Baki Dou 125 - The Fall of Muh Sashi

Aight, it's been 5 hours, so let's try this again. I'll actually post the full chapter for nerds' benefit. And also something from the Grappler chapter we're working on, because it's funny in context of Dou.

end of chapter

And here's what I mentioned in the OP. Don't worry, we're gonna redraw it; this chapter is just nightmarish.

>Memetobe memeing his way to victory

Oh weeeew

so is pickle dead?

Probably not, but hopefully. Chances are that Tokugawa signaled to his medical nerds, who then picked up Pickle from the hall. That's happened like 10 times before throughout the series, so it wouldn't surprise me here.

It just makes sense in a world of absurd strength, endurance and techniques to utilize tricks and alternate methods like this to deal with people

This guy just embarrassed Pickle and uses a weapon, who wants to deal with that head on sans Yujiro

This is really entertaining but it still makes no sense for Memetobe to be this maymay. Musashi is going to stomp him anyway,

Do you browse Japanese sites with Baki threads? Have you seen general opinions about Musashi as well as reactions to this new chapter?

>who wants to deal with that head on sans Yujiro
Baki, evidently
Jack did, before he was cripplized

POCKETSAND

I just looked. They're essentially saying the same shit that we are and/or are thinking about, but with a Jap language bend: stuff like
>Motobe is so awesome
>lol he's gonna pull out a gun
>I bet he has traps already set
>Why is he fighting fairly from the front and not just shooting him in the back
>lol wrestling/sumo moves
>he's smoking K2, not tobacco
>Who would win in a fair fight, Yuujiro or Kuriyagawa
>Oliva needs to come back; I wonder if his muscles could stop the sword
Couple people asking what the fuck the bomb was, etc.

I'm so hyped that people are gonna get to read the Maxim Tournament in english after all these years.

>Maxim Tournament
kek
but yeah, so am I
now if only our REDRAWER could work faster COUGH

BULLSHIT. Musashi did dirty fighting before it was even a thing.

So far it's like every other Musashi fight. He gets knocked down, stands up unfazed as if he meant to get hit and I'm guessing praises his opponent.

He did unfair "duel techniques", not dirty fighting in general. He didn't ever use assassination or sneak techniques though, which is basically key. If you fought 'dirty' in a duel, you'd be lynched by the people who watched. One of the trickiest things that he did on record was throwing his wakizashi at someone to kill them. Also, this is a fictional Musashi, remember? He didn't even remember who the fuck Koujiro was. If we're going by historicity, Musashi only ever used swords or wooden swords.

Also, points to Itagaki for reading the Book of Five Rings:
>Adopt a stance with the head erect, neither hanging down, nor looking up, nor twisted. Your forehead and the space between your eyes should not be wrinkled. Do not roll your eyes nor allow them to blink, but slightly narrow them.
>It is important in strategy to know the enemy's sword and not to be distracted by insignificant movements of his sword. You must study this. ...It is necessary in strategy to be able to look to both sides without moving the eyeballs.
>Grip the long sword with a rather floating feeling in your thumb and forefinger, with the middle finger neither tight nor slack, and with the last two fingers tight.
etc. Look at pic related - check his hands and eyes.
There's a good deal of technique/appearance that Itagaki lifted perfectly from the book.

>If we're going by historicity, Musashi only ever used swords or wooden swords.
I'm pretty sure I remember the Book of Five Rings also spoke explicitly about not having a favorite weapon but mastering them all for every situation.

It does, but he never really used them. The only recorded instance of him not using a sword was his first-ever duel at age 13, as far as I know.

That's the only instance I remember in Baki where it actually looks like someone has a battle aura rather than just being so strong he distorts the scenery.

Well, there was also this.

Whats going on with the scanlations?

Say there's a big earthquake while a fight is going on and Musashi lands on his imaginary sword. Does it hurt him?

What are you asking specifically? I can answer basically anything, but I ain't gonna answer everything at once

Early baki looks strange as fuck.

The proportions are so... normal?

yes less detailed

That's Seikuuken, though, not aura.

It's still a nonreal thing that is visible and doesn't distort the scenery.

bump because fuck you and also the guy didn't answer my question to his question

This manga is going to stars, edge as hell

>going to stars
yes, yes it is
the first stars fell, and now Motobe must ascend to become the new stars

Motobe won?

Mu-sashi lose?

Memetobe showing those meathead fighters how it's done.

Huh. Jack's clapping to the right of Kaku - seems to be the same shirt pattern, at least. Guess he's not as salty as we thought. I haven't figured out who's wearing the watch, though.
