Years later, tourism is dominated by two major players - Himeya, providing gondola tours on Aqua; and Aria Company, providing wreck diving tours and watersports on Manhome. Orange Planet, a major travel agency originating from Aqua, is nominally a subsidiary of Himeya, but does business with both companies at arm's length; balancing the two companies so it remains relevant and does not get dissolved.
Following years of relatively peaceful competition, Himeya's policy shifts to industrial espionage, negative advertising and outright sabotage. Aika, an upstart Himeya employee, is sent to Manhome in an attempt to stage a media controversy. She is greeted by Akari, a young and cheerful diving instructor.
