Word on Manafort indictment is that it's a humongous stretch and the entire point is to put pressure on Manafort into flipping on Trump. Prob is, Manafort's cousel are well aware how much of a long shot those charges are. By all accounts it appears that Manafort's lobbying was *not* illegal, he just didn't report it. By if the lobbying was legal, then technically those funds can never be laundered. They could potentially pin a FARA violation but even those are extremely difficult. So why did Mueller go all in on Manafort with a laundry list of charges they'll be hard pressed to get convictions on? Probably the Uranium One news.
They're not investigating him so they could potentially find another financial crime, but as it stands now the meat and potatoes of those charges are gonna be insanely difficult for the prosecution to prove.

The other question regarding Manafort indictment is if any of the evidence was collected with the 2nd wiretap, and if so, what evidence did the FBI provide the FISA court to obtain that wiretap. If it was the Trump Dossier Manafort's legal team could have all that evidence thrown out.
It's likely most will take cues from Norway, Poland, Austria or the Czech Republic and elect authoritarian populists before things get beyond salvaging.
Specifically i'm thinking Sweden, Italy and possibly France - although France's problems will require a lot of dirty work to... "cleanse")

Kelly was speaking during an interview on Fox News when he made the comments, defending the historical significance of the Confederacy.
“Robert E. Lee was an honorable man. He was a man who gave up his country to fight for his state,” Kelly told the network about the Southern general in the bloody war between the north and the south.
The Civil War was fought after the South seceded from the Union mostly due to a disagreement over slavery.
“The lack of the ability to comprise led to the civil war,” Kelly said.
“Men and women of good faith on both sides made their stand where their conscience had them make their stand.”
Chelsea Clinton blasted Kelly’s version of history in a tweet Monday night.
“General Kelly, there is no “compromise” regarding slavery. Ever,” Clinton tweeted. “And, the Constitution’s original 3/5ths Compromise was an abomination.”
