Positive Thinking - Starve The Beast with Tiny Homes, Van Life, Off-Grid and Minimalism

Let's get comfy and discuss minimalism, van life, off-grid living and tiny homes. Any way to stave the Mortgage Jew of the money and power he uses to enslave us. What is your plan to drop out of the system and reinvent your life for the better, even in the face of the collapse of society?

Let's get comfy.

That house really doesn't look that small

>tiny homes
You need land to grow food on to be self-sufficient

This is two trailers pulled together.

Damn that looks comfy as fuck. I want to light up a joint and watch Merry Christmas Charley Brown in that.

You can engage in semi-homesteading. You can grow some lettuce, etc in above ground tubs. Buy other things from the store. Measure what gives you the biggest return.

Getting land is best. You can go out far, off grid but the good news today is there is tons of technology to provide off-grid electric and internet.

often discussed on /out.
All for it! Opting out of the human cattle society for a simpler life is very attractive. I'm selling off more and more items that I don't have a critical need for, to make the "escape" less painful. Getting used to getting by with less, is a good start. Van dwelling is not really a good option. Unless you own the land it's parked on.
A small cabin would be more reliable. But learning actual skills to become a hXc hiker would be ideal. The skill of getting by with close to nothing is something to aim for.

And it looks nothing like the cabin from your first picture. Here's another angle I just googled.

foraging has been done for thousands of years. It has only died off in the last 200 years.

>icicles
>cozy

So signs of having shitty insulation and heat loss are cozy now?

I see your comfy joint, smoldering to perfection and raise you one comfy female wearing plaid...

>spend all day picking berries instead of being an engineer or whatever

>buying what you can afford is now considered "right wing"

what a world

Minimalism can take all forms.

There is no one way to do it. You may have a family cabin; or a tiny home or a camper-trailer. I have entertained all avenues and combinations of different things. Example: Van life during spring/fall and living in cabin the rest of the time.

I like the second view of pancake cabin

This is in the face of societal collapse.
But if you can engineer or whatever, you probably don't need food.

>I'm not cucked because I'm free to choose the style of my cuck shed.

okay bud

off grid internet is shit, anything changed?

In Canada we have fresh water mussels. The only way they can colonize upstream is by sensing when fish are in the water and jizzing all over them. Hopefully the fish swim upstream because otherwise when the mussles cum in the water it just gets washed down to the ocean.

Van Dwelling could be a start for a poorfag with nothing to work with. Cargo vans are best and can be made to work as "stealth mode" so they can use parking lots and still be homey inside.

get a 3G Kindle. Free webs 4 life.

I have personally had Exede Dish internet and it's very good. I was able to stream JewFlix and JewTube most of the day. There is a peak time around the dinner hour but most of the time streaming is fine.

You can download movies from a service like Vudu or iTunes to watch later. I could download 2-3GB movies in a couple of hours.

There is lag during gaming or Skype calls but for the most part it's very modern and reliable. All you need is a view of the Southern Sky and enough electric to run a modem. Solar system would power it.

That 'as gota be bullshite mate.

Are you taking the piss?

ideally, a minimalistic future would not include jew appliances to hook up to jew services.

What kind of poor ass small house do you live in?

More and more we are seeing 4G LTE in rural off-grid locations. There are many places with cheap land that are near interstates where the cellular companies have a vested interest in providing service. If you can get in that corridor, you can get your internet and still be off grid to an extent.

At one point I had the Exede dish and cellular backup with LTE. Between the both of them I was rarely out of internet.

Verizon now has a plan that is unlimited for $75.

That was a couple of years ago. I dropped JewFlix once House of Cards and Archer went full bore SJW.

I still get some conspiracy shit from JewTube. But we are talking about service in general. You could be downloading digital books or whatever. The point is that broadband internet in remote locations is now a very big reality.

There will be new social networks and video sites once the current ones fail.

nice! There used to be all kinds of unlimited packs here too, but they all were taken away as soon as 4G was the norm.

This for sure. 2nd home. Keshe gans powered in great whit north south of canada!
See if bait taken

I live in a tiny house. You don't have to live like a poor-ass. Because you are using a small square footage, you can afford to upgrade all the materials and fixtures. There are many advantages to living small.

Remember, the more you earn, the more (((they))) take in taxes, so they have a vested interest in having you keep up with the Joneses even though it's not necessarily part of your core happiness.

Part of minimalism is focusing on the core things that make you truly happy. I have nice things like a gaming system and rollerblades. I just focus on the right things that I get joy from every day.

Beers Hoser.

Okay, how can I get up into the Northern Territories? How does it work? Is it like wild west or what?

yeah the interwebs can be used for good. But for me, while on hikes, I never miss it. I always leave my smartphone at home.

As a drill you could pretend the internet would shut down for good. A part from entertainment, would would be crucial to download or even print beforehand?

Get this trending. Playboy publicy sold child pornography. Hugh Hefner was scum.

The mortgage Jew is only have the problem, the other part of the problem is real estate speculators who cause prices to be sticky upwards in almost every desirable market.

Everybody who sells their house tries to get more than they paid for it even if they're not an investor. God isn't making any more land. So buy real estate.

yarrr... What* would be crucial to download beforehand...

Internet was one of my biggest worries as I pushed further and further out.

Exede blew my mind with how reliable it was. It's a subsidiary of Wild Blue which developed satellite data communication for the military.

Even during the most vicious storms, I was rarely down more than 1/2 hour. It took a lot to knock it out. I would say the Satellite was way more reliable than Cellular. I also had a real dog-shit DSL-light connection at one point that was like 1mbps. The Satellite beat that out at 10mbps.

Pic related is contemporary tiny home. You don't have to live like some hillbilly hick in some hillbilly shack someplace.

That guy was kind of being bitching to you, no offence against your life style

so your solution is to be part of the problem?

Nice, gotta sauce on this?

You can also grow huge batches of oyster mushrooms using little more than waste cardboard and paper (old cardboard egg crates are particularly good).

They grow on just about anything with fiber actually... not picky at all, see this guy's grow with old cardboard, a milk crate, and a trash bag: imgur.com/gallery/QfFqs

All sorts of tutorials on how to do this on the web. If you want to, you only need to buy spores once, really, as you can just transfer colonized cardboard to a fresh container.

Been planning on doing this as a source of cheap and nutritious food, although I'd end up with a fucking ton more mushrooms than I could ever eat.

I'm already part of a lot of problems that I complain about anyway mate ;)

It's a good thought experiment. All my photos are on in the cloud now, but synced with two computers so they would be saved.

My Docs are all online but also synced locally.

I would think that you should make a habit of syncing all cloud drives for the day when the net died or there was a major outage.

Otherwise, be in the habit of downloading material that is likely to be whitewashed by (((them))) for being too offensive. You should be in that habit already.

Other things to save would be:

>Basics of growing, seed storage
>Fire starting, heat, etc
>Shelter building techniques
>Hunting techniques
>Basic first aid
>Edible plants.

What else?

I've done a ton of research on stealth urban camping over the years and I have arrived at the conclusion that THIS is the ultimate stealth RV. Used you can get one for 10k and rhwy have 6+ ft on interior headroom and up to 16 ft of flat floor space depending on model.

You are totally invisible no matter where you park in this.

Would be great in theory, if only we weren't a tiny minority surrounded by oceans of fucking complete retards who cannot fucking stop guzzling Jew cum.

>the problem is real estate speculators

That is why you buy off-grid. This is a huge opportunity now. Solar panels, generators, etc are all affordable and even sold on Amazon.com. You can make money on the internet, etc.

Home values rely on the "grid". Your house only has value because it has water and electric nearby. And this is what also devalues your house, once unsavory people move into your neighborhood. The "Takers" always move into easy areas to leech off the "Doers". This is the time for the Doers to move out into the far-away lands.

You no longer have to feel "isolated" living off grid. The entire internet is right there as your window to the civilized world.

Don't buy the overpriced crap in the cities. Force a correction. Tell the boomers and speculators that they are no longer allowed to unfairly drive up the value of property. Vote with your money. Don't enslave yourself to the Mortgage Jew

I know. I have to reply to every post in the start to get the thread birthed. Turn it around and make it positive.

Positive Thinking Ricky.

Which survivalist books/docs do you have hard copies of for when shit hits the fan?

>Nice, gotta sauce on this?

Image source traces back to this:

thevanual.com/sleeping-and-safety/

But the image is gone. Looks like a good site for tips if you are getting into Van Dwelling. Many of those guys run blogs telling you what to look for and what to avoid.

This blog looks pretty thorough with chapters from start to living it.

>imgur.com/gallery/QfFqs

Excellent source. I've seen people at farmer's markets selling starter kits for mushrooms like this.

If you grow too much, you could use the excess as a source of barter or income.

Same goes, if you get some land. You can sell eggs for a couple of extra bucks. Most normies are too lazy to raise chickens but love "farm eggs".

Another thing that takes little space to grow but returns high profit is herbs. Yuppies love buying Basil and other fresh herbs for their yuppie food dishes that they will photograph and post to Instagram.

this is a joke they have sold idiots like OP on making living in a shoe box desirable, or hes shilling for the company here

Looks like there's a jiggaboo with a 90's flat top haircut in the back. I don't think I would be able to relax in that cabin if he's staying there.

thanks op this thread altered my state of mind

I've debated on these. You lose some stealth because they stick out like a sore thumb. If you're in the parking lot, you can only be mistaken for "a delivery guy" (to the store you're parked at) and not a common workman like a painter or plumber.

I like the normal sized cargo vans. I would get a ladder rack and just keep a ladder up there and maybe even do a real cheesy logo on the side with a phone number. Maybe even keep a burner phone for the number with a message, "Sorry, we're all booked right now."

And I would build a fire wall behind the seats and fill it with "all kinds of screws and wires and shit" so when the cops shine a light and there and see a bunch of parts, your cover is much less likely to be blown.

A normal cargo van or even a mini like the Ford Transit Connect blends in much easier with the cars of the freight crew at common parking areas. It's more plausible that your van is "one of the worker's cars" which is what you want to project.

Architectural Engineer here, the beast will not be starved. Too many normie families. I'm becoming one now.

Bump! I like compact comfy. Trying to convert garage and get ideas

Whats your opinion on living inside bunkers while using book material found on the murdercube for self-sustenance?

Holy Mother of God! I didn't see that.

See how this fits your sensibilities.

People could do this just by not buying shit. I wish this Christmas not a single new toy was bought, nor unnecessary electronics. The government would throw a fucking fit at the lost taxes. When will people realize they have the power? STOP BUYING stupid shit. Especially you baby boomer cunts with those pensions. Fucking senile niggers and your RVs.

are we not sensihillbillys? tismmmmm..

Why not both you twat? Why not find where the berries are. Engineer a fucking garden bed together, grow more god damn berries, have to spend way less time looking for more bushes.

Nothing and no one said you couldn't take the old-time lifestyle, and IMPROVE ON THE MOTHERFUCKER.

In America if you go really off the grid to land that doesnt have infrastructure (power lines, water pipes, gas lines, ect.) You can buy land cheap as fuck, you basically get it for nothing. Elsewhere in the country you can literally get land for nothing if you develop it over a certain period of time. If you dont mind living in the middle of fucking no where its not to bad desu

I must admit that I'm only starting my list. Any suggestions. I wouldn't mind taking some local courses. I'm a fairly hardy camper already. I can build fire, etc. I would like more knowledge on field first aid along with hunting/cleaning.

Most people have a fairly decent idea on shelter. I think the biggest lack of knowledge would be hunting for food and first aid.

I also suggest that if you are interested in this stuff, start a bookmark folder. I would love to get more threads like this birthed to share ideas and to begin taking a positive outlook on the shitty situation we're all in with society.

Nah it's true. Even the animals are a bunch of fags here.

Found the Real Estate Jew.

Sorry no lifetime of compounded interest for you.

eating what?

>just live in a tiny cuckshed, goy
>we'll even make it look pretty for you so you don't feel like the impoverished cuck that you are
>just accept the system and submit to it and its facets instead of trying to change things for the better

Saw a dude in a thread like this a while ago who was into ultra-light hiking. He would carry one light as fuck bag and talked about having just gotten back from a 3 year hike. Dude was pretty crazy, the thread closed before I got more information about how to get into this kind of thing.

Useless shit is of Satan.

Right on.

Grab your gun and bring in the cat.

>yes goy, buy a big house
>take out a mortgage goy, everyone is doing it!
>also, don't forget property taxes and insurance
fuck off kike

...

What about restoring? Anyone have any experience? How expensive would it be to make a place liveable if you did it yourself?

imovirtual.com/anuncio/santa-comba-dao-casa-para-recuperar-197-IDBt9J.html#gallery[1]

I would huff and huff ...and pass the fuck out.

On a real note though, if you get fertile land, a nice size garden going, start raising some chicken or rabbit, it's GG.

>murdercube

I think Edmonton is a fine place to escape to.

I would weld all kinds of grenades, LEDS and midgets all around the fucking thing like the Nomads in Borderlands. I'd wire in all kinds of speakers to to play video game clips once the feds came for my guns.

>Shotgun Rhinoplasty!

There was a big movement to live in ICBM silos back in the 80s. Many people were also building underground pods. There is a company that makes them. An underground pod could give you stealth in case of zombie attack. You would have to tunnel an escape route.

For oysters you don't even need to use a kit IMO. Grab a starter spawn online for a few bucks and some nutrients. The nutrients don't even need to be all that fancy, as in I'm pretty sure even just gypsum + nitrogen source will suffice.

Some people have successfully grown oysters on old coffee grounds, but that carries a strong risk of mold, so I've never given it serious thought.

I had this website bookmarked for oyster spawn -- alohamedicinals.com/mushroom-spawn.html -- as you can see it's quite cheap to get started, moreso if you are planning to constantly use one colony to start another.

Herbs are definitely great & easy things to grow even if you never sell any, it's just nice to have that stuff on hand. Stuff like mint is a literal weed and will take over the garden plot if not maintained.

Also learn what edible things grow wild in your area. For example out here in Arizona citrus grows wild here and there -- full of seeds, but makes perfectly good juice.

Can they resist artillery/carpet bombing or a nuclear apocalypse?

>not using vertical grow systems
Fuck sake, user.

I dont want microwave radiation ever.

Surely we can adapt without internet. What did they do before that shit?

Go to internet cafe here and there if need be. As long as u got car.

>spend all day posting anime girls instead of being an engineer or whatever
hahaha PFFT BAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAAAA

>People could do this just by not buying shit.

This is one of my biggest life gripes. Our "vote" is our money. That is what (((they))) use to enslave us. They give us a "democracy" to make us believe we have some kind of say. Your Normie Vote is just about useless.

But if something really bothers you, find where the money goes and stop that money flow. I guarantee you that this will evoke the change if enough people join you.

And as far as the rampant hoarding and materialism of the Boomer Generation, I think that is starting to die off. I'm Gen X and we started to get hit hard with the bullshit with the 2008 crash. We all downsized and started embracing more minimalism. I think things are changing with Gen Z who is said to be more like the Silent Generation which was more forward thinking and looking.

The boomers fucked us over. I can't wait to get rid of their asses. Boomers are in the process of trying to convert their overpriced houses into retirement money. Most Millennials are not taking the bait (buying money pit houses) and instead downsizing. I hope for a market correction if enough people stop trying to "buy happiness" and find core sources of happiness like quality experiences.

It's lose-lose, now. Play their credit game or get overrun by Mexicans while living in a mobile-home. Pure shit living for all non-cadets.

I worked in telecommunications back in the day installing satellite tv and home security systems. Vans with ladders on top and logos on the side are actually prime targets for thieves (violent nigs) in the middle of the night. A lot of these guys keep thousands of dollars worth of electronics in their vans because the warehouses with the new goods are usually regional and you dont want to drive an ectra 2 hours each day just going to pick shit up, so most companies will let you take a week or twos worth of gear to keep as inventory. Then those guys just leave first thing in the mornings right from their houses to the job site.

They obviously leave their vans in their driveway at home overnight if you dont have hoa rules against it. This situation is a normal target. BUT many apartments and hoas wont let you keep your van in your driveway. So tons of people keep these vans in parking lots close to home overnight like you are suggesting. These are YUGE targets.

Think about it. Even a taco truck has a few ovens and some other things on board which could be hocked for a couple grand. And most thieves know theyre empty

TL/DR - I would not suggest this unless you were in a super white, rural area. Even then you might get tweekers. Not trying to rain on your parade. Just something to think about. People who live onboard boats live in secured marinas for a reason. You just park anywhere youre probably going to have some problems

Aww hell yeah this is my kinda thread.
Getting rid of most of my shit so all my possessions can fit inside of my duffel bag was the best decision I ever made.

>Laptop/graphics tablet
>Clothes/towel
>Mess kit/thermos
>Hard drives/thumb drives with all my files books/games/movies/music on to avoid the cloud Jew
>Degree (makes it easier to get work abroad)

All fits on my back.

If I ever need to bounce I can have everything I own slammed on my back within minutes.
Invest in efficiency, you don't need to own a lot of shit. Owning things you can't take with you has a price.

>above ground tubs
youtube Curtis Stone, no-till growing.

Gas consumption reduced in California due to more fuel efficient vehicles. Therefore, lower tax revenue was collected on fuel. Subsequently the state of California looked for other ways to get their revenue.

In summary, the tax man will get his pound of flesh one way or another. You can live in a cuck shed in the middle of the woods if you want, but if that trend ever catches on the government will catch up.

Just experiment man. My first "camping trip" was in the back yard. I set up camp, cooked and cleaned all with the mindset that I was "out there" to start testing my skills. Then I did a 3 mile hike, then a 10 mile one.

Keep pushing your skills to gain confidence in tiny steps.

I used to light camp fires on day hikes just to increase skills. I would have it in my mind that I was in a life threatening situation and had to confidently light fire right then with only natural materials and a match.

As far as "useless shit" do this. Pick up every object in the house and ask, "Have I used this object in the last year? Has it brought me any joy? Does it have any monetary worth? Can I sell it? -donate it?

You would be amazed at how much shit you carry that you don't need. There are many things that can do double use. Do you really need a toaster or can you brown bread in a frying pan just fine?

Shipping container homes

My buddy did just that for nearly 2 years while he worked at Microsoft

You can go to internet cafe and download media to watch later. YouTube Red will allow you to download video "in town" and then watch it later in your remote location. I look for other video services to offer this soon too. You can set up cloud services to sync while you're in town and then read material once you go out remote. Download a Kindle book in town and read later.

There is also some software to download "your favorite web sites" for the day and store to disk for later reading.

It really just takes a bit of planning. But honestly, there is LTE data in many remote areas now. Sometimes all it takes is to drive to a peak in the road to get a couple of bars of LTE. It's pretty amazing.

pic related is nuclear missile silo redone as home

And I paid so much for oyster mushrooms at the farmers market! Now I see how easy it is to grow them. Big profit. They taste fantastic. Great in rice.

Mushrooms can mimic meat in a dish like rice or make meat stretch if you have little of it. I eat a ton of them.

I had mint on my old property. Can confirm it grows like a weed. There are many crafty things you can do with herbs like that that can sell in farmer's markets. Women make eye-shades (...those herbal feelgood things for your eyes) with herbs. You can make smell-good things to hang in the house. If you do this type of thing with a woke woman, she can do a lot of that kind of crafty stuff to bring in extra income.

Shipping containers are literally nigger-tier meme homes. They lose their single benefit the second you cut into them for windows and doors and are a shitton more expensive than the materials/labor it takes to put up a similar size structure. You're a fucking idiot if you haven't figured it out by now. Also 8-foot ceilings lowered by insulation/drywall and insulated flooring raising you up? Find a shed with a ~7-foot ceiling and you'll see it's some poverty level living experience. Gilded garbage, especially if you get clean unused ones that haven't had toxic/radioactive waste in them. Just buy some i-beams to fit if you want "muh structural strength meme boxes".

Hunting and gathering. Preserving food he caught ect. I forget where exactly he said he went hiking.

My greatest dream is to go innawoods one day. I have no idea how :(

engineer=zog compliance officer

cut down on your shitposting by 30 minutes a day and spend that time researching
you'll be ready before you know it

I love mushrooms. I eat them at practically every meal in some way smaller or larger, its easy as shit to grow them if you put the time in too.

I am buying a house next year. People keep trying to get me to buy a 300k+ house which in my cheap part of the country would be a veritable mansion. They say "however much house you think you need, add more to it because you'll use it" which I guess is wrong but some 5+ room, 3+ bath two story palace with a big yard would be a lot of work to maintain. I would like to find a 2/3 bedroom house that's a little out of the way.

Honestly it's intimidating. Renting is so much easier. But it's a waste of money not to pay to own.

Still better than becoming some McMansion faggot in a cookie-cutter development. Let me have my boxes, yo

Van Dwelling is a risk and a last resort. It is a foot-up for a poorfag who has no wealth to work with. At the very least, he can convert his car money into a van and combine the living expense of rent and vehicle as one.

The end game is land. And so, maybe a guy does van dwelling for a year or two to get money down on some property. Then he can park at the property and build a tiny house. Maybe with luck, he works a deal with his buddy to park on land for the night. That is the biggest issue, where to park at night. The rest is fucking easy.

It's a way to build something from nothing. Small smart steps and NOT ONE DIME to (((them))) along the way.

I repeat. Starve the Clever Banker Jew.

As far as the van being full of electronics, or the illusion there of. Here is what you do. Splash some fucking paint on the bumper and maybe smear some on the sides. Hang a paint can on the side. OK? Now it's a painter truck. What's in there? Fucking nothing. Some paint, some drop cloths. A brush or two? It becomes a low target. Everybody knows painters are bottom of the construction totem pole. It's a low barrier of entry trade.

Think of ways to make your vehicle appear low-value and low-target. Use a cheesy logo, etc. Nigs will always go after the highest value, yet lowest hanging fruit.

stop talking about it and do it
