's face is priceless.

I should correct myself and say that I grew up when rollerblading was a thing. It was so fucking fun.

I'd still do it but I don't have any rad clothes anymore.

>that last line
What is he? Gay?

You wouldn't grind with your waifu, would you?

That is some Jitsuwa shit.

dude i love filthy frank

I've thought about rollerblading. The way I see it, if you bad you look like a retard, if you're good you look like an asshole, but if you're really good then you're cool.

Roller blades are not a bad way to get around campus but is less convenient than a scooter or skateboard

> started Judo when I was 6
> impervious to gravity
> jumped off moving cars
> jumped off houses
> rollerskating like its 1999 at 40km/h
> fall
> just roll and get up again

I'm still a machine. Even after the things I've done I've never broken a bone, never had a concussion or injured myself physically. Never been to a hospital either.

The price was mild brain damage, but I'll pay it.

>All forms of skating today is dead.
This makes me sad on a level I didn't know existed.

I'm okay with 90s anime going away and all the crazy, rad stuff from those ages. I can even handle XP and Win 7 being discontinued.

But the realization that skating is dead brings pain to my heart.

Dude, did you even bike full speed off of garage rooftops? You disappoint me.

I remember crashing into a tree and getting this fucking massive slash on my arm that's still there.

He doesn't want to be stuck with one girl.

gaaaaaaay I guess I can sympathize

It's dead. Today's youth spends all their free time on their phones browsing Facebook.

Right around when kururu showed up. On a side note fuck ringo.

I know it's not the same, but if you want to swerve around on wheels the Ripstik is actually pretty fun. I own a spin-off model, ripsurf, and swerving through town at 1AM listening to Initial D is an amazing experience.
People might make fun of you if you're fat or something, but in my town many people ride them around so nobody cares. I usually get curious teenagers asking about my model.

Would you?

>get razor scooter because everyone got one that year
>run it into a tree.
>leg lands on the fucking handle bar length tightener
And that is how I got an indentation in my shin that never went away.

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I always wanted to learn how to rollerblade but i never got the balls to try it so there goes that.
Now i feel like i should have when i see my little sister have fun.
At least i learnt how to ride a bike, even if i had to learn 3 times.

Yes i would. Who wouldn't?

Anyone loyal to their waifu.

Longboarding is really popular in my city.

They go down hill roads and do this spinning trick every few dozen meters to slow down. I'm afraid I'm going to hit one someday.

mweh nigga

Skating is still pretty relevant here in Southern California.

Nice decks btw.

neko.openings.moe/?video=Opening1-UruseiYatsura

>backbrake
Fucking noob.

Came here to post this.
Why is Sakura so cool?

What if she was my waifu?
Or if i had no waifu?

Also West coast?
Thanks and yeah I can see California still going strong with it. East coast, not so much.

British Columbia

they are called inline skates, rollerblade was a brand and that name caught on. kind of like how burgerlanders call vacuum cleaners 'hoovers'

come skate plaza with me user!

try hookups hookupsofficial.myshopify.com/

Oh shit he finally restocked. Yeah I have his brand shoes and I'm liking that Subway groper deck.

Skateboarding will become an olympic sport for 2020, soooo, who knows, maybe we will get an anime about it in the next years.

How fucking big is that park? Do you see that giant hill?

>kind of like how burgerlanders call vacuum cleaners 'hoovers'
I'm a burger and I call them vacuum cleaners. I've never seen anyone call them hoovers.

As much as i'd find this funny I hope skateboarding never becomes marketable enough to make an anime off it. Skating shying away from the mainstream since the mid 2000s has created some amazing core communities which would be totally eaten up by commercialism. Nike is already responsible for killing 5 new brands a year and local shops. Cant imagine the kooks that a skating anime would bring.

They sell out far too fast

...

SO HERE I AM

DOING EVERYTHING I CAN

Where's my ridiculous and over the top shounen anime about tri scooters?

Is there some kind of social stigma with rollerblading? Genuine question, since in my post-soviet wonderland of a birthplace I've not seen anything like that?

youtube.com/watch?v=g7QZ9bDgMrw

youtube.com/watch?v=IlWv3L8DZts

Skateboarders just like to act cocky towards all other kinds of action sports considering them just a waste of time and not cool enough.
Even in my post-soviet wonderland as well
