Filteries thread

Don't want to seem like a slide, but I haven't seen one posted for a while.

Alright, to start off, the only tax that exists at all is a direct flat tax from all citizens that has to be paid regardless of socio-economic status, age, or any other criteria. This money goes to judicial systems, policing systems which will be a separate branch from the military which is also funded through this tax, a tiny bit of conservation which only really stands as a place holder for upkeep of government property and the immediate surrounding area, and housing for those who've been imprisoned (which shouldn't be very much since sentences will likely be public lashings or something of the sort), and that's really pretty much it.

We have very liberal social policies in terms of freedoms, but don't allow communist filth like degenerate homo marriages that promote pedophilia or unions of any kind, or any transgender bullshit. Our economic policies are pretty far right with the only real governmental institutions being executive, legislative, judicial and defense. Regions within the governed area have extreme autonomy and are allowed to rule and legislate as they plea so long as there's no overlap with the overarching policies enacted through the confederate constitution.

Anyone else?

>seem like a slide
it is

>90% of board is clickbait news stories
>thread wants to talk about actual political policies is slide

this is why this board is so shit

Relax faggot, one of thier tactics is to call things slide.

It would be cool to have a programmable simulator to tinker with everything, I'm sure the government has one already.

I really just like the filteries site. It's fun to mess with. Also, it's great to use kind of like if it were notes in a political discussion.
Don't get me wrong, I knew some people would call it a slide no matter what I said and I can grant you that it's not good timing considering everything happening right now.
With that being said, though, it is a political board and I genuinely want to just discuss politics without all the other bullshit for just once if that's possible.

its true though. I can make some retarded ass thread like "why millenials like to eat shit" or "look this facebook post X got BTFO" and get 300 replies but someone makes an interesting thread for conversation and gets burried

coke, anyone?
bump

you literally have 0% tax for everything. You could at least have 1% tax to pay your police and trees

>not reading the OP

well why not put personal tax its pretty much what you were describing

I suppose I had to make a choice between leaving in what you've described (which I felt was more of an indicator for personal income taxation) and not doing what you said, but leaving a clear discrepancy in places like the military funding slider, the budget deficit, and the lack of ability to indicate a direct flat tax.
I felt like reiterating the point that there's no income tax was a little more important at the time, I suppose.

Either way, we seem to be describing an issue that suggests there aren't enough options or detailed options for me to convey my hypothetical government the way I want to.

well your government doesn't really make sense, seems some kind of libertarian/paleoconservatism or something

It basically is pretty libertarian.
Explain why it doesn't really make sense.

well the most important why don't you have publicly funded military? is the military private? or just random citizen militias with guns?

I think a flat tax is the fairest system. From top to bottom everyone contribute the same percentage of their share. This would also mean getting rid of all the loopholes that only business owners and most well off people usually take advantage of but it would also mean getting rid of most welfare gibs that kikes love to take advantage of the most both welfare and loopholes.

So you just still haven't read the OP...

Agreed. I wish filteries would recognize other forms of taxation like the direct flat tax

what the hell is a direct tax?

How the hell did you even find yourself here?

I just did a search and it says personal taxes and corporate taxes are both a type of direct tax..

Taxes are gay. 100% import tariffs is the ideal way to fund a state. You may not like it, but this is what peak politics looks like.

>a direct tax is a tax imposed upon a person or property as distinct from a tax imposed upon a transaction, which is described as an indirect tax.
for fuck's sake, does everyone have to hold your hand?

thats what I said too faggot. Personal tax and Corporate taxes ARE direct taxes, so you already have the option to put a flat direct tax..

My issue with import/export taxation is that they would have to be documented and searched and all that shit.

I really hope you're just fucking with me at this point

seriously, you sound very confused

Personal taxes + Corporate taxes = Direct tax

Consumption taxes = Indirect tax

Instead of taxes, why not let the government go into business to fund itself?
Road building services, state-owned casinos, security services...
Hell, many states already have a lottery system. Add casinos to this. Taxes are bullshit.

Who funds those businesses? Me, you, john johnson down the street? How do we decide who funds that, and who gives how much towards that business and how do we agree that those particular funds are spent that particular way

I never said you were wrong you nigger.
A flat direct tax means a personal tax directly to the government not regulated by portions of income, and flat for all citizens. You not being able to assume that's what I meant from the beginning made me think you're new here, which I haven't changed my mind about.
Lurk moar, reddit

Taxes already mostly rely on honesty, same with tariffs. It's easy to smuggle a few things but most report honestly, especially companies. Tax investigators target their investigations based on discrepancies in tax reports.

I'd rather not institute governmental decisions which rely entirely upon citizens' levels of integrity or willingness to conform to our laws.
This is why systems have been set up that can exist without having to trust them, such as judicial institutions or defensive institutions.

>A flat direct tax means a personal tax directly to the government not regulated by portions of income, and flat for all citizens.

what does that even mean? are you saying you want a personal tax but instead of a flat percentage you want an actual flat number like 1000 dollars each?

...

why can't you explain exactly what you mean then? you make no sense. You talk about direct tax like its some kind of special tax when its just a personal tax

>Who funds those businesses?
Profits from the businesses. Take a loan to start.
Why shouldn't the government play by the rules everyone else has to play by?
If it cannot compete using honest means, why should it exist?

Point is your criticism of tariffs applies as much to taxes. Enforcing tariffs is easier than enforcing income tax for example, not harder.

I think he means a flat tax rate on income instead of tax brackets on incremental "portions of income" but hes too god damn autistic to explain anything so

tariffs depend on the country.
Iceland for example has almost no arable land, so how are you gonna get fruit and vegetables if you arent gonna import them?

well he already has the option for that. he can choose minimum and maximum tax rate so if you put both the same number its a flat tax

With no tax people have 40% more income, companies do better and can pay higher wages. Relative to purchasing power the fruit with a 100% tariff would still be cheaper. A lot of our fruits and vegetables are not imported btw, we have geothermal greenhouses, even experimental bananas. The high tariff would encourage those industries, they would have a competitive edge against foreign imports.

well maybe it can work for food but how about manufacturing? its not like every country can make their own computers and iphones and cars

The thin he seems to be describing is an unconstitutional head tax.

Which is exactly why we want to limit the influence of the government. We don't trust it, so we take away influence.
In theory, I don't exactly have a lot of problems with what you propose, but I'm not sure it's practicality is valuable enough for me to change my mind.

...

No, I've just explained it time and time again. This tax system is set up to exist without any consideration of income or lack thereof. I'm autistic and stubborn because he's not willing to reread what I've told him twice to read again already?

It just means consumption of luxuries like computers, iphones and cars fund the state instead of taxing struggling poor people and growing businesses. These luxuries are still cheap compared to purchasing power even though their price doubles from the tariffs.

Yes. Every person owes a flat tax annually or biannually I think regardless of socio-economic status, gender, age, or any other criteria. It's not a personal income tax and it has nothing to do with income by any means. I've been extremely consistent this entire time in saying it's not an income tax and it's just a basic flat and direct tax. I'm not sure how else to explain that to you guys.

so if someone is completely poor and has 0 income he still gets taxed? that sounds like a regressive tax not flat tax

OP is a greedy subversive faggot btw

That's their problem. If they can't pay the tax, they're escorted out of the country.
When we allowed women the right to vote, we also began accepting votes for compassion tax where we feel bad for everyone who can't provide for themselves and as a result take things others have provided themselves and give them to people who can't or don't want to.
It's not other people's job to provide for you. If you can't find a role in society, you don't get to be apart of society.
You're falling back in to mockingbird feminist communist thinking and sound like

>highly authoritarian
>conscription
>tons of public funding
>unemployment lol
>climate change lol

What is this? Vicky 2?

the game?

Democracy 2 is almost entirely played with these kinds of sliders.
Superpower 2 also has sliders.
Does anyone have more examples of these sort of political simulators?

that's not what those mentioning "slide" are referring to

Rate my benevolent monarchy

Thanks. You are a retard.

Forgot the top part

I mean I know there's games like political simulators that use sliders. It seemed like you misunderstood why were were talking about sliders.

or sliding, rather

absolute trash
