I read or heard somewhere that 80% of immigrants admitted are granted residency based on the points system (education, job skills, language fluency etc) 10% are family reunifications, and 10% are for humanitarian reasons (ie refugees). If this is truly the case and continues to be the case than it isnt as bad for Canada as some make it out to be. (10% of 300,000 is ony 30k).
